was ihnen weitere> Anwendungsgebiete gegenüber andern be- kannten! Umformern erschliesst.
Contact converter working as a rectifier or inverter. For some purposes in heavy current engineering, efforts have been made for a long time to solve the rectification of alternating current or the opposite problem with the help of mechanical converters, so-called contact converters. The advantages of this mechanical converter include: a. in their high efficiency, which is z.
B. allowed to achieve 20 watt savings compared to valve power converters or dry rectifiers with low power. However, these mechanical converters still have the not insignificant advantage in practice that their mode of operation can be overlooked even by untrained personnel, and that repairs can accordingly be carried out on site by non-specialists. Depending on the circumstances, there are also other advantages, such as independence from temperature, chemical influences, low weight, vibration resistance, etc.
Means have become known with the help of which one can relieve the contacts of such converters so largely from switching lights that they can also be built for high performance with sufficient operational reliability and durability. Such with tel are z. B. Primary valves, suction-type torque motors, switching chokes, quenching capacitors, switch-on chokes, pre-excitations, etc.
With devices of this type, special care must be taken to design the contact device. If the contacts are driven by a motor and a gear, the necessary lubrication of the bearing points inevitably brings about certain maintenance requirements that are not always met in practical operation.
If you use the well-known pendulum or oscillation rectifiers for the contact devices, it is to be expected that spring breaks will occur, and these devices also present difficulties. ten in multi-phase operation "since the oscillation phases of the individual single-phase devices do not readily have the required fixed relationship to one another.
For the practice of chargers, for example for electric vehicles, which have recently become more and more naturalized, a mnecha: nical judge with a high degree of efficiency is desirable, whose operational reliability is high, whose maintenance requirements are as low as possible Costs should also be as low as possible. The invention meets this need.
It consists in the fact that a magnetically actuated, polarized 'roller contact device with wobbling contact is provided as the contact device in a contact converter for working on counter voltage, and that the polarization is excited by the DC voltage. This results in a charger that meets the requirements listed; is fair to a high degree.
A device in particular can be used as a rolling contact device. thawing contact body, which is directly driven by a rotating magnetic field, can be used.
In the drawing, the invention is shown in one embodiment: @the terminals 1, 2 iind 3 of a three-phase network, a contact converter is connected to charge a collector. The collector 45 has the terminals 4 and 5. But a Sparumspanner with the windings 6, 7 and 8, the voltage is reduced to the neces sary size. The three-phase voltage is fed to the contact device via switching chokes 9, 10 and 11.
The contact device consists of three contact segments 12, 1.3 and 14 arranged on a circumference, on which a tumbling contact body with a central Stromabnahmepol 15 rolls off, so that 15 successively makes contact with 12, 13 and 14 as it is for rectification necessary is.
The drive of the Kontaktkör pers takes place: by a magnetic field, not shown, which receives its three-phase reguag directly from the network 1, 2, 3 through the winding 16, 17 and 18, and which also polarizes through the winding 19.
holds that a-ii is connected directly to terminals 4 and 5 of the collector. To relieve the contacts from acoustic fire, release condensers 20, 21, 22 are held parallel to the contacts, which are attenuated by resistors.
Protection against overcurrents, short circuits and the like is provided by a contactor 23, 24, 25, 26, which interrupts the three three-phase phases and a direct current pole at the same time when the protective coil 27 is de-energized. The ,, (, Sehützspule is fed by the three-phase voltage 1 ... 3.
In the circuit of this coil are one, two or even more than two Cherstromauslöser 28 and 29 and a circuit breaker 30 to arbitrary. Shutdown. During commissioning, 1, 2, 3 are finitely connected to the network and 4, 5 to the collector, the polarity of 4 and 5 and the connection sense of 1, 2, 3 being arbitrary. This is of great importance for the practice, since in no way can short-circuit or discharge instead of charging of the collector occur due to incorrect viewing.
Since the collector voltage 4, 5 itself is applied to polarity 19, the generated direct voltage changes its sense of direction in each case so that it corresponds to the collector voltage for the charge. The same applies to the connections 1., 2, 3, in that the Ta.umel see disk adjusts its direction of rotation and its phase position to the respective voltage of the transformer 6, 7 and 8. The switching reactors 9, 10 and 11 can be energized from the main direct current to achieve a desired charging characteristic,
what is not shown in the drawing. The contactor can also consist of three poles in that, for example, phase 1 is not: interrupted. The overcurrent releases are set in such a way that in the event of faults of any kind that cause the maximum permissible current to be exceeded, the contactor to the.
Bring failure so that the contact device is disconnected from the three-phase voltage as well as from the collector voltage. You can also put a heat release in the circuit of the contactor coil 27, which is in the contact device.
is attached, for example, at 15, and which responds if, for whatever reason, the commutation takes place under switching fire. Since the minimum voltage of a switching arc is around 10 V, a charging current of 20 A at the contacts produces a power of at least 200 W, which quickly activates the thermal release and thus protects the contact device.
If the protective device is set to be very sensitive, it can easily lead to disconnection in the event of temporary voltage changes. It is possible to provide .discharge with an automatic reclosing device, in such a way that, after a fault that has occurred, charging is automatically resumed becomes.
In order to achieve a certain charging current regardless of the mains voltage, the chokes 9, 10 and 11 can be seen with a positive or negative additional, load-independent pre-excitation, which can be in series with the excitation winding 19, for example, and 'can with Help, a little one. Regulating resistor, in each case automatically or by hand d: he fluctuating mains voltage 1, 2, $ so adjusted that the charging current assumes the most favorable value according to the charging status of the collector.
In order for the contactor to be tripped in the event of faults in the voltage stanchions, instead of a single contactor coil 27, for example, three individual coils can be arranged which are connected to the three individual phase voltages and are coordinated in such a way that even if they do not occur or if they are stronger Lowering a phase voltage, the contactor switches off. Another DC coil can also be arranged in such a way that the contactor drops out as soon as the DC voltage falls below a certain value.
Rolling contact devices of the type described are easiest to build with a small consideration of the contact times of the individual phases. In those cases in which the consumer places no value on smoothing the direct current, you will work without smoothing chokes in the direct current circuit, possibly even with intermittent direct current, so that the overlap of the contact times can be small or even zero.
On the other hand, rolling contact devices can be built very easily for a high number of phases, so that, if necessary, the direct current can be smoothed, for example, by using a high number of phases.
A circuit with six phases and three Finzel transformers is particularly advantageous. You can constructively assemble these individual transformers with the switching reactors and thus save winding copper. The converter devices described combine all the advantages that are required of a converter device, namely:
High degree of efficiency, low maintenance, extremely easy repairs, exclusion of errors due to incorrect connections, high utilization and thus low dead weight, temperature independence and vibration resistance. These advantages ensure that they can be used universally, which extends not only to chargers, but also to many other areas of application (eg also inverters).
For example, such a device can then be used for headlight supply or as a welding converter, in which case the switching throttles or corresponding relief means for the contacts and the contact device are to be designed in such a way that temporary operation in short-circuit, i.e. when the arc is ignited, without switching lights the contacts is possible.
When using switching chokes or chokes similar to suction transformers to relieve the contacts, the contact device can be matched with these chokes in such a way that it is possible to switch directly to the consumer without a starter and without a base load by operating a switch 31 4a.s converter device to switch. This results in a further simplification in the handling of the converter device. You can also make the throttles so large, z.
E. with a level of about. 3.10 -3 s that a short-circuit current greater than the nominal current is impossible.
Finally, in the structural design of the device according to the invention, those parts that are subject to wear, such as de contacts of the Sehützes and the contacts of the contact device. such -.in housing that they can be removed by removing a sound and.
dust-proof cladding hood on all sides - extremely long and very easy to monitor and replace. As a result of the low losses, the devices described can be designed with indirect cooling so that they can be encapsulated in a tropicalized manner,
