Power cord with chokes to facilitate the commutation. It is known from the development of power converter technology that efforts were made to increase the number of phases not to let the burning time become shorter. Already with six-phase circuits. If possible, a burning time of <B> 60 '</B> is avoided and a burning time of 120 is achieved using a suction transformer. With even higher numbers of phases, e.g. B.
l'2 phases, a burning time of at least 90 is required, which can be achieved, for example, by the cooperation of three four-phase systems using a three-phase suction transformer. can.
It is now also known to use chokes - so-called switching chokes - with an iron core that saturates even with small currents in converters to facilitate commutation. With these arrangements it is necessary that the saturation knee is sharp. This requires high-quality magnetic material and in many cases a ring shape for the iron core. Therefore, the effort for the throttles is relatively large.
The object of the invention is, inter alia, to reduce the effort for the throttles by choosing a favorable circuit device. According to the invention, this is achieved by the fact that the number of phases used is greater than three, that full switch-off (Graetz circuit) is provided, and that each phase is assigned at most one throttle (switching throttle) through which current flows in both directions.
Preferably, the discharge and respectively. The winding of the main converter transformer assigned to the switching path is switched in a polygon so that the effort for it remains small and favorable commutation ratios are achieved.
If the number of phases is denoted by n, then n chokes are required, which must be dimensioned for the linked voltage. For a given DC voltage, the magnitude of the linked voltage decreases with increasing number of phases, roughly like sin n / n. The construction output (type output) of the chokes decreases accordingly. The effective value of the current flowing through each choke increases with the number of phases

from.
Overall, one obtains the expression for the construction performance of all chokes as a function of the number of phases n
EMI0002.0004
This expression is roughly equal to 1.5 for 7a = 3, roughly equal to 1.25 for 7a = 6, roughly equal to 0.9 for n = 12 and roughly equal to 0.65 for n = 24. So you can see that with too As the number of phases increases, the type output of all chokes decreases considerably.
If the converter works with mechanical contacts, in the case of short contact times to increase the switching accuracy, it is advisable to drive the contacts by an organ that carries out a non-sinusoidal movement in such a way that the contact stroke remains small at high separation and closing speeds.
In view of difficulties when switching on, the instantaneous value of the voltage at the contact to be switched on must not be greater than about 800 V. If, according to the invention, circuits with a higher number of phases than three are used, the terminal voltage generated is considerably greater than the maximum voltage occurring at the individual contact when switching on. In this way, it is possible to use the invention, in order formers who work with contacts, in a system with an isolating distance per phase considerably larger voltages than 300 V to master.
If the converter works with mechanical contacts, the invention offers the further advantage that the current through the individual contact is also in its effective value
EMI0002.0010
: decreases. Since the structural design of mechanical contacts for very large currents also offers difficulties when using artificial cooling, the invention provides the possibility of converting very large nominal currents into one unit for contact currents that are still easy to control.
If the individual commutating voltage is low, e.g. B. less than 100 V, it is advantageous to keep the inductances in the commutation circuit, especially the inductances of the lines, as small as possible. This can be achieved by equipping the main converter transformer and the switching reactors with a lot of iron and few windings and by designing the connecting lines with as little induction as possible.
The subject of the invention can also be used in particular with electrical! Use machines by, for example, providing a synchronous generator with a high number of phases directly with a commutation device made up of mechanical contacts with switching chokes; In this way, direct current generators of very high current strength and voltage are obtained without the known disadvantages of conventional collectors with grinding brushes occurring.
Finally, the invention offers the further advantage that sufficient time is available between the individual Stromübert.ragungsperioden both directions for the remagnetization of the switching chokes. With three-phase circuits, this time is only 60, and difficulties arise with regard to the requirements for the reactances in the commutation circuit, overload capacity and the possibility of full control.
These difficulties are already practically eliminated with the four-phase circuit in which the time between two current transmission periods is 90 ", but even better with the six-phase circuit.
In the drawing, the invention is shown in example. 1 ... 6 are the partial windings of the secondary side of a transformer in polygon connection. 7 ... 12 are holding chokes through which current flows in both directions, which can be pre-excited by three-phase current, for example. 13 ... 24 child switching sections, which are driven by a Syn chronmotor 25. Capacitors can be arranged parallel to the lines. The windings 1 ... 6 can represent the winding of a synchronous generator or a motor.
As already said, the invention is important for the four-phase full shutdown. This circuit, which comes into consideration in two-phase networks, requires four chokes and eight switching paths. In addition, the eight-phase full-wave circuit is important for two-phase networks. In the prevailing three-phase networks, in addition to the six-phase full disconnection shown, the nine- and twelve-phase full disconnection are preferred.
