Shut-off device with control of the shut-off device by a membrane. There are shut-off devices, e.g. B. Valves and slide, known with control by a membrane, which is bent by the pressure of a gaseous or liquid control means. A flat or corrugated metal disk is generally used as the membrane. However, metal membranes have the disadvantage that they are particularly sensitive to the. Clamping points are overstressed and subject to deformations that reduce the size of the working stroke and lead to fatigue fractures.
There are also membranes known wel che consist of a non-metallic disc with a metal armature which is in frictional contact with the valve or slide to be controlled. The reinforcement here consists of a metal disc that sits from the center of the disc against the disc edge running incisions. These metal disks must be relatively thin because of the required elasticity.
It has now been shown. that membranes reinforced in this way: can only be used with advantage for small sub-heights and for transferring small forces, but that they quickly show fatigue fractures and are destroyed if they transfer large forces at high lift heights. must especially with high switching frequency.
The subject of the invention is now a shut-off device with control of the shut-off member by a pressure of a gaseous or liquid control means by curved membrane, which consists of a non-metallic disc with a metal fitting, in which the deficiency described can be remedied that inven appropriately on one side: the membrane sector-shaped metal pieces are attached.
In the drawing, a valve is shown in cross section as Ausführungsbei game of the subject invention in Fig. 1, while Fig. 2 shows the membrane in plan view.
The valve disk a is guided in the valve body c by means of the valve rod b and held in the closed position by the spring d. The valve is opened by the membrane e, which is acted upon by a gaseous or liquid control agent. The membrane is a non-metallic disc; -It consists, for example, of leather, rubber or the like and has the advantage over a metallic membrane of greater elasticity and durability because fatigue fractures are excluded.
To prevent strong local deformation of the non-metallic membrane and to bring about a favorable distribution of the pressure forces on the entire surface of the mem brane, a metal fitting is provided on the side of the disc, which is in frictional contact with the valve rod b. Sector-shaped metal pieces k, which are attached to one side of the membrane, serve as metal fittings. The metal pieces k must be connected to the membrane if they are not. are clamped together with the membrane.
To limit the deflection of the diaphragm, stops h are used, which are either parts of a disk to be clamped with the diaphragm or which can be attached to the valve body itself.
Shut-off devices with a control diaphragm according to the invention not only have the advantage of a relatively high elasticity of the diaphragm while eliminating the risk of fatigue, but they also enable a favorable pressure distribution over the entire diaphragm surface and enable the execution of large working strokes and the transmission of large forces, which is particularly important for control valves for pressure gas switches.
