Gas burner. The object of the present invention is a gas burner, of the type of so-called economic ones, provided with members for adjusting the gas inlet.
The appended drawing shows two embodiments of the gas burner forming the subject of the invention, given by way of example.
In the first embodiment, fig. 1 and 2: The left half of fig. 1 is an elevational view and the right half a vertical section of the burner.
The left half of fig. 2 is a plan view of FIG. 1 and the right half a horizontal section along the line II - II of fig. 1.
In the second embodiment, fig. 3 and 4: The left half of fig. 3 is an elevational view and the right half a vertical section of the burner.
The left half of fig. 4 is a plan view of FIG. 3 and the right half a horizontal section along the line IV-IV of fig. 3.
The contour of the cap as well as that of the part removed from the casing in fig. 2 and 4 are shown in phantom lines.
The gas burner - according to the first embodiment has the shape of a mushroom and makes it possible to regulate both the gas inlet and that of the combustion air. It is mounted on the threaded vertical end of the elbow of a gas supply pipe 1, which penetrates through the central bore into the bottom of a casing 2 forming a bowl. In the latter, of generally cylindrical shape, fits a sleeve 3, also cylindrical, able to rotate in the casing and being pierced, on its vertical wall, with a certain number of holes 4, arranged in a horizontal row. .
The holes 4 correspond to holes 5, of the same diameter, drilled in equal numbers @ and at the same level and located on the vertical wall of the casing 2. These holes are used for the air intake, so that by moving the jacket 3 inside the casing 2, the section of the holes 5 is more or less closed and thereby the combustion air intake is adjusted. A screw 6 is used to fix the jacket 3, after its adjustment in the most favorable position for the gas mixture.
The liner 3 is provided, at its upper part, with a bottom 7, flush with the edge of the envelope, and thus constitutes, in a way. a chamber 15 for mixing air and gas. The bottom 7 is provided with a central orifice 8 for the outlet of the gas mixture.
On the threaded vertical tubing of the elbow of the gas supply pipe 1, which enters the casing 2, is fixed an adjustable nozzle 9, in the form of a plug, which has at its upper part a bottom 10, pierced with orifices 11 gas outlet. In the center, the bottom 10 is mounted on a conical needle 12. On the nozzle 9 is screwed a cover 13, with a conical bottom provided with a central orifice 14, for the gas outlet. The cover 13 is adjustable by screwing on the nozzle 9, to allow the free section of the orifice 14 to be varied, more or less closed by the needle 12. The gas mixture which forms in the chamber 15 of the outlet 3 comes out. through orifice 8 and arrives under a cap 16 which covers the upper part of the casing 2.
In turn, this hat is pierced with one or more rows of lights 17, from which the burner flames emerge.
The burner described is very economical, thanks to the air and gas inlet regulators. In addition, the row of lights 17 concentrates the flame around the utensil to be heated.
Depending on the size and shape of the objects to be heated, the contour of the burner can be varied, giving it different shapes.
For current uses, the shape of the burner shown in fig. 1 and 2 is ample enough, even if it means giving it dimensions corresponding to the effort required of it.
For burners with a larger flow rate, the embodiment shown in FIG. 3 and 4. The cap 22 also comprises a certain number of lights 17, making it possible to obtain a more intense flame.
The holes 4 for the admission of com burant air, of the first embodiment, are replaced by notches 18 made in the bottom 19 of the casing. The jacket 20, which fits permanently into the casing, has a flange 21 on which the cover 22 rests. The upper bottom \? 3 of the jacket 20 is provided with a central duct 24, for the passage of the mixture. carbonated under the hat.
In the bore of the bottom 19 of the casing passes the vertical tubing of the elbow pipe 1, to which is also fixed an adjustable nozzle 9, the execution of which is identical to that of the first embodiment.
