Ammeter for direct installation in main power lines.
It is known to build ammeters directly into main power lines so that no current transformers are required. Ammeters with wound coils are used for smaller nominal currents. For higher rated currents, the conductor is passed directly through the window of the electromagnet and the measuring device is attached to the conductor. Known designs have the disadvantage that the measuring devices in the first-mentioned arrangement usually do not have sufficient short-circuit resistance and when installed in a kinked line the readability of the scale is poor.
To avoid these disadvantages, according to the present invention, which relates to an ammeter for direct installation in main power lines, the conductor piece passed through the electromagnet, which forms the excitation winding, is provided with a hinge in order to adjust the ammeter with respect to its scale in the viewing direction can.
An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in FIG. 1 in side view and for. Part in section, shown in Fig. 2 in front view and in Fig. 3 in plan.
The iron wing 2 of the ammeter, which is firmly connected to the pointer 3, plays in the air gap a (FIG. 3) of the electromagnet 1. The latter is mounted on the axis of rotation 4 and moves over the scale 5. The conductor section 6 is inserted through the electromagnet 1 and forms the excitation winding. It is firmly connected to the electromagnet 1 and has a recess (pan) 7, in which the bolt head 8 of a conductor section 9 is pressed by means of the press ring 10. The latter is fixed by three screws 11, which are offset by about 120¯ against each other. The ladder section 9 is therefore movable and lockable on all sides.
The points of contact between the ball 8 and the socket 7 can be silver-plated in order to achieve a small transition resistance.
The nuts 17 and the thread 13 are used to connect the ammeter.
For different current levels, either the air gap a (Fig. 3) can be e. The choice of the distance between the magnet legs 22 and 23 or the height b (FIG. 2) of the iron core of the electromagnet 1 can be selected to be of different sizes. Instead, with the air gap a remaining the same, it could also be partially covered by attaching a piece of iron, thereby creating a magnetic shunt to the air gap a.
Since there is only one conductor to excite the amp¯remeter, a short-circuit-proof design is achieved.
4 shows the installation of the ammeter in a kinked cable run. The steered part 9 of the ladder section is screwed onto a lead-through bolt 18 and secured by a lock nut 19.
This arrangement represents the structure on a power switch 20 (oil switch with saw-through). After the ammeter with its scale has been rotated in the most devoted viewing direction, the joint 7, 8, 10 (FIG. 1) is screwed tight.
In many cases, circuit breakers are designed with directly attached main current releases. Angled spacers are required for this, which have to be made and adapted from case to case.
The invention now allows the Aufhau of the main current release directly on the conductor piece 6 of the joint 6, 7, 8 (Fig. 1), whereby the release is brought into its natural position, that is, placed vertically.
FIG. 5 shows, for example, such a construction of a main current release 13 which is screwed onto the conductor section G of the amperometer and is secured by a counter mutation 1. The ladder section G has surfaces 15 on both sides for holding it after tightening the counter nut 14. The nuts 21 are used to connect the release. After the scale of the ammeter and that of the trigger have been brought into the best viewing direction, the joint is screwed tight in this position as mentioned above. In order to prevent the effect of external magnetic fields on the ammeter, a shield plate 16 made of iron is also provided.
