Danermagnetfilter.

Danermagnetic filter. Permanent magnetic filters, which are used to remove ferromagnetic parts from flowing fluids, are known. These known filters are constructed in such a way that one or more permanent magnets are arranged within the space through which the liquid to be filtered flows, which pull the ferromagnetic parts out of the flowing liquid.
According to the known proposals, the permanent magnets have either a bar or horseshoe shape. The filter effect of these magnetic filters is not satisfactory, however, because the filter space is not penetrated sufficiently evenly by the stray flux from the magnet. This is due, among other things, to the fact that every permanent magnet, regardless of its shape, e.g. rod or hoof iron shape, has a neutral zone from which magnetic lines of force do not emanate or only to a very limited extent, while one at the pole ends strong accumulation of lines of force can be observed.
This causes an uneven distribution of the force flow in the filter chamber, which cannot be compensated for by providing several permanent magnets. The uneven distribution of graft flux and its disadvantages are also not mitigated if a wire cage is placed on the effective magnetic pole after a known suggestion.
The cage increases the surface of the pole on which the magnetizable particles settle without affecting the distribution of the lines of force.
Another disadvantage of the known devices is that it is difficult to clean a full filter because in most cases the magnets have to be demagnetized to remove the adhering ferromagnetic particles.
It has also been proposed to arrange bodies in the interior of the filter,

From: the purely schematic figures show: FIG. 1 a view of a first embodiment, FIG. 2 a section along the line AA in FIG. 1, FIG. 3 a view of a further embodiment, FIG . 4 and 5. Vertical sections through two further embodiments,
6 and 7 are sections through a further embodiment, namely FIG. 6 a section along the line B-B in FIG. 7 and FIG. 7 a section along the line 1-A in FIG.
In the filter according to FIGS. 1 and 2, two rod-shaped permanent magnets 1 and 1 'are provided, the north or respectively. South poles by a soft iron plate 2 respectively. 2 'are connected to each other. The filter space is thus limited by the two permanent magnets 1 and 1 ', and by the plates 2 and 2'. From the plate 2, which has north magnetism, rods 3 protrude into the filter space, and rods 4 correspondingly from the south magnetized plate 2 '.
As can be seen from the section (FIG. 2), these bars form a grid, with bars lying next to one another showing opposite magnetism. The entire filter space through which the liquid to be filtered flows is penetrated by a magnetic leakage flux which is practically evenly distributed across all four adjacent rods. The ferromagnetic parts in the liquid to be filtered are attracted by the individual rods and held in place by them.
To clean the filter, the soft iron plates 2 and 2 'are lifted off the magnets, as a result of which the plate and the rods connected to it become primordial magnetic and the attracted ferromagnetic substances are released. For this reason it is advisable to establish the connection between the soft iron plates and the magnets using easily detachable screw connections.
Experiments have shown that with such a filter from one liter of water in which 0.91 g of chemically pure iron is suspended, practically the entire amount of iron, namely 0.90 g, is filtered out with a single passage of the liquid through the system can be.
The magnetic filter according to FIG. 3 differs from the one shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, in that instead of the rods spiral 5 and 6, that is, soft iron parts are provided which are wound in helical lines and protrude into the filter interior smooth rods result in an increase in the surface area. This surface enlargement has the consequence that the magnetic lines of force scatter particularly strongly into the surrounding space.
The spirals also have a beneficial effect as the flowing agent to be filtered is deflected several times in its direction as it flows through the device through the individual: spiral turns. This increases the filtering effect.
Since, due to the relatively low rigidity of a spiral, there is the possibility that the individual spirals come into contact with one another under the action of the flowing liquid, it is useful to cover them with a magnetically insulating material such as rubber or ceramic mass, so that a direct magnetic contact of spirals of different polarity is avoided.
In the case of the embodiments according to FIGS. 1 to 3, it can be expedient to provide a filter insert made of non-ferromagnetic material, such as rubber compound, ceramic compound, brass or the like, in the filter space. This insert, not shown in the drawings, has the purpose of protecting the magnets from contamination and attacks by the agent to be filtered.
Instead of the rod-shaped permanent magnets, a single permanent magnet can also be used, for example in the form of a ring. The 11lagnetfilter according to FIGS. 4 and 5 are magnet rings 7 respectively with such a duration. 8 equipped, which are magnetized in such a way that the upper edge of the ring shows, for example, cord and the lower edge of the ring shows south magnetism. The annular space, which is also the filter space, is respectively by a soft iron plate 9, 9 '. 10, 10 'covered.
For the passage of the liquid, these plates are provided with holes, the size of which is to be selected in accordance with the characteristics of the liquid to be filtered. In the filter room is a filter insert 11 respectively. 12 made of non-ferromagnetic material.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 4, perforated sheet metal plates 13 made of) are provided as the actual filter parts in planes parallel to the soft iron plates 9, which are magnetically controlled by the magnets via: the soft iron plates 9 and 9 ', between which there is a magnetic field are excited and in this way intensify the filtering material in the interior of the filter. In Fig. 5, however, the space in the filter element 12 with Ku rules 14 is filled.
The flow of the lines of force occurs here in a similar way to: the device according to FIG. 4 from the soft iron plate 10 over the filter insert to the balls 14. A magnetic voltage drop occurs in each ball and this forms a scatter field that attracts the ferromagnetic parts to be filtered off. The balls are to be enveloped in two ways with a magnetically isolating compound. Filling the filter space with balls is particularly advantageous.
The magnetic effect is strongest at the points where the individual spheres touch each other, so that the filtering particles initially collect at these points and leave the remaining space free for the liquid to be filtered to pass unhindered. The filters according to FIGS. 4 and 5 are cleaned in a simple manner by removing: the entire filter insert, after one of the soft iron plates has been removed for this purpose.
With this in mind, one of the soft iron plates (9 or 10) is conveniently screwed on easily detachably, while the second) soft iron plate (9 'or 10') can be firmly connected to the magnets by soldering, welding or riveting.
Removing the filter insert with the soft iron bodies contained therein from the filter has the consequence that the filter parts become non-magnetic and can therefore easily be freed from the adhering, filtered particles by rinsing, for example. For the filter body to be magnetically excited, another shape can be selected instead of the spherical shape, for example that of an ellipsoid. The filter space can also be used with, for example. Chips made of soft iron are filled.
Depending on the nature of the liquid to be filtered, good filter effects can also be achieved with a fabric made of soft iron in which the warp and weft are polarized in opposite directions. In Fig. 6 and 7, a magnetic filter is shown in which such a filter fabric is built. The magnet 15 has the shape of a hollow prism, the cross-sections of which are perpendicular to the magnet axis and are delimited by rectangular lines.
The interior of the hollow prism is closed off by soft iron plates 16, 16 'perforated one or more times. In the filter space enclosed by the magnet and the soft iron plates, two mutually opposite shoulders 18, 18 'and 19, 19' protrude from each cover plate. The opposing approaches thus have the same polarity. Between these sets on the filter fabric 17 is attached in a suitable manner, for.
B. by clamping or with the help of a filter insert made of non-magnetic material, in which: the tissue is housed. The weft threads extend, for example, from the south-magnetized attachment 18 to the likewise south-magnetized attachment 18 ', while the warp threads extend from the north-magnetized attachment 19 to the opposite attachment 19'.
The wires of the fabric are isolated from each other either by cladding with kera mix material or with rubber or the like. It. several fabrics attached in this way could of course also be provided one above the other.
