Liquid containers that can be sealed with a self-sealer and emptied by tilting. The subject of the invention is a liquid container which can be closed by means of a slide and emptied by tilting, in which the container head carrying the closing slide is provided with an elongated emptying opening, the wall bordering the opening channel on one narrow side being at right angles and the one on the other narrow side being the channel limiting wall runs at an acute angle to the plane of the opening, for the purpose of
that the air when tilting the container after the first mentioned. Narrow side to a perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the opening horizontal axis, along the other, when tilting to lie up coming narrow side can freely enter the interior of the container.
The design of the drainage opening according to the invention ensures that the liquid flows out smoothly. Most of the common ones. Liquid containers do not correspond to this requirement, as explained with reference to the drawing.
The drawing also shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention in a schematic representation, namely FIGS. 1 to 3 show the design of the liquid container per se, FIG. 4 the cross section of a known container and FIGS. 5 to 7 the assembly of the new container with the closure, as well as the function of the latter.
1 shows the vertical section through a bottle head; Fig. 2 shows the top view of a bottle head; Fig. 3 shows the section along the line A-B in Fig. 2; Fig. 4 shows schematically a previously ge conventional bottle in cross section.
The glass container 1 is provided with a head 2 which contains the emptying opening 3, the elongated shape of which can be seen in FIG. 2, and to which a closure slide is attached.
The upper slide part 11 (see. Fig. 5 to 7) is passed through the Nu th 5 (Fig. 3) in the container head and carries an organ 14, which respectively through the inclined surfaces 6 on the two long sides of the rectangular container head 2. the inclined surface 7 is controlled in such a way that it is lifted from the surface of the bottle head in each case during the opening movement of the slide.
In the position of the container shown in Fig. 1 and 2, the closure is opened by moving the slider to the right and closed by the opposite movement.
As can be seen from FIG. 2, the elongated emptying opening 3 is designed in the shape of a channel (8) on the pouring side, that is, the cross section tapers into a point, and the top plate at the outflow edge 9 is designed in the shape of a beak. This design of the outflow opening and the outflow edge 9 ensures that even when the smallest amounts of liquid are withdrawn, the outflow takes place smoothly and the annoying "pulling on" of the liquid at the outflow edge is avoided.
In this respect, the wedge-shaped design of the neck edge at 9, which can be seen in FIG. 1, is advantageous.
Fig. 4 shows one of the known bottles, consisting of the container base 1 and the neck 2. As ersicht Lich from the drawing, has the usual training where BEZW after the bottle neck. the emptying opening 3 attaches at right angles to the container, the disadvantage
that in the tilted position the joint x between the vessel and the neck dips into the liquid level S and thereby prevents air from entering the interior of the vessel. This disadvantage is in the illustrated embodiment of the invention, as can be seen from Fig. 1, since this safely avoids that the one, Naem Lich the wall of the opening channel coming to lie upwards when tilting is at an acute angle to the plane of the opening,
where advantageously the cross-section of the emptying opening on the side of the spitzwink lig standing wall to the opening plane is constantly wider from the mouth inward, so that the emptying opening on this side merges directly into the container wall.
This design of the container can have a more favorable effect as the use of the slide closure, in contrast to plug and screw closures, enables the vessel neck to be short.
In detail, the shape relationships must be determined depending on the purpose and dimensions of the vessels, since, for example, for perfume bottles, aesthetic aspects must also be taken into account.
5 to 7 show the upper part of a liquid container with a closure slide, namely: FIG. 5 shows the container in section with the closure slide in the closed position, FIG. 6 the same embodiment seen from the front, FIG. opened slide, also partly in section.
On the two long sides of the container head 2, the grooves 5 are arranged, in which the slide 11 is guided by means of the guide strips 12 formed by inward bending of the longitudinal walls of the slide. Between the surface to be sealed 13 of the container and the lid of the slide 11 is.
the organ 14 is arranged, which carries the sealing plate 15 on its underside, and which is provided with a leaf spring 16 which is supported against the cover of the slide 11, and thereby presses the sealing plate 15 onto the surface to be sealed. Via this, the member 14 is pressed in the closed position by the cover of the slide il onto the surface 13 to be sealed.
In order to prevent the sealing plate 15 from being damaged by friction during the sliding opening movement, the following devices are provided: As can be seen from FIG. 5, the end edge E of the member 14 in the closed position is lower than the edge to be sealed Surface 13 of the container, namely this front edge g is based on the inclined surface 8 on the container head.
Furthermore, the organ 14 is provided with a pair of tabs L1 and L2, of which the tabs L are guided in the recesses A on the container head 2, while the tabs L2 move through the inclined surface during the opening movement of the slide F control, resp. up to the height of the to be sealed: let surface 13 lift. The pair of plates L ,. is through the lower limita- tion edge of the recesses A, which extend from left to right in the drawing in FIGS. 5 and 7, out.
If the slide 11 is moved from the position shown in FIG. 5 to the right in order to expose the outflow opening, the load on the organ 14 is first relieved in that the cover of the slide 11 detaches itself from the apex 14 'of this organ. If the slide 11 is moved further to the right, the two transverse edges K 'formed by the end of the slide feet 12 grip the downwardly bent end hook 14 ", and the member 14 is carried along as the slide moves further.
At the same time, the front part of the organ 14 is raised by the edge K of the organ 14, which follows the inclined surface S on the container head, and the organ 14 is raised against the pressure of the leaf spring 16 by the tabs L2, which follow the inclined surface F, whereby a sliding Friction of the sealing plate 15 on the sealing surface 13 is avoided. When the tabs L. reach the rear end of the surface 13, the tabs L sliding in the recesses A take control until they reach the rear end A1 of the recesses A, which limits the movement of the slide.
During the closing movement of the slide, the front edge K and the tabs L ,. supported organ 14 first moved in the lifted position until the front edge K reaches the front end of the sealing surface 13 and slides downward on the inclined surface S until the sealing plate 15 rests on the sealing surface 13. At the end of the movement, the cover of the slide 11 again grips the apex 14 'of the organ 14 and presses the same onto the sealing surface.
