Circular saw with swing-out saw blade, in particular for metalworking. There are already pendulum circular saws with a saw blade arranged above the workbench and also other circular saws with a saw blade that works from below and can be swung out be known. However, these saws are specially designed for woodworking, have an open construction and require protective devices that prevent the worker from doing his work.
The present invention relates to a circular saw with a swing-out saw blade, in particular for metal processing. The invention is characterized by a box-shaped, only downwardly open machine housing, with means for swinging off the saw blade, means for driving it and also means for lifting, lowering, setting and locking the saw blade and for automatically lowering the same into the machine housing are, and all driven, to drive the saw blade serving parts are located inside the machine housing and the saw blade protrudes only in its working position development from the machine housing.
The invention makes it possible to build a circular saw in which none. Inconvenient protective devices are necessary for the saw blade and in which the saw blade is accessible from all sides and free for clamping the workpieces, which of course significantly increases the performance of the machine and at the same time reduces the risk of accidents to a minimum.
The accompanying drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely: FIG. 1 shows a side view of the circular saw, FIG. 2 shows a top view, FIG. 3 shows a front view, and FIGS. 4 and 5 show details. In the box-shaped machine housing 1 (Fig. 2), which is only open at the bottom, a support 3 is attached to the underside of the table top 2.
On the carrier 3, which also serves to support a countershaft 4, a frame is articulated with arms 5, 5 'and with a swingable part 6 that carries a shaft 7 on which a circular saw blade 8 and a drive pulley 9 are seated ,. Which are driven by the countershaft 4 from. The countershaft is driven by a pendulum-like electric motor 10 with the oscillating axis 10 'and the belt R below this shaft on an inner wall of the machine housing 1.
One end of a hand lever 11 is attached to the swingable part 6 of the frame, the other end of which, designed as a handle 11 ', protrudes from the machine housing and which hand lever 11 is used to raise and lower the saw blade. In order to be able to insert and determine the saw blade at a desired height, the following means are provided: One end of a spindle 13 is screwed into a nut 12 that can be pivoted on the hand lever 11.
The other end of the spindle 13 carries a gear 17 in which a wedge 19 that can be displaced in a groove 20 of the spindle 13 is fastened so that the spindle 13 can rotate with the gear 17 and at the same time move axially. The gear 17 is rotatably mounted in a bearing 14 'of a rocker arm 14 and secured against axial displacement by an adjusting ring S. The other bearing 14 "of the rocker 14 has an axis 18, one end of which carries a wheel 17 'which engages in the wheel 17 and the other end of which is provided with a handwheel 18' through the machine frame.
The parts 17, 17 'form a gear train. The rocker arm 14 is swingable by means of pin 15 on a carrier 16 which is fastened to the machine frame 1 of the circular saw BE, whereby the spindle 13 can follow the vibrations of the lever 11. In order to limit the upward travel of the spindle 13, an adjusting ring 21 is provided on the spindle 13, and a nut 22 is provided on the spindle 13 for the purpose of limiting this downward travel and securing the same, including a hand lever and saw blade. .
In order to have the hands free for certain work after setting the saw blade, a pull rod 24 consisting of the lever 23 and the pull rod 24 connected to the hand lever 11 consists of the foot lever on the hand lever.
A counterweight 25 acting on the hand lever 11 serves to balance the frame, the saw blade 8 and the hand lever 11, 11 ', the balancing being made in such a way that when the hand is released, respectively. Foot lever, due to the excess weight of the named parts compared to the counterweight, these parts lower and,
the saw blade is automatically lowered into the machine housing.
The table top 2 has a table part 2 'which can be displaced in the direction towards the saw blade and away from the saw blade, so that saws of different thicknesses can be used. One side surface of the saw blade always rests on the stationary table top part, whereby the position of one side of the cut is always determined, while the position of the other side of the cut is limited by the movable table part 2 '.
As can be seen, all driven parts used to drive the saw blade are stored inside the machine housing and the saw blade only protrudes from this housing in the working position.
The use of the described circular saw is as follows: If, for example, pieces of rods are to be sawed off, the necessary (not shown) displaceable stops are placed on the table top 2 and the rods to be separated are roughly set thereon. Then the saw blade 8 is set by means of the handwheel 18, the wheels 17, 17 'and the spindle 13 with the lever 11 on the workpieces,
that the same can be lifted practically only up to the upper edge of the same when actuated by the lever 11 and the frame.
After the stops have been set, the sawing work is carried out by actuating the hand lever 11 or. of the foot lever: When the hand lever is released, the saw blade is automatically sunk into the machine housing due to the excess weight of its parts compared to the counterweight 25, so that you can work on the table top 2 with the saw blade running without risk.
The drawn and described circular saw is particularly suitable for cutting off pieces of bars, for milling grooves and the like, for processing workpieces that have to be moved or rotated on the table, for processing long bars and pieces of irregular shape, which cannot be processed on machines with protective devices.
