Safety device against theft of bicycle pumps. There are already many backup devices such. B. Locks are known by which the theft of bicycle pumps is to be prevented. However, none of these known devices has so far been able to experience general use because they are all either too complicated or also too expensive.
The present invention is a safety device which, compared to the known devices, has the advantage of great simplicity. It has both the frame part of the bicycle carrying the pump and the frame itself, which is in the form of an elastic band, the ends of which overlap, whereby a lockable clamping device holding the latter together secures the immobility of the pump in relation to the bicycle frame in the tensioned state .
The accompanying drawing shows an example of an embodiment of the subject invention. Fig. 1 shows part of the device developed; Fig. 2 shows the device in section; Fig. 3 shows the device in the position of use Ge.
As can be seen from the drawing, be the device sits a band-shaped, ela tical organ 1, preferably made of metal, such as. B. steel. The band has a square opening 2 in its middle part and two slots 3 and 4 at its ends which do not extend to the edge. The opening 2 serves to receive a four-edged end 5 of a screw bolt 6 with a head 7. As ersicht Lich from Fig. 2, the tape 1 includes in the use position with one end of the tube 8 of the bicycle frame that carries the pump 9 while its other end is wound around the pump body itself.
The two slotted ends overlap one another so that the seat braces at least partially overlap one another, depending on the dimensions of the bicycle frame and the pump. Slots 3 and 4 are long enough. in order to iii allow wide limits to the abines suns of the parts that are too comprehensive. The band 1 is preformed in such a way that it strives to assume the shape shown in FIG. 2 by itself, but can slide freely over both the frame tube 8 and the pump body 9.
If now the screw 6 is passed through the opening 2 and through the overlapping slots 3 and 4, whereby it passes between the frame tube 8 and the pump body 9, in such a way that the square part 5 lies in the opening 2, a wing nut can be used 10, which together with the bolt 6 forms a Spannvor direction, the band 1 so tensioned who the that the pump is held immobile with respect to the bicycle frame.
In order to prevent the nut 10 from being unscrewed, the screw 6 is provided with a Dureli bore 11 through which any locking device known per se, e.g. B. a small padlock, can be carried out.
-After the screw 6 has been removed, the band 1 is attached to the frame part 8, which can be done very easily due to the elasticity of the band. Then the screw 6 is inserted again and the wing nut screwed on in such a way that the closed band between the two pump supports 12 located on the frame tube 8 can be freely pushed back and forth. Then the Vorrich device slips due to its own weight in the Darge on the drawing in broken lines presented position B. The pump can now without obstacles in the usual way between the supports 1? inserted -ground.
If it is in place, the device is moved from position B to position @, i. left so that it rests on the pump handle 13 .. Then the nut 10 is tightened until both the pump and the frame tube 8 are tightly clamped. It is then secured by means of a padlock passed through the opening 11 of the screw. The screw nut can also be a ribbed nut. It can also have a sleeve-like approach which passes through the two overlapping slots 3 and 4.
The band 1 can of course also be made of other material than steel, e.g. B. made of brass or another elastic material, such as. B. appropriately reinforced rubber.
The inner surface of the belt 1, which comes into contact with your frame tube 8 and the pump, can of course be covered with rubber or fabric in a suitable manner to prevent damage to those parts.
