Process for the production of embossing matrices for the embossing of mechanical acoustic writing in acoustic films. The invention relates to a method for producing stamping dies for stamping mechanical sound writing in sound films.
This method is characterized in that in the wax layer of an original recording tape with a wax layer on both sides of the bundle of scall traces at least one cross-section parallel to the bundle of sound traces, with a depth of at least the thickness of the sound tape to be embossed, is formed Creation of a cutting rib for the edges of the sound film and then galvanoplastically creates the matrix from the wax band.
The die produced according to the inventive method also enables the edges of the film to be cut at the same time as the sound tracks are embossed.
The cutting of the edge parts of the ge embossed film is done primarily for reasons of material savings; because the films to be provided with the bundle of sound tracks by pressing a sound tape die have straight and smooth edges, but are kept wider than the die to be pressed to ensure a good pressing, so that when the films are played their width is not that of the bundle of sound tracks or does not need to rise significantly,
A considerable amount of superfluous material would be required if the films were not cut to the side next to the bundle of sound tracks.
In the drawing, two execution examples of the method according to the inven tion are illustrated, namely Fig. 1 shows the production of a die which, in addition to the ribs serving to cut off the sound film, also has lateral guide ribs, Fig. 2 shows the production of a die, in which the ribs serving to cut off the sound film are used at the same time to guide the die during the pressing process, FIG. 3 shows the finished die during the stamping and lateral trimming of a film.
Fig. 4 illustrates the embossing process and Fig. 5 shows the use of the ribs serving for cutting as lateral guide ribs for the die.
Fig. 1 is a section through an inscribed original sound tape 1, the grus of a carrier layer 2 and a lichen layer 3 located on this lichen.
In the wax layer in which the sound traces 4 are cut, a groove 5 is cut on) outside the sound trace bundle and parallel to it, the depth of which is greater than that of the sound traces, and another groove 6 with a knife-like cross-section is cut, whose depth in turn is greater than that of the groove 5, namely equal to the strength of the films to be embossed or greater than this strength.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2, only two grooves 6 with a knife-shaped cross section are cut into the wax layer of the original tape.
The groove surface 9 facing the sound tracks 4 runs perpendicular or almost perpendicular to the film surface.
The surface of the BEZW with the sound tracks 4 and the grooves 6. The sound tape provided with the grooves 5 and 6 is now provided with a conductive coating, for example by graphitizing or by cathode sputtering, whereupon the matrix 7 is produced in the galvanic bath. This' die then shows in its middle part. the Schallspu ren 4, and on each side of these tracks the grooves 6 respectively. ribs corresponding to grooves 5 and 6.
In the example according to FIG. 1, the lower ribs serve to guide the die band during the embossing of the sound film copy, while the higher ribs serve to simultaneously trim the edge of the film copy. In the second example, the ribs 8 take on both functions.
Embossing is illustrated schematically in FIG. 3, in which 7 denotes the embossing die and 11 denotes the film to be embossed. As shown for example in FIG. 4, the matrix band is sent through between two rollers 12 and 13 together with the band to be embossed, with gauges 14 for guiding the matrix band being provided in front of and behind the rollers.
These teachings have the illustrated in Fig. 5 th cross section; FIG. 5 clearly shows the lateral guidance of the matrix band through the ribs 8.
Since the height of the ribs 8 is equal to the thickness of the band to be embossed or, respectively, greater than this wall thickness, the band to be embossed is trimmed laterally at the same time as the embossing.
