Hettenbanm drive for knitting machines processing elastic threads. The invention relates to a chain boom drive for rubber thread processing warp knitting machines, which consists essentially of a self-locking drive device and a chain tensioning roller which can be engaged and relocated by a clutch, the device being such that the chain tensioning roller which is moved by the chain , depending on the consumption of the chain controls the clutch and thus the self-locking drive device in running or shut down.
In a known chain boom drive of this type, the chain tensioning roller is formed by the crosshair lever shaft over which the chain is guided and against which the shaft is pressed by means of spring force. With normal tension of the chain, the crosshair lever shaft holds the coupling of the self-locking chain boom drive device and thus also the latter itself in the disengaged position.
If the tension of the chain increases due to the consumption of the chain, it then adjusts the crosshair levers. shaft against its spring force, and the crosshair lever shaft now initiates the engagement of the clutch and the self-locking drive device of the chain tree. Each. Starting the An. Drive device for the chain tree therefore requires an increase in the tension of the chain, which is irrelevant for unyielding and unela tical chains, but not for elastic, for example rubber chains.
In the latter case, this inevitably leads to an irregular one. Working in the chain according to what, to an unsightly and possibly. - even leads to unusable goods.
According to the invention, in a chain tree drive for rubber threads ver working warp knitting machines with a self-locking drive device which can be engaged and disengaged by a clutch, depending on.
controlled by the consumption of the chain by a chain tensioning roller moved by the latter in that the clutch is controlled by a weight roller resting loosely in a slack in the rubber chain, which lifts a button when a predetermined lifting position is reached, whereby the on movement of the clutch is accomplished.
The chain tensioning roller of the chain boom drive according to the invention is therefore also moved into the position of use by the consumption of the chain, but without requiring an increase in tension from the chain, not because the chain tensioning roller rests loosely in the slack of the chain. If this roller is called a chain tensioning roller anyway, it is only because it has the task of giving the chain the necessary tension and balancing the tension between the individual threads.
Even the button on which the chain tensioning roller acts when the predetermined lifting position is reached and which then brings about the engagement of the clutch, it does not require any effort to raise the tension of the chain, so that the actuation of the present drive device actually did is completely independent of the tension of the chain.
In itself, it is not new to arrange a chain tensioning roller loosely in a slack in the chain in the case of chain boom drives and to use this as a control means for driving the chain boom. In these known chain boom drives, however, no self-locking drive device is provided for the chain boom, nor is there a clutch through which this drive device is engaged and disengaged. A button is also missing. Rather, the chain tensioning roller itself acts as a drive means for the chain tree, through its weight.
The chain boom simply has the same stopping brake or a ratchet wheel lock, which is rendered ineffective by control means when the tension roller has reached the specific raised position, so that the chain boom is then free of movement and through which it can move Weight moving down roller can be rotated.
When a certain lower position is reached, the chain tensioning roller releases the brake or the ratchet wheel lock again, whereby the chain boom is shut down. This ineffectiveness of the brake or ratchet wheel lock of the chain boom naturally results in a certain advancement of the chain boom, which in the case of elastic chains, results in a sudden splinter, because it inevitably starts almost seamlessly. waste must result.
Conversely, shutting down the chain boom again must result in a temporary increase in the tension of the chain so that this chain boom drive is not suitable for elastic chains either.
In the drawing, an execution example of the subject invention is Darge provides.
Fig. 1 shows the rubber track tree with the loosely resting in the chain slack the chain tensioning roller and the one in it. Away arranged button from the side see ge.
From .der Fig. 2 shows the equipment of the chain boom with the self-locking drive device and the coupling assigned to it, and Fig. 3 shows the control of this coupling rod to a larger extent.
In the chain tree drive shown, the chain tree 2 for the rubber chain 1 sits a self-locking drive device consisting of a worm 16 seated on a shaft 14 and the worm wheel 15 on the chain tree shaft. The shaft 14 is set in motion by the shaft 8, namely by means of the chain 12 and the two chain wheels 11, 13. The device is designed so that the self-locking drive device 15, 16 by a coupling.
long 6, 7 can be engaged and disengaged, from wel chen two coupling parts 6, 7 of part 7 sits loosely on the shaft 8, but secured against axial displacement, while the coupling part 6 is axially displaceable but secured against rotation on the same ben . At the same time, the part 6 has a chain wheel 9 so that it can be set in rotation by means of a chain 10, whereby the shaft 8 is rotated again. A spring 17 holds the two coupling parts 6, 7, which give a pin coupling to see be known, away from each other. The clutch is controlled by a chain tensioning roller, 3, which is moved up and down as a function of the consumption of the chain 1.
The weight of the chain tensioning roller 3 can be varied by suspending weights 4. A button 5 is arranged in the path of the weight roller 3, which is lifted by the former when a predetermined lifting position is reached and thereby engages the clutch 6, 7. As can be seen from FIGS. 1, 3, the button 5 is formed by the rod 5 which is arranged on a pivot shaft 19. A lifting body 18 with a roller 20, which rests on the end face of the hitch part 6, is seated at the same time on this pivot shaft.
When the button 5 is raised by the chain tensioning roller 3, the lifting body 18 or its roller 20 pushes the movable part 6 of the coupling into the closed position.
The clutch which engages and disengages the self-locking drive device can also be of a different shape, which also applies to the latter itself. The button and its mode of action on the coupling could also be of a different shape.
