ä. hinlänglich be kannt.

Dyeing processes for dyeing synthetic fibers under high temperature (HT) conditions are sufficiently well known on corresponding pressure-tight systems, such as HT jet dyeing systems, jiggers, reel skids, tree dyeing machines, or the like. In general, depending on the system, fiber type and dye class, dyeing times of 60 to 180 minutes are required to control the exhaustion of the dyes so that level dyeings are achieved.
Under the thermal conditions of these processes, the affinity of the dyes is greatly increased, so that these long dyeing times have to be used for leveling out.
The present invention relates to a process for dyeing textile wound bodies containing synthetic fibers with water-soluble cationic or anionic dyes by the exhaust method at temperatures of 100 to 120 ° C., in which the wound bodies are heated in a dye container before dyeing and vented and Finally, the entire dye liquor, heated separately in a batch container to approximately the dyeing temperature and placed under a relative excess pressure of 2.9 to 9.8 bar, is brought into contact by transferring the dye liquor from the batch container into the dye container,
whereupon the dyeing treatment is completed by circulating the dye liquor, which is characterized in that the winding bodies are exposed to a hot steam atmosphere at about dyeing temperature immediately before the dye liquor is transferred, and that the dye liquor against the pressure of the air-free hot steam atmosphere simultaneously from inside and outside is introduced into the winding body.
According to the high pressure exhaust process described above, it is possible to achieve particularly level dyeings on synthetic fiber materials with ionic dyes, even with combinations of several dyes that are otherwise difficult to dye and with a significant reduction in dyeing time at the same time.
The principle of the present invention is that a dye liquor with the selected pressure and temperature conditions is placed in an HT container and from there by means of pressure (pressurized steam, compressed air, pump pressure) into another, steam-filled and with the wound bodies made of the synthetic fibers mentioned z. B. wound threads or piece goods winding on dye trees, loaded autoclave is passed over.
This is generally done in such a way that the liquor is simultaneously pressed into the winding body both from the inside and from the outside via appropriately large pipelines, pumps and a distributor valve. In this way it is possible to evenly distribute the liquor in the dyed material in an extremely short time, even in the case of heavily crimped polyacrylonitrile fibers or textured polyamide fibers without deforming the winding and threads. In general, times of less than 60 seconds, usually even less than 30 seconds, are used for this purpose.
This rapid pouring in of the dye liquor is achieved by applying a high pressure on the side of the batch container (pressure difference 3-l0 at). The dye container is vented beforehand by means of hot steam and the goods are preheated at the same time. The textile material can be dry or pre-washed, which can be done in the dye container itself.
The dye container is pressure-tight, well insulated and equipped with a high-capacity heat exchanger to keep the dyeing temperature constant.
The liquor itself is heated in the batch container to temperatures between 100 and 120 C (when dyeing polyacrylic nitrile and polyurethane fibers not higher than 110 ° C), and then pressed into the steam-filled dyeing container. As part of this process, the dye container can be completely filled even with the valve closed, provided the corresponding differential pressure exists, since the previously existing vapor condenses as the pressure increases.
A modification of this method according to the present invention is that the dye container filled with pressurized steam is connected to a lockable condensation system. This also creates a relative pressure difference, which in turn makes it possible to completely fill the dye container with the dye preparation when the vent valve is closed.
After the entire dye liquor is in the dye container, i.e. after the insertion has been completed, the dyebath can be pumped alternately from the inside to the outside and from the outside to the inside through the material roll with the help of a circulation pump. The selected dyeing temperature is maintained. The final fixing of the dye now takes place in a short time. It is advantageous to work with the high Ziehge speeds under these temperature conditions with sufficiently high delivery rates of the pump. At 40-601 / kg. min gives good staining results.
In the case of more difficult dyes or dye combinations to be colored, the delivery rate must exceed 601 / kg. min to be worked.
Due to the fact that the entire dyeing liquor is fed into the dyeing vessel at high speed and into the more or less dry material in the form of bobbins, the process differs from the HT dyeing processes carried out up to now, which, including their process variants, are extensively discussed in the literature have been animalized. Thus, according to the invention, not only part of the dye liquor or a concentrated dye solution is introduced into the dye container, but rather the entire dye liquor is pressed in almost suddenly.
It could not have been foreseen that level dyeings could be achieved under these conditions, since all cationic dyes and also the acid dyes have an extraordinarily high drawability at these temperatures.
In addition, it could not be expected that the dye solutions would still be suitable for penetration into winding bodies at such high temperatures and pressure differences because of the thermal properties of the fibers.
A significant advantage of the process according to the invention is the fact that at the high temperatures used, the drawability of the dyes can be fully utilized.
The good levelness of the dyeings is achieved by the fact that the process according to the invention succeeds in injecting the liquor extremely quickly and thereby bringing the goods into contact with it immediately and at every point and then immediately continuing to dye them with high liquor circulation.
The usual trademarks of canonical dyes and anionic dyes in powder form or in liquid form are used as dyes. Such dyes are described in the Color Index, 3rd edition, under the class name Basic Dyes, Acid Dyes and Reactive Dyes.
All types of fibers of synthetic origin in any processing form which can be dyed with ionic dyes using the HT dyeing method are suitable for carrying out the process according to the invention.
These include, on the one hand, polyamide, polyurethane, base-modified polyester or polyolefin fibers that can be dyed with anionic dyes such as acid, chromium, metal complex and reactive dyes.
On the other hand, these are also polyacrylonitrile or acid-modified polyester or other polymer fibers that can be dyed with cationic (basic) dyes. However, the new process is preferably used for textured fibers made of polyamide, polyacrylic and modified polyester, since such fibers tend to be colored unevenly due to their thermal pretreatment during texturing and because of their high affinity for dyes.
When dyeing polyacrylonitrile fibers and polyamide fibers, apart from leveling agents and chemicals for adjusting the pH, no other additives are required. The constant pH of the dyebath between pH 4.5 and 5.5 enables the colorations to be reproduced and is achieved using known, suitable buffer systems. Both dry and wet material can be treated.
For level dyeing, it is important that the liquor circulation is not interrupted when switching, which, as is generally known, is achieved by a four-way circuit or a flap control.
In FR-PS 1 597 516 a method is described according to which the textile material to be dyed is vented, heated and then flowed through by hot dye liquor. Corresponding to this prior art, the ventilation of the treatment container and the textile material by vacuum is characteristic. This is done with the intention of being able to transfer the hot treatment liquor from the batch tank into the treatment tank as quickly and without resistance as possible. Since one can only generate a partial vacuum in technical systems of the practical size with the help of vacuum pumps, there still remains a residual pressure which offers a certain resistance.
The vacuum also inevitably leads to a strong cooling of the entire system due to the expansion of the air or evaporation of moisture, be it from the material or from adhering liquor. This is also the case if the system (apparatus and textile material) has been preheated (e.g. by steam) before evacuation. There is a considerable temperature gradient between the goods and the dye liquor, which gives rise to severe unevenness in the event of rapid contact.
The crucial difference in the principle of the present invention is that the treatment container is not evacuated, but with superheated steam (about the same temperature as the dyeing process to be carried out below) is filled until the temperature is equalized. The treatment tank always contains a steam atmosphere. During the rapid transfer of the dye liquor, which is also under high pressure, from the preparation tank to the treatment tank, the steam is completely condensed there by the differential pressure applied, whereby the heat of condensation is even released. A temperature reduction does not take place, which could interfere as described above.
In addition to the pre-steaming of the material for heating the winding body to the dyeing temperature, the simultaneous injection of the preheated liquor from the inside and the outside into the dyed material has also proven to be essential in the process according to the invention, firstly for the evenness of the dyeing others for the protection of the material block. This is the only way to achieve isothermal high-speed dyeing on bobbins made of synthetic fibers with even color loss.
In contrast to this, in the known process, the flow direction of the flowing liquor in the block of goods is only given from the inside to the outside by the applied vacuum and takes place on one side according to the circumstances in the density of the winding differently with simultaneous likewise different cooling and likewise depletion of the liquor in dye . The result is an unevenness of the color that can no longer be eliminated, especially with light shades. Experience has shown that very light shades cannot be dyed perfectly using the vacuum method. Another demonstrable disadvantage of vacuum technology is the uncontrollable deformation of the winding body and the stress, above all, of textured color goods that are sensitive to cooking.
These disadvantages outlined above are avoided within the scope of the method according to the invention. By pre-steaming the material, the fabric is not only vented, but above all heated to the dyeing temperature. The latter also applies to the equipment. This eliminates the temperature differences that occur when heated dye liquids are poured in using vacuum technology, which, above all in the areas above 100 C, have a very rapid effect in large differences in affinity. In the process according to the invention, the dye liquor encounters the same temperature conditions everywhere and does not itself cool locally.
With the new process, the coincidences in the flow of the vacuum method are deliberately counteracted by the dyebath being pressed in simultaneously from the inside and outside, plus the fact that the circulating pump is also in the process of the liquid being pressed into the dyestuff Gear is set. The color material is therefore only exposed to the flow pressure difference, but not additionally to the high pressure differences between the batch container and the vacuum. The pressure in the dyeing vessel is determined solely by the temperature of the liquor.
The pressure difference is only given by the amount of excess pressure on the batch vessel over the vapor pressure given by the liquor temperature. Since this pressure difference acts both from the inside to the outside and vice versa on the dyed material, there is no need to fear deformation of the roll of material. Example 1 Windings made from polyacrylonitrile fibers are placed in a dye container suitable for high-temperature dyeing. This container is then vented by saturated steam of 1.2 kp / cm 'and the goods are preheated.
At the same time, the entire amount of aqueous liquor required for dyeing is prepared in a pressure-tight batch container, which is 10 times the weight of the goods and - based on the weight of the dry goods, 0.5% of the cationic dye of the formula
EMI0002.0049
2% sodium acetate, 2.5% of a cationic retarder based on coconut oil-alkyl-dimethyl-benzyl-ammonium chloride and 1 cm '/ l acetic acid (60%). A compressed air pressure of 5.5 kp / cm 'is set above the liquor level.
The pressurized liquor batch is now heated to <B> 105'C </B>. By opening a shut-off valve in a suitable distributor line, the heated liquor is allowed to enter the dyeing container within 7-10 seconds. In this case, the dye preparation should flow into the winding body from both the inside and the outside. A mixing temperature of 102 ° C. is then established after the liquor circulation has started. With alternating liquor circulation, the bath temperature is now increased to 105 ° C. and the goods are dyed at this temperature for 30 minutes. The colored material is then rinsed with hot and cold water in the usual way and dried. A uniform red color is obtained.
If, in the above example, the product Basic Blue 3 (C.1. No. 51004) is used instead of the cationic dye mentioned, a uniform blue color is obtained.
Example 2 Windings made from polyacrylonitrile fibers are placed in a dye container which is suitable for high-temperature dyeing. After the container is closed, the goods are preheated with saturated steam at 105 ° C. and then treated for 10 minutes at 90 ° C. with an aqueous liquor which - based on the weight of the dry goods - contains 2.4% of a cationic retarder based on coconut fatty alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride, 2% sodium acetate and 1 cm '/! Contains acetic acid (60%).
This liquor is then pressed into the batch container using compressed air and treated with 0.9% of the cationic dye Basic Red 9 (C.1. No. 42520) and optionally with acetic acid to correct the pH (based on the weight of the dry goods) - Value shifted to 5. A pressure of 6 kp / cm 'is generated over the batch liquor with compressed air and the liquor prepared in this way is heated to 105.degree.
The further treatment to dye the goods is then carried out as described in Example 1, but with a dyeing time of 20 minutes at 105 C.
A uniform red color is obtained. EXAMPLE 3 Yarn packages made of polyacrylonitrile fibers and rayon in a mixing ratio of 60:40 are treated and dyed according to the instructions in Example 1.
A uniform red coloration of the polyacrylonitrile component of the goods is obtained.
The color of the cellulose fiber portion can be made using suitable dyes, such as. B. direct, reactive, leuko küpenester dyes and others, if necessary, be carried out in one or two baths.
Example 4 Spools of polyacrylitrile fibers and wool in a mixing ratio of 55:45 are dyed according to the instructions in Example 1 with an aqueous liquor which - based on the weight of the dry goods - contains 1.5% of the cationic dye the formula
EMI0003.0039
Contains 20% sodium acetate and 1 cm / l acetic acid (60%).
A uniform Bordo coloration of the polyacrylonitrile component of the goods is obtained.
The coloring of the wool fiber portion can be made using suitable dyes, such as. B. acid, metal complex and reactive dyes, optionally single or two baths.
Example 5 Windings made from acid-modified, textured polyester threads are placed in a dye container suitable for high-temperature dyeing. This container is then vented with saturated steam of 1.25 kp / cm 'and the goods are preheated.
At the same time, the entire amount of aqueous liquor required for dyeing is prepared in a pressure-tight batch container, which is 10 times the weight of the goods and (based on the weight of the dry goods) 0.2% of the cationic dye Basic Green 4 (C.1.- No. . 4200), 1 g / 1 of a nonionic dispersant based on the reaction product of 1 mol of stearyl alcohol with 25 mol of ethylene oxide,
containing 25% polyethylene glycol by molar weight. approx. 6000, 3 g / 1 sodium sulfate crystalline, 2% sodium acetate and 2% acetic acid (60%) contains. The further treatment of the goods takes place according to Example 1; However, the dye liquid is shot at 110 C and the goods are dyed at this temperature for 30 minutes.
The aftertreatment of the dyeing is first carried out by hot intermediate rinsing with water at 90 ° C. and then with an aqueous liquor containing 3 g / 1 anhydrous sodium carbonate, 3 g / 1 sodium dithionite and 3 g / 1 sodium sulfate.
contains, for 10 minutes at 85'C. Finally, the goods are rinsed again with hot and cold water and dried.
A uniform green color is obtained. Example 6 Knitted goods made from polyacrylonitrile fibers are wound up on a dyeing tree and placed in a dyeing container according to Example 1 and treated as described there.
A uniform red color is obtained. EXAMPLE 7 Windings made of crimped nylon are placed in a dye container which is suitable for high-temperature dyeing. This container is then vented by saturated steam of 1.5 kp / cm 'and the goods are preheated.
At the same time, the entire amount of aqueous liquor required for dyeing is prepared in a pressure-tight batch container in a ratio of 1:10 to the weight of the goods, which - based on the weight of the dry goods - is 0.6% of the anionic dye Acid Blue 41 (C.1. 62130), 2.5% of the reaction product of 1 mol of cyanuric chloride with 3 mol of metanilic acid, <B> <I> 0,
5% </I> </B> a mixture of <I> 75 </I> r'c of the reaction product of 1 mole of stearylamine with 10 moles of ethylene oxide and 25% dodecylsulfonic acid and 0.8% acetic acid (60%) . A compressed air pressure of 5.5 kp / cm 'is set above the liquor level in the batch container.
The pressurized liquor batch is then heated to 115.degree. As in Example 1, the liquor is then pressed out of the batch container into the dyeing container, a mixing temperature of 110 ° C. being set at the beginning of the liquor circulation. The bath temperature is now increased again to 115 ° C. and the procedure then continues as indicated in Example 1, but for a dyeing time of only 15 minutes.
The result is a level blue color on the polyamide rolls.
