Synchronizing device on dog clutches, in particular for gear change transmissions of motor vehicles. The invention relates to a synchronizing device on claw clutches, in particular for gear change transmissions of motor vehicles, in which the displaceable shift sleeve is provided as the one coupling part with a friction body that comes into frictional engagement with the other coupling part before the engagement of the claws and with means provided that prevent the claw rims from engaging for so long
until there is synchronization between the coupling parts.
It has become a synchronizer be known in which to initially prevent the clutch claw rims from meeting each other until synchronization is achieved to transmit the rotary movement of the shift sleeve to the Reibkör by axially parallel plungers used, which are stored in the shift sleeve in such a way that they are under Shift the effect of axial forces longitudinally in their bearings, but get stuck in them when they are exposed to torques acting across the axis.
This device preventing the claws from engaging by frictional engagement has major disadvantages. The tappets, as well as the shift sleeve and the friction bodies, must be particularly strong, taking into account the unfavorable loads that occur, and the length of the clutch is great as a result of the required long guidance of the tappets.
Furthermore, the known synchronizing device is unfavorable insofar as the tappets are not always able to lock perfectly and evenly due to unavoidable execution inaccuracies and changing lubrication conditions.
Compared to the known device mentioned, the device according to the invention produces a locking effect between the shift sleeve and the friction body, which, as has been found in operational use, is better suited in various respects.
It is achieved thereby. that for locking the movable claw part of the shift sleeve at least approximately radially movable locking bodies are provided, which are forced to rest against circumferential recesses by torque action until they allow the displacement of this claw part with synchronism by entering axially extending recesses .
The locking bodies can be characterized by their particular simplicity and make the construction of the entire coupling simple and space-saving. A substantial shortening in the axial direction is very welcome in transmissions in which there are several groups of wheels with a corresponding multiple arrangement of synchronizers one behind the other. In addition to a savings in transmission length, these locking bodies also allow a reduction in construction height, insofar as the diameter of the coupling sleeve and the friction body can be limited to the min least and thus the distance between the main shaft train and the countershaft can be made small.
With regard to the arrangement of the radially movable locking body as well as the arrangement and design of the recesses required for the same, various designs in adaptation to different types of coupling are possible, please include as the drawing shows.
Fig. 1 shows a first embodiment of the synchronizer on a Ge gear claw clutch in longitudinal section.
FIG. 2 shows some parts of the coupling seen from above in the direction of arrow 0 in FIG.
Fig. 3 shows a partial cross section along line III-III of Fig. 1, the locking body shown appears at rest.
Fig. 4 shows the same section as FIG. 3, but it appears the Sperrkör by in the locked position. Fig. 5 shows another embodiment of the device in longitudinal section.
Fig. 6 shows a device similar to that of FIG. 1 in longitudinal section, it represents a development.
FIG. 7 shows individual parts of the device according to FIG. 6 seen from above.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 4, it is assumed, for example, that a shaft 6 is to be coupled to a gear 2 fixed on a driving shaft. The gear 2 has a claw ring 3 and a conical friction surface 5 on a projection 4. On the shaft 6, the inner switching sleeve part 10 is axially displaceably guided by means of wedges 7 and interposed grooves and in this rests loosely coaxially guided a friction part 11 with a conical Friction surface 12 which faces the friction surface 5 of the wheel 2.
The inner sleeve part 10 has the claw ring 13 on the outside, which corresponds to the claw ring 3 in its dimensioning, and the outer sleeve part 15 is axially displaceable on the claw ring 13, which is true for the purpose of the final coupling of the gear parts with its claws 16 on the Claw rim 3 of the wheel 2 pushed to whoever. The claws of the ring 3 and the claws 16 of the socket part 15 are advantageously rounded off at their mutually facing ends, roughly as shown in FIG. The outer socket part 15 is usually secured against arbitrary axial displacement, for example with the aid of an expansion ring 18 which is inserted into an annular groove 19 of the socket part 10.
The expansion ring 18 springs into a groove 20 of the outer sleeve part 15 and has inclined surfaces 21 on the side.
The friction part 11 expediently has several axially directed notches with contact surfaces 22 arranged symmetrically to one another and in these notches blocking bodies 23 (e.g. balls), which are otherwise in openings 24 of the inner socket part 10 are held exactly or at approximately radially movable.
In the area of the aforementioned locking body, individual teeth of the outer shift sleeve part 15 have recesses 25 running in the circumferential direction, which are bordered in the axial direction by opposing contact surfaces 36. Instead of individual recesses, a continuous circumferential groove can also be screwed into the outer sleeve part 15, which likewise has announcement surfaces.
The outer sleeve part 15 receives the switching lever 31 in an annular groove 30.
If the shaft 6 is to be coupled to the driving part, that is to say to the wheel 2, the device works as follows: If the shift lever 31 is moved in the direction of arrow a, both shift sleeve parts 10, 15 are initially shifted along with the friction surface 12 of the part 11 to the friction surface 5 to the plant, so that the friction part 11 and through the intermediary of the locking body 23 both shift sleeve parts 10, 15 are set in rotation.
At the same time, the absorbed torque acts with the mediation of a contact surface 22 of the friction part 11 forcibly the radial movement of the locking body 23 outward into the recesses 25 of the outer sleeve part 15, on which they lock the outer sleeve part against axial displacement by contact As a result, even with strong switching pressure on the lever 31, the outer sleeve part 15 cannot be moved as long as there is still a speed difference between the wheel 2 and the friction part 11.
If approximate or complete synchronism is now achieved between the parts mentioned, the radial pressure with which the locking bodies 23 were previously pressed into the outer sleeve part 15 is no longer applicable, and this sleeve part can then be pushed backwards - the locking body into the axial notches of the friction part 11 be pushed further in the direction of the arrow a, so that the sleeve part 15 comes into engagement with its claws 16 with the claw rim 3 of the wheel 2. In Fig. 1, the final engagement position of the outer sleeve part is indicated by dash-dotted lines.
The other, that is to say normal, locking of the two sleeve parts 10 and 15 to one another takes place, as mentioned, with the aid of the expanding ring 18. If the outer sleeve part 15 is to be displaced independently, it can. this success gene after one inclined surface 21 of the groove 20 of the expanding ring 18 is urged inwardly ge.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 5, the various items are arranged somewhat differently. Here there is only one switching sleeve part 35 provided with a claw ring 34, which is axially displaceable on the drive shaft 6 with means of wedges and grooves. In this part of the conical friction surface 12 carrying the friction part 36 and is secured at one point by means of an expanding ring 37 in its rest position. The expansion ring 37 has inclined surfaces 38 opposite which corresponding inclined surfaces are formed in the socket part 35, namely in a groove located in the socket part 35.
The hub 40 of the sleeve part 35 has several openings 41 in the circumference, in which the locking body 42 is radially movable ge leads. For this locking body are on the one hand in the drive shaft 6 in the circumferential direction. Recesses 43 provided, which are limited by contact surfaces 45, while rend in the friction part 36 for temporarily receiving the locking body 42 axially directed notches with contact surfaces 44 exist, in a matching manner as the contact surfaces 22 in the first embodiment described.
The effect of the device according to FIG. 5 is as follows: If the sleeve part 35 is moved in the direction of the arrow a, the friction part 36 with its conical surface 12 reaches the counter-conical surface 5 of the wheel 2. The torque absorbed immediately blocks the preliminary axial further movement of the sleeve part 35 by means of one of the contact surfaces 44 of the friction part 36, namely in that the blocking bodies 42 are forced into the recesses 43 of the shaft 6.
The lock continues until the gear parts are synchronized. Immediately thereafter, as the switching movement progresses, one inclined surface 45 of the recesses 43 moves the locking body 42 out of the recesses 43, and after overcoming the spring action of the expanding ring 37, the nephew part 35 can unhindered its final Einrückbe movement into the position indicated by dash-dotted lines in which the claw rim 34 is in engagement with the claw rim 3 of the wheel.
In the embodiment shown in Fig. 6 and 7 there is again the task of coupling a drive shaft 52 with a gear 51 seated on a driving shaft 50. For this reason, a claw ring 53 is combined with the gear 51 and an inner shift sleeve part 54 with wedges and grooves is guided axially displaceably on this shaft. The outer sleeve part 55 sits by means of the claws 56 on the inner sleeve part 54. The shift fork 57 engages in an annular groove in the sleeve part 55. The claws 56 of the sleeve part 55 agree in their dimensions with the claws of the ring 53 of the wheel 51, so that after corresponding to the axial displacement of the sleeve part 55, the engagement with the dog ring 53 can follow.
The claws are advantageously rounded off at their ends facing each other.
The rest position of the sleeve parts 54 and 55 to each other is secured by an expansion ring 58, which is seen ver with inclined surfaces 58a and fits into a groove in the sleeve part 55 turned. In the inner sleeve part 54, a friction part 59 is loosely held koachsial th, which has a conical friction surface 60 and is provided on its circumference with some axially directed notches. the symmetrical to each other to contact surfaces 61 are limited.
Blocking bodies 62 (balls) can be placed on the contact surfaces 61, which are guided so that they can move radially in openings 63 in the socket part 54, and at the locations of the openings 63 the outer socket part 55 has recesses 65 which run in the circumferential direction are limited in the axial direction by contact surfaces 66. Instead of these recesses, a continuous circumferential groove part 55 can be incorporated in the outer sleeves.
Compared to the friction surface 60 of the friction part 59, a projection 67 is provided on the wheel 51, which carries the counter cone friction surface 68. The projection here forms a special body which can rotate with respect to the wheel 51 and is only secured against axial displacement with the aid of an expanding ring 69.
Between the wheel 51 and the shaft 52, a disk pack is inserted, which consists on the one hand of the inner disks 71 guided on the shaft 52 and on the other hand of the outer disks 73 guided in the wheel 51. This lamellar package receives its axial limitation in the wheel 51 by an expanding ring 74. The outer lamella 75, which is directed towards the projection 67, has a ring of teeth 76 which are bordered on both sides by inclined surfaces 77. Opposite these inclined surfaces 77 are inclined surfaces 78 of teeth 79 which are stuck on the projection 67.
The operation of the device according to FIGS. 6 and 7 is as follows: When the shift fork 57 is moved in the direction of the arrow a, both shift sleeve parts 54, 55 start rotating as soon as the friction part 59 respectively. whose friction surface 60 comes to rest on the friction surface 68 of the projection 67. As the torque arises, the locking bodies 62 are immediately moved into the recesses 65 of the outer sleeve part 55 with the aid of one of the contact surfaces 61 and this sleeve part is thus blocked against axial displacement.
The torque also occurs on the inclined surfaces 78 and 77 of the projection 67 and the outer plate 75 of the disk pack and be a coupling of the multi-plate clutch for the purpose of faster alignment of the speeds of the gear parts than only with the friction surfaces.
This clutch therefore acts as a synchronizing clutch. As soon as nearly or completely synchronism has occurred between the gear parts, the locking bodies 62 are pushed back into the notches of the friction part 59 and the outer sleeve part is pushed back under the constant switching pressure in the direction of arrow a with the aid of the one contact surface 66 of the recesses 65 in the outer sleeve part 55 55 can be shifted further by overcoming the spring force of the expanding ring 58 to finally get into engagement with its claws 56 in the claw ring 53 of the wheel 51, whereby the final coupling is completed.
The limit switch position of the outer sleeve part 55 is indicated in FIG. 6 in dot-dash lines.
