Feuerzeug.
Lighter. There are already lighters with an arranged therein, consisting of a single mass multiple ignition rods have been known ge, these ignition rods, which can be used for repeated ignitions, can basically be divided into two groups.
1. Ignition rods that have such a high content of spark-ignitable substances that ignition is achieved by simply rubbing the rod, which forms a solid fuel, on suitable friction surfaces.
2. Ignition rods respectively. Ignition masses that are only spark-ignitable when they are in powder form. In this case, the ignition compound pressed into a stick must be pulverized by a suitable friction device before ignition.
The ignition rods with a high content of spark-ignitable substances have the disadvantage that the flame is difficult to extinguish.
The ignition rods, whose mass is only spark-ignitable in powder form, result in great mechanical difficulties. Lighters with such igniters often fail after a short period of use.
These disadvantages are in the lighter according to the present invention thereby be. emphasized that it has a multiple ignition rod that has a flammable envelope filled with combustible and spark-ignitable material, as well as that it has a feed device for this ignition rod and an ignition device.
On the drawing, Ausführungsbei are games of the subject invention provides Darge.
Fig. 1 to 3 show views of three different embodiments of the fire tool, and Fig. 4 and 5 show two mutually perpendicular sections of a further embodiment form of the lighter.
All of the lighters shown have a known ignition device and a multiple ignition stick that has a flammable shell that is filled with combustible and spark-ignitable material.
To produce these masses, known flammable and spark-ignitable substances are applied in suitable mixing ratios to rayon, cellulose or similar fabrics by first spraying these fabrics with solutions of collodion or acetyl cellulose and then mixing them with the moistened ignition mixture.
The mass obtained in this way is pre-dried, then torn into fibers by means of devices and then filled into suitable, round or angular, flammable covers made of textile fabrics, paper pulps, chemical substances or chemically prepared substances. The flexible ignition sticks obtained in this way are further dried and are then ready for use.
An example embodiment of such a flexible ignition rod would be as follows: 100 g of rayon are divided into about 2 mm wide longitudinal strips and then sprayed with 5 cm 'collodion solution using a compressed air atomizer, whereupon the tissue with 900 g of the prepared, moistened, combustible Substance is mixed through.
The combustible substance consists, for example, of: 80% Metaldehyde 5% red phosphorus 5% camphor 10% sodium chlorate The mixture obtained in this way is torn on a calender and the fibrous mass obtained is filled into the already described shells .
The example of a lighter according to FIG. 1 has a manually actuatable advance device for the multiple ignition rod 4. Here, the axis of a toothed wheel 1, which partially protrudes from the housing of the lighter, is mounted on a spring 3 in such a way that the wheel 1 can be moved into the housing against the action of the spring 3, so that it is pressed against the ignition rod 4 can. By pushing the wheel 1 into the housing and rotating it at the same time, the ignition rod 4 can be advanced by hand.
On the lid 2 of the lighter, an extinguishing sleeve 10 is formed, which is provided on the inside with a brush-shaped metal wire bundle 9, which is used to scrape off any ash residues on the multiple ignition rod 4.
In the example according to FIG. 2, the advancing device can be actuated by a known opening and closing mechanism. With the multiple ignition rod 4, a toothed wheel 5 cooperates, with which a gear is coupled, against which a rack 6 is pressed by a spring 7 is. With the toothed wheel 5, a locking spring 8 cooperates, which prevents the wheel 5 from turning back.
The toothed rod 6 is moved back and forth by the opening and closing mechanism of the lighter and rotates the wheel 5 by one or more teeth, whereby the ignition rod 4 is pushed forward by a small amount.
In the example according to FIG. 3, the feed device according to FIG. 1 is combined with that according to FIG. 2, so that the ignition rod 4 is pushed forward by the opening and closing mechanism and can also be pushed forward by hand.
4 and 5 show a Ausfüh approximately form of the lighter, in which a multiple ignition rod b is arranged in a friction pin sleeve a.
At the front edge of the friction pin sleeve a, metal threads c are arranged in a radial shape, which serve to tear apart the ignition material and any., Each time the ignition rod b is advanced by means of a known feed device f, which is arranged on the sleeve a Remove ash residue to make ignition easier.
The reaming pin sleeve a is arranged in a housing d so that it can be pulled out by hand and which has a cerium iron e arranged in a groove in the bottom of a cere iron e which can be coated with the friction sleeve a from the outside. By rubbing against this iron, the ignition rod b can be ignited after pulling the friction pin sleeve out of the housing.
On the inside of the bottom h of the housing d, a brush-shaped metal wire bundle g is arranged, which serves to scrape off the ash residues adhering to the multiple ignition rod b when the multiple ignition rod b hits this bundle g when inserted into the housing d. This metal wire bundle g has the same purpose as the metal threads c, and either only the metal threads e or only the metal wire bundle g need to be vorzesehen on a lighter.
