Description

Mine destroyer, especially for destroying mines and magnetic mines in the water. The known defense devices against magnetic mines and other mines in the water have failed until today, except for the mine-searching ships.

The present invention is a mine destroyer, in particular for destroying mines and magnetic mines in the water.

In the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment from the subject of the invention is shown, namely in Figure 1 from above; Fig. 2 shows the mine destroyer attached to a seaplane.

The mine destroyer 1 has a structure of steel strips riveted together which in their entirety form a fan. At the rear outer edge of the same are comb-like, at intervals of 80 cm, arranged wire ropes, to each of which an elongated Ge weight 3 is attached. If the mine destroyer is pulled through the water by means of a seaplane, for example, it swims on the surface of the water even when there are waves.

Tests have shown that a. Motor boat at a speed of 60 km / h, with an attached mine destroyer of the type shown weighing 104 kg, with 7 m long combs 2 and 3 hanging in the water, only 17 km from the maximum speed.

When using the mine destroyer in waters where mines are suspected, the same is pulled by a seaplane 6 on long wire ropes 4 and 5 through the water. The common mines are destroyed by the impact of the ridge 4 and 5 hanging in the water. The magnetic mines can be caused to explode by magnetic means as a result of the steel strips.

PATENT CLAIM: Mine destroyer, in particular for destroying mines and magnetic mines in the water, characterized by a structure 5 made of riveted steel strips, on the rear part of which wire ropes provided with attached weights are arranged in a comb-like manner, the whole in such a way that the mine destroyer through a means of transport floating through the water can be pulled.
