Description

  

  Procédé pour la protection de la couture dans un assemblage cousu.    On connaît un procédé pour la     protection     des     coutures    de     pièces    assemblées, en cuir  par exemple, qui consiste à tracer à froid,  sur la face libre des pièces à assembler et à  l'endroit où la couture doit se faire, une  rainure au moyen d'un instrument     tran-          chant.     



  Quant la partie de l'assemblage à traiter  de cette façon est mince ou     constituée    par  un matériau de contexture particulière,  comme, par exemple, par du tissu ou du cuir  mou très mince ou .gaufré, ce procédé ne  donne pas satisfaction parce qu'il risque d'en  dommager le matériau, ou     parce    qu'il -est  tout simplement inapplicable.  



  La présente invention a pour objet un  procédé pour la protection de la couture dans  un assemblage cousu, procédé qui s'est révélé  particulièrement efficace dans la confection  de petits objets en cuir de fantaisie ou en  tissu, par exemple, comme les,     bracelets    des  tinés à la fixation des montres sur le poignet.  



  Le procédé selon l'invention, pour la pro  tection de la couture dans un     assemblage       cousu de     pièces.    en matériau mince, mou ou ,  délicat, est caractérisé par le fait qu'on ap  plique, à     l'une    au moins des     faces    libres des       pièces    à assembler, à l'endroit où la couture  doit se faire, l'empreinte d'une matrice  chaude.  



  L'empreinte à chaud, au moyen d'un fer  profilé par exemple, peut se faire sans adju  vant spécial, ou, quand i1 s'agit de tissu  par exemple, en humectant préalablement ce  dernier à l'endroit de 1a couture.
