Bottle with closure for liquids. The invention described below relates to a bottle made of transparent and elastic material for holding liquids, for example cosmetic and pharmaceutical liquids, with a closure which allows the contents of the bottle to be closed by squeezing the bottle walls in a jet or dropwise remove.
The drawing illustrates example, embodiments of the subject invention. 1 shows a bottle in a side view and FIG. 2 shows a section along the line -.- B in FIG. 1. FIGS. 3 to 8 show closures in various embodiments.
The bottle according to FIGS. 1 and 2 be made of synthetic resin or similar material, which is so elastic that the since union walls can be pressed by hand and snap back into their original position after letting go. The bottle is made of a transparent fabric so that the contents can be seen easily.
Because it is difficult to make bottles for liquids with the aforementioned properties from one piece, two halves 1 and 2 (Fig. 2) are formed for themselves, one half inserted into the other and both by heating or by means of a suitable adhesive inextricably linked together so that they form a whole, on which no connecting joint can be recognized from the outside.
Both bottle halves are each provided at their upper end with a channel-like extension 3 (FIGS. 3 to 8) which is semicircular in cross-section and which, when joined together, form the neck of the bottle. Both halves of this neck are firmly connected to one another by an externally threaded sleeve 4 (FIGS. 3 to 8). A cap 5 provided with an internal thread is screwed over the sleeve in a known manner.
Inside this cap there is a closure body 7 made of elastic material, for example made of rubber or the like (FIGS. 3 to 6). This closure body is interspersed with an inclined channel 6 in such a way that its upper mouth lies above the upper end of the sleeve 4 (FIGS. 3 to 6). On its circumference, the closure body 7 lies with its upper part close to the upper part of the threaded cap 5, which has no thread at this point, in order to enable a tight closure.
At its lower end, the closure body 7 projects into the neck of the bottle in such a way that a tight seal is brought about here as well. If the cap 5 is screwed tightly (Fig. 3 and 5), then the head wall of the cap 5 lies tightly on the top of the closure body 7 and presses its upper part together so far that the channel 6 closes at its upper end.
If the closure cap 5 is unscrewed so far that its top plate lifts off the top of the closure body 7 and an empty space 8 is created (FIGS. 4 and 6), then the channel 6 opens. The bottle with the closure cap then opens held downwards so that liquid can escape when pressure is exerted on the side walls of the bottle, then part of the bottle contents flows through the channel 6, the space 8 and the opening 9 to the outside.
Depending on whether the pressure on the side walls of the bottle is short and strong or slow and weak, the liquid emerges in a jet or in drops.
The lower part of the closure body 7 can either be full (Fig. 5 and 6) or to make it more flexible against any unevenness of the bottle neck with. a recess 10 (Fig. 3 and 4) be provided. If the recess 10 is provided, the wall of the recess is pressed against the walls of the bottle neck 3 by the internal pressure of the liquid when the bottle walls are compressed, and the seal between the last rem and the outer wall of the recess 10 is promoted.
7 and 8 show a further embodiment of the closure. In this case, the bottle neck has a constriction 11 and the closure body 12 has. a vertical channel 13 is provided. If the cap 5 is screwed on tightly, the closure body 12 enters the narrowing of the bottle neck with its lower end part (FIG. 7), the channel 13 closing at its lower end.
If the cap 5 is unscrewed so far that the closure body emerges from the constriction 11 of the bottle neck at the bottom (FIG. 8), then opens. the channel 13, whereby a connection of the inside of the bottle with the outside air is established.
