Zeichenapparat.
Drawing machine. It is known how the previously known and used for vertical and horizontal drawing boards drawing apparatus with Ge parallelograms according to one of the following two types of weight compensation are built equal: a) with adjustable or non-adjustable tension spring, b) with counterweight.
In the first case, the spring tension must be changed when tilting the board. in order to avoid tearing away the sign rails from the same by reducing the weight component. In the second case, when the board is tilted, the effect of the counterweight is reduced, since it no longer acts on the operating lever of the character rails, according to its location. there is a tendency to lift this off the drawing board. From this it follows that every time the draftsman wants to change his working position, he must first adjust the drawing apparatus with a considerable loss of time.
The counterweight design also has the inconvenience of a significant obstruction of space.
The present invention relates to a drawing apparatus with two articulated parallelograms and two drawing rails. It is characterized by a lever and counterweight system that is designed to automatically balance the weight, regardless of the inclination of the character on which the device is working.
The new drawing apparatus which meets these requirements is shown schematically in the accompanying drawing in an exemplary embodiment, built on the drawing board.
Fig. 1 is a front view and Fig. 2 is a side view. 3 and 4 show the drawing apparatus in two different positions seen from the back of the drawing board.
The apparatus has two joint parallelograms, the lower parallelogram has the bars a, the upper one the bars b. The upper parallelogram is rotatably suspended in lt. on a support member c 'which is attached to the drawing table. The lower parallelogram, on the other hand, carries the character rails e.
The apparatus also has a rod m functioning as a lever with a support point c on a handlebar that can be rotated around the pin 7 on one of the shorter sides of the upper parallelogram. One end of the rod m is articulated to one of the rods of the un tern parallelogram and the other end is articulated to a rod n, which in turn is verbun with the counterweight p.
This counterweight is slidable along the steering rod d, which is rotatable at one of its ends in the fixed point q, which is arranged on the rear side of the drawing board. As a result, the counterweight p can slide along the rod d , which can swing around the bolt q, so that it assumes a position which compensates for each position of the guide rails e the effects of the weights of the drawing rails and the parallelogram linkage influenced by the inclination of the drawing board.
The counterweight p is not operated by hand, but moves automatically by the action of the articulated rods of the apparatus, every time the draftsman moves the drawing rails e of the instrument.
Since the connections of the rods are mediated by joints with the lowest friction, so if the counterweight i), by which the rod d is supported, is strong and strong enough, every bending of the rods in any position of the counterweight and at every inclination of the Avoid drawing boards.
Furthermore, the weight component of the weight p acting on the rod n is less than and equal to zero when the drawing board is inclined to a low level if the board is completely horizontal.
In this way, the movement of the sign rails is always easy and balanced.
