Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent Nr. 195149. Nit Auf ladung arbeitende Brennkraftmasehine.

<tb> bezw. <SEP> einer <SEP> bestimmten <SEP> untern <SEP> Grenze <SEP> des
<tb> Barometerdruckes.

<SEP> Bei <SEP> direkt
<tb> beim <SEP> höelrst <SEP> vorkommenden <SEP> Barometerdruck
<tb> gelangt.
<tb> Die <SEP> Federdose <SEP> 11 <SEP> verstellt <SEP> den <SEP> Steuerkol ben <SEP> 12 <SEP> in <SEP> Abhängigkeit <SEP> vom <SEP> Aufladedruck.
<tb> In <SEP> der <SEP> gezeichneten <SEP> Stellung <SEP> gibt <SEP> der <SEP> Schie ber <SEP> 12 <SEP> die <SEP> Druckmittelzufuhr <SEP> zur <SEP> linken <SEP> Seite
<tb> des <SEP> Servomotorzylinders <SEP> 13 <SEP> frei,
<SEP> so <SEP> dass <SEP> der
<tb> Kolben <SEP> 14 <SEP> sich <SEP> in <SEP> der <SEP> rechten <SEP> Endlage <SEP> be findet <SEP> und <SEP> das <SEP> Auslassorgan <SEP> 15 <SEP> in <SEP> der <SEP> Ab ga:s@leitung <SEP> 5 <SEP> geschlossen <SEP> hält. <SEP> Bei <SEP> steigendem
Additional patent to the main patent no. 195149. Internal combustion engine that works without charging. The invention relates to an improvement of the internal combustion engine protected in the main patent, working with call charge, wel- before work at different altitudes., Must and has a control device that can automatically keep the charging pressure constant from a certain adjustable value.
In portable internal combustion engines with call charge, which work in areas with strong height differences, it is relatively difficult to design the supercharger so that it can be used both at high altitude above sea level, i.e. at low barometric pressure. even at low altitude, i.e. at high barometric pressure, works economically.
For the internal combustion engine, it would be best if the pressure of the call charge had the same absolute value at all altitudes above sea level and the supercharging air reached the same temperature. This would mean that the compression ratio changes very sharply when the vehicle drives in areas with large differences in altitude.
This could only be achieved in an imperfect way with a single supercharger with a constant number of stages. Big changes in the compression ratio will only be possible in an economic way if the number of density levels increases with increasing height above sea level.
Even if several compressors are switched one behind the other in an internal combustion engine and work independently of one another, see above the number of compressor stages remains the same and the purpose of using the internal combustion engine as well as possible at all sea levels is not achieved.
If these compressors work at high barometric pressure, the compression ratio must be reduced artificially, that is, air must be released. Such compressors work uneconomically.
The invention avoids this disadvantage and consists in the fact that the supercharging air in at least one compressor of the control device that keeps the supercharging air constant

<tb> In <SEP> the <SEP> marked <SEP> position <SEP>, <SEP> the <SEP> slide over <SEP> 12 <SEP> gives the <SEP> pressure medium supply <SEP> to the <SEP> left < SEP> page
<tb> of the <SEP> servo motor cylinder <SEP> 13 <SEP> free,
<SEP> so <SEP> that <SEP> the
<tb> Piston <SEP> 14 <SEP> is <SEP> in <SEP> the <SEP> right <SEP> end position <SEP> <SEP> and <SEP> the <SEP> outlet element <SEP> 15 < SEP> in <SEP> the <SEP> output ga: s @ line <SEP> 5 <SEP> closed <SEP> holds. <SEP> With <SEP> increasing
<tb> Supercharging pressure <SEP>, <SEP> the <SEP> slider <SEP> 12 <SEP> is pushed to the right and reaches its central position after the sliding path a has been closed. If the pressure increases:
then further on, the pressure medium supply to the right-hand side of the cylinder 13 is opened and the piston 14 is pushed to the left, which now more opens the outlet element 15 and closes the exhaust line against the turbine 6. As a result, the exhaust gases exit through the secondary outlet 16. The charging pressure drops until the slide 12 has reached the central position in which both the left and the right side are closed off from the supply of pressure medium.
In this position, the piston 14 and the outlet member 15 assume a position that corresponds to the compression ratio that is necessary to achieve the boost pressure value that is to be kept constant at the given pressure of the ambient air. The total compression ratio is distributed to both compressors in different ways. From a certain pressure of the ambient air on, the exhaust gas supply to the turbine 6 is completely blocked by means of the outlet element 15 in position II, so that the compressor 3 is put out of operation.
The compressor 2 is in operation as long as the internal combustion engine 1 is running.
In FIG. 2, the compressor 2 is driven by the exhaust gas turbine 6. As long as the B.rennkraftmaechine 1 is in operation, the exhaust gases gelan conditions through the line 5 to the turbine 6 and from there into the exhaust 17, so that the compressor 2 is continuously in operation. The compressor 3, on the other hand, is driven by the Elektro @ moto, r 18 and is only in operation depending on the initial pressure of the air, in that the control device 10 switches on steps of the resistor 19 when a certain value of the charging pressure is exceeded. This reduces the power of the electric motor 18 and the delivery power of the compressor 3.
In the position IV of the contact lever 20, the motor 18 is switched off and the compressor 3 is at a standstill. In the position III of the contact lever 20, the motor 18 runs at maximum speed. The boost pressure is thus kept constant in a ge know range by regulating the speed of the engine 18. The speed of the motor 18 could also be regulated in any other of the known ways, for example by means of a resistor connected in a shunt field circuit or by field tapping of the motor 18.
In Fig. 3, both the compressor 2 and the compressor 3 are BEZW by an exhaust gas turbine 21. 22 driven, which are connected in series. The Regelvorrich device 10 controls .das Auslassargan 15 in the connecting line 23 between the turbine 21 and the turbine 22. When the smallest barometer appears, the organ 15 closes the outlet 16, and the exhaust turbine 22 drives the compressor 3 with the greatest power.
If the barometric pressure rises above a certain value, which depends on the constant value of the call charge pressure and also on the load, the performance of the exhaust gas turbine 22 is reduced by means of the control device 10 in order to keep the call charge pressure constant until the control device is completely opened Outlet. 16 and from closing the exhaust gas inlet to the turbine 22, the latter and thus the compressor 3 shut down.
With the control slide 12 respectively. .dem servomotor piston 14, as described in the main patent, control devices for the fuel supply BEZW. for regulating the load.
