In der Zeichnung ist ein Ausführungs beispiel der Erfindung schematiseh darge stellt. 19 ist die Unterbrechungsstelle eines Stromkreises, beispielsweise einer Phase des Speisestromki,c;
derart, dass die entmagnetisierende Wirkung ,des in Richtung des Pfeils 21 fliessenden Ladestromes nicht dazu ausreicht, den Eisenkern 34' in den un gesättigten Zustand zu versetzen. Der in um- gekehrter Richtung fliessende Entladeetrom wirkt in gleicher Richtung wie der Vor- magnetisierungsstrom der Spule 35';
Arrangement for interrupting and closing a circuit. The invention relates to an arrangement for interrupting and closing a circuit, for. Example for high-quality controllers and relays or for power converters, especially for heavy current.
It is known to facilitate the interruption conditions of the interruption point: to keep a capacitor in parallel. In the event of an interruption, the current is maintained via this until the capacitor is charged.
In the meantime, the interruption contacts can be moved from one another to prevent re-ignition with certainty. When looking at the interruption point again, however, the capacitor is then discharged again via the interruption point.
Here, under certain circumstances, relatively large currents occur which can lead to switching arcs and thus to erosion damage to the interruption contacts. To dampen these current surges can be a. Resistance can be switched in front of the capacitor.
However, the larger this is, the more it worsens the spark-releasing effect of the capacitor when the interruption point is opened.
The above disadvantages are avoided in accordance with the invention in that a throttle. with that which is saturated in terms of direction and strength when a current passes through it, and when the current value falls below a certain value,
suddenly desaturating iron core within the current path parallel to the interruption point with the capacitor connected in series.
For example, with the help of a magnetization, preferably taken from a special power source, the saturation limit:
the throttle is set so that the current in the charging direction can flow through the throttle unhindered when the interrogation point is opened, because it is then in a saturated state and consequently has a practically negligible resistance value.
As soon as a discharge current begins to flow through the throttle in the opposite direction when the interruption point closes, it falls below the saturation limit and, due to its now higher inductive resistance, delays an increase in the discharge current long enough until the interruption point is safely closed .
For the aforementioned purpose, the direction of the current of the premagnetization must then be selected so that it has a magnetizing effect in the same direction as the charging current, which is to flow through it unhindered. The strength of the pre-magnetization current is expediently dimensioned in such a way that the choke is pre-magnetized by this current alone up to the saturation limit.
The choke can be within the parallel current path. a high ohmic resistance was to be connected in parallel, via which the magnetic energy that suddenly arises in it can gradually equalize.
The material used for the throttle core is preferably a high-quality magnetic type of iron with high permeability and a sharp saturation kink in order to get by with a very low number of connections and thus the inductance of the throttle in the saturated state, i.e. the air inductance of the winding, as low as possible hold.
Since the air inductance of such a throttle can only be used with difficulty below certain values for purely geometric reasons, it is recommended that you use it in cases where an even lower air inductance, i.e. a particularly low resistance, is required for currents in the charging direction Lich is to connect two or possibly even more such switching throttles in parallel to each other.
Furthermore, a further throttle, which is finite suddenly saturating iron core, which is presaturated in the opposite direction, can be switched into the parallel path. This gives an arrangement in which the current in the parallel path is temporarily kept within predetermined limit values in both directions.
The aforementioned arrangements are particularly suitable for use for the periodically operating switching device of a converter, eg. B. a rectifier or inverter in which there is a saturated switching inductor in series with each interruption point, which desaturates only at very low current values in the vicinity of the current zero transition,
by means of which the current course is distorted in such a way that in the vicinity of each current zero crossing a flattening, a low-current break occurs, during which the current is practically zero and can therefore be interrupted without a dangerous switching light.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of the invention is schematically Darge provides. 19 is the point of interruption of a circuit, for example a phase of the supply current, c;
is.es a multi-phase converter. The contact is actuated periodically alternating with the corresponding contacts of the other, non-blocked phases, in such a way that the current interruption takes place every time in the vicinity of the current zero passage.
A capacitor 30, with which a damping resistor 31 is connected in series, is located parallel to the interruption point. A high-resistance resistor 32 is parallel to this series maintenance.
The chokes 33 and 33 ', the iron cores 34 and 34' of which are made of a magnetically high-quality iron type, the magnetization line of which has a sharp saturation knee, are in friction with this preferably capacitive resistance combination. On the iron cores there is ever. a bias winding 35 and 35 '.
These windings are ruled out with the opposite system sense to a direct current network, with adjustable resistors 37 and 37 'allow the setting of a desired current strength for the Yormagnetisierung. Parallel to each of the saturating throttles is a high resistance 38 respectively. 38 ', over which resistances the in, den 1) ross,
Can similarly balance a fanned-out magnetic energy.
The drive (not shown) of the interruption point 19 is synchronized with the frequency of the voltage of the feeding transformer controlled in such a way that the conversation begins at a moment when the current approaching the zero value is still in the direction of the arrow drawn 20 has.
The current strength in the premagnetization winding 35 is set so strongly that the like 34 is just saturated, in the same direction as the current flowing in the direction of the arrow 21 when it flows through the coil 33 to the like,
34 acts magnetizing. This current can then flow unhindered to the capacitor 30 and charge it, as a result of which the voltage at the interruption point 19 is kept at a very low value for a period of time until:
the separating distance has reached a sufficient length to prevent backfiring. This: ensures that when the isolating distance 19 is opened, practically no switching fire occurs.
If the periodically actuated interruption point 19 is closed again at the beginning of the following current transmission period, it would be closed without any special precautions. Current surge from the capacitor 30 in the direction of the; Arrow 22 can flow over the switching point and cause a spark there before the contacts make a firm effort.
This is now prevented by the throttle 33 ver; namely, the current flowing from the capacitor 30 in the direction of the arrow 22 counteracts the pre-magnetization brought about by the coil 35 on the iron core in a demagnetizing manner.
As a result, the iron core is initially in the unsaturated state, and as a result the choke 33 has a very high resistance value (inductance) by which the discharge current is throttled so that the closing spark cannot develop.
The throttle 33 'is meaningless for the process outlined because it can be adjusted to above the saturation kink of the magnetization curve of the iron core by setting the control resistor 37' accordingly. 34 'is premagnetized:
in such a way that the demagnetizing effect of the charging current flowing in the direction of the arrow 21 is not sufficient to put the iron core 34 'in the unsaturated state. The discharge current flowing in the opposite direction acts in the same direction as the bias current of the coil 35 ';
The iron core 34 'consequently remains saturated both during the charging of the capacitor 30 and during its discharge, that is, both when opening a, 1s and when closing the interruption point 19, so that the coil 33' has a practically negligible resistance value .
The prerequisite for this is of course that the voltage in the closing eye has the same direction as the current in the moment of interruption. This requirement is for. Example stain. Rectifier usually it fills.
However, it can now occur, for example, as a result of a change in the phase position: of the switching cycle for the purpose of setting a different modulation level or as a result of electrical or mechanical disturbances,
that the voltage at the moment of closing has the opposite direction as the current at the interruption, so that the capacitor is charged in reverse. Then there is the risk that a high discharge current surge from the capacitor in direction d:
arrow 21 flows over the closing interruption point and causes a closing spark there. The throttle 33 'protects against this.
As soon as the discharge current in the direction of the arrow 21: has reached such a value that it: cancels the saturating effect of the pre-magnetizing current flowing in the coil 35 'and:
so that like. 34 'placed in the unsaturated state, the choke 33' suddenly assumes a high resistance value (inductance), which prevents further increases in the discharge current in the direction of arrow 21.
The limit of the discharge current can be dimensioned in such a way that in this case too, switching fire causing noticeable contact erosion is avoided when the interruption point 19 is closed.
The throttling effect of throttles 33 and 33 'is only temporary, because every time after a certain time, during which the throttle is in the unsaturated state, saturation occurs in the opposite direction, and with it the resistance value again decreases by a small amount. The effective times of the chokes are long enough, however, that during this time .the safe closing of the interruption section can take place.
