Description

Z-usatzpatent zum Hauptpatent Nr. 192442. Elektrische Lainpe.

Additional patent to main patent no. 192442. Electric Lainpe. The present invention relates to an electric lamp according to the patent claim of the main patent with an evaporation tube and a filament connected in parallel to this. The additional invention is that the evaporation tube is free of ignition gases.

The previously used evaporation tubes were required to initiate the ignition and reduce the ignition voltage. tion special gases, preferably noble gases, such as. B. argon and neon. These gases were there to make the discharge path conductive for a corresponding ignition voltage, because the vapor of the metal floor body generated by the gas discharge temperature only becomes conductive when it has reached the corresponding saturation pressure. This, in turn, can only be achieved if the pipe has the required temperature.

This costly and lengthy Ab- filling of noble gases is superfluous with the tube according to the invention, because the filament in parallel to this evaporation tube radiates such heat that the metal bottom body, such. B. Rg, Na, is immediately evaporated in such a way that the conductivity of the tube is established via the molecules of the metal vapor at the time of ignition.

In the case of the lamp according to the invention, it is therefore sufficient only to evacuate the tube and to bring in the bottom body. Expediently, the evaporation tube has no further filling apart from the vaporizable metal bottom body.
