In -der Zeichnung ist der Gegenstand der Erfindung in zwei Ausführungsformen bei- spielsweise veranschaulicht, und zwar zeigt.: Fig. 1 im Schnitt und teilweiser 'Seiten ansicht einen Temperaturregler für sich her- gezeichnet; F'ig. 2 zeigt. in Ansicht von vorn die Reguliereini-ichtun\,)- für die Einstellung der Neljenschl usslei tuno, ;
Damit nun ständig eine gewisse Grund menge von Heizdampf durch das Expansions- Q@efäss zirkulieren und in den 3Iilcherhitzer übertreten kann, wodurch eine gleiehblei- hende Dannpftemper;atur in dem Expa.nsions- g@efäss 7 garantiert;
Temperature regulator, especially for steam-heated milk heaters. The invention relates to a temperature controller to be installed in a heating steam line for heaters or the like, in particular for steam-heated milk heaters, with a heat sensor that controls a heating steam valve via a working body.
The invention aims in particular to improve the control accuracy and operational safety of the previously known temperature controller for milk heaters. In the known temperature regulators of this type, undesirable pendulum movements occur, which are noticeable in the milk temperature diagram of the regulator by more or less large swings. In contrast, it must be ensured that the milk temperature always remains constant. Above all, all external influences on the temperature controller, such as B.
Fluctuations in the outside temperature should be switched off if possible so that the set control temperature always remains the same. The invention consists in that the working element of the heat sensor is arranged in an expansion vessel which is switched into the stimulation steam line behind the heating steam valve and which is connected to the heating steam line by a bypass line,
that .through this expansion vessel a basic amount of heating steam flows through even when the heating steam valve is closed.
The heat sensor is expediently built into the milk outlet pipe to regulate the temperature of milk heaters.
The bypass line is preferably variable in the size of its passage cross section so that different heating steam basic amounts can be set according to different basic amounts of liquid to be heated.
This design of the temperature regulator can surprisingly result in a considerable increase in the control accuracy and operational reliability. Thereby.
Since a certain amount of basic steam constantly enters the expansion vessel via the shunt line and is immediately released in the same, a constant steam temperature of around <B> 100'C </B> is always maintained in your expansion vessel, so that the according to the invention in:
The working body of the heat sensor, which is arranged in the expansion vessel, is constantly exposed to this constant temperature and thus cannot be impaired in its operation by the often very considerable fluctuations in the outside temperature. This eliminates an important source of error and ensures that the working body can do its work undisturbed by these temperature fluctuations.
Furthermore, it can be achieved that the heat sensor works very easily and reacts to the slightest temperature fluctuations in the outflowing milk or the like with a corresponding adjustment of the heating steam valve, because it only has to take over the peak regulation thanks to the constant amount of basic steam .
It has been found that the harmful pendulum movements of the control device also disappear and that the temperature controller now works very smoothly and precisely. The setting of the bypass line opening by hand is often too cumbersome and difficult in practical operation because the operating personnel in the dairy or similar businesses are usually not sufficiently trained to carry out the required fine adjustment.
In an expedient embodiment of the invention, the simple manual adjustment of the shunt line is therefore also replaced by an automatic adjustment device.
According to this embodiment of the controller, the bypass line for the basic heating medium quantity, which bypasses the main control valve for the heating steam, is automatically opened when the main control valve is closed by means of the heat sensor system controlling the main control valve and shut off or at least throttled again when the main control valve opens.
The through-opening of the shunt line can preferably be designed as a central through-passage of a valve whose valve closure body, e.g. B. a double seat cone or a single seat cone, a slide or the like .. is actuated by the valve spindle of the main control valve.
Here, it is advisable to provide a clearance between the actuating valve spindle of the main control valve and the valve rod of the secondary closing valve that the valve closing body of the secondary valve remains in its rest position during the normal opening positions or control movements of the main control valve and only:
with a stronger throttling or closing of the main control valve is carried along by the valve spindle of the main control valve and is more or less opened.
As a result, the desired automatic setting and control of the secondary line for the basic steam quantity is achieved in a simple and reliable manner. The tests with Milehe.rhitzern have even shown that the undesired sudden pendulum movements of the controller and thus the temperature can be avoided even better and more safely than before by this automatic device.
In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is illustrated, for example, in two embodiments, namely: FIG. 1 shows a temperature controller in section and in a partial side view; F'ig. 2 shows. front view of the regulating unit,) - for setting the Neljenschl usslei tuno,;
FIG. 3 schematically shows the overall arrangement of a steam-heated centrifugal heater for milk, cream or the like with a temperature controller according to FIG. 1 and on a reduced scale, FIG. 4 finally shows a further embodiment of the temperature controller with automatic setting device .
The arrangement shown schematically in FIG. 3 shows a centrifugal heater 1: which is supplied with heating steam through a steam line 2. First, the heating steam expediently passes a special reducing valve 3, which ensures that pressure fluctuations are avoided and the heating steam flows to the temperature controller with exactly the same steam pressure.
For practical reasons, a shut-off valve 4 can also be installed in the steam line 2; The heating steam then reaches the actual heating steam control valve 5, which is actuated by a working element 6.
This working body 6 is arranged in an expansion vessel 7 shown in more detail in FIG. 1, by which the heating steam flows into the interior of the milk heater 1 via a short connecting line 8. The working body 6 is advantageously connected to a regulating device 9, the other circular scale 10, the desired temperature. which can be set to heat the liquid.
The liquid to be heated in the centrifugal heater 1, such as milk, cream or the like, leaves the heater 1 through a milk outflow line 11 in which a heat sensor 12 is installed. Another heat sensor 13, which is connected to a writing thermometer 15 by a capillary tube 14, is advantageously installed in the outflow line 11. The heat sensor 12 is connected to the working body 6 by a capillary tube 16.
It is held stationary in its position with the aid of a holder 17, while the milk outlet pipe 11 is removably angeord net. The condensed water from the Mächler heater 1 flows through a drainage device 18 which allows the condensed water to escape freely and without accumulating. The drain 18 dips somewhat into a drain funnel 19, which leads the condensed water into a discharge line 20.
The heating steam valve 5 (fix. 1) is designed, for example, as a double seat valve with double seat valve cones 21 which close or open the corresponding valve passages 22. The heating steam flows through an inlet connection 23 in the direction of the arrow drawn into the valve 5.
The valve cones 21 are mounted on a valve spindle 24. On the upper end of the valve spindle 24 .presses an adjustable valve spring 25, which strives to bring the Ven tilkegel 21 in its open position. The heat sensor 12 consists of a tubular body which is closed off from the outside and which is filled with an expansion fluid, e.g. B. glycerine. Is filled.
The working body 6 also consists of a tubular body, the interior of which is connected to the interior of the heat sensor 12 through the capillary tube 16. The expansion fluid also fills the capillary tube 16 and the interior of the working body 6.
In the interior of the working body 6 filled with expansion fluid, bellows 26, which is closed by a bellows bucket, emerges from the side adjacent to the valve body 6. A rod 27, which acts on the valve cone 21, is connected to the bellows base of this spring bellows 26. The liquid contained in the working body cannot penetrate into the interior of the bellows 26, but only flows around this bellows 26 from the outside.
From the side opposite the bellows, a further bellows 2, 6 'also dips into the interior of the working body 6. which is also closed by a ball bottom and is also only surrounded by the liquid from the outside. This spring bellows <B> 2,6 '</B> is used to adjust the size of the liquid space in the working body 6 with the aid of the regulating device 9.
For this purpose, the bellows bottom of the bellows 26 'is provided with a rod protruding into the regulating device 9, which is threaded, for example, and works with a threaded nut, or which is designed, for example, as a rack and pinion is working.
The rod connected to the bellows of the spring tube 26 'can in this way be moved more or less deep into the interior of the working body 6. For this purpose, for example, a square is provided at the end of the regulating device 9, which can be turned with a key. The rotation is transmitted simultaneously to the pointer of a round regulating neck 10. on which the size of the setting can be read.
When the temperature of the outflowing Hilch in the milk outflow pipe 1.1 rises, the expansion fluid in the heat sensor 12 expands. The resulting increase in volume is transferred through the capillary tube 16 into the working body 6. The expansion fluid, before it needs more space, presses from below on the bellows base of the bellows 26 and moves the bellows 26 together.
Since the rod 27 is pushed out of the working body 6 by. The rod <B> '27 </B> therefore rises and moves the valve cones 21 onto their valve seats, whereby the valve passages 22 are partially or completely closed.
The bellows 6 ', which is only used to adjust the size of the liquid space in the working body 6, remains in its position. When the milk temperature in the outflow pipe 11 drops again as a result of the heating steam valve 5 being closed, the expansion fluid in the heat sensor 12 contracts again. The volume of the elimination fluid is reduced.
The spring 25 can now act via the valve spindle? -1 on the rod 27 and thus on the bottom of the bellows 26 and press the bellows 26 into the interior of the working body 6 in accordance with the reduced liquid volume. According to this movement of the Sta.n: ge <B> '27 </B> and of the bellows 26, the valve cones 21 are also brought back into their open position.
When the bellows 26 'is pressed deeper into the working body 6 with the aid of the regulating device 9, the space available for the expansion liquid is reduced and the bellows 26 is already through the milk outlet pipe 11 at a lower temperature increase Expansion fluid presses together, so that the valve 5 is already closed at a lower temperature.
Conversely, if the bellows 26 'is further pulled out of the working body 6, the expansion liquid can initially fill the free space in the working body 6 at a temperature increase and then only acts on the bellows 26. The valve 5 is then only at a higher temperature in hlilchau @ flow tube 11 closed.
The expansion vessel 7 is expediently provided with an insulating jacket 8. The working body 6 is preferably surrounded at a certain distance by a sieve-like perforated pipe 29 or the like, which distributes the steam coming from the valve evenly in the expansion vessel, from which the steam then passes through an outlet connection 30 passes into the milk heater 1.
So that a certain basic amount of heating steam can now constantly circulate through the expansion tank and pass into the milk heater, which guarantees a constant temperature in the expansion tank 7;
and basic heating is brought about in the Milelier heater, a bypass line 31 is provided which bypasses the steam valve 5, for the sake of simplicity, preferably directly in the steam valve. In this arrangement, the shunt line 31 consists of a simple bore, which is also provided at some other point:
could. It is now also essential that the cross-section of this branch line 31 can be set arbitrarily from the outside. so that different basic steam volumes can be let through according to different milk heater capacities.
The regulation consists before geous of a cooperating with the bypass opening 31 rule 32, which can be adjusted with the help of a threaded spindle 33. The threaded spindle 33 is guided to the outside through a stuffing box 34 and see with an adjusting lever 35, which can be adjusted to different basic positions via a circle: Skal.a 36 or the like, which corresponds to the different opening widths of the bypass line 3, 1 and thus the correspond to different basic steam quantities allowed through.
In the exemplary embodiment presented, three main settings are provided on the scale 36, for example, which would correspond to the lowest output, an average output and the highest output of the centrifugal heater 1.
With the help of this regulation, the basic amount of steam can be set in such a way that with the smallest amount of liquid to be heated, an amount of steam flows through the bypass line 31 that is not quite sufficient to bring the liquid to be heated to the desired temperature.
The actual peak regulation is then made with the heat sensor 12, which according to the temperature of the outflowing milk on the working body 6, the valve cone 21 of the steam valve 5 lifts more or less far from its seat, so that the required additional amount of steam through the expansion vessel 7 in the milk heater 1 can reach.
For example, the bypass line 31 may be set in such a way that the amount of basic steam flowing through it causes 60-70% of the desired heating, while the remaining 40-30% of the heating is caused by the additional steam generated by the actual heat sensor 12 controlled valve passage flows.
The mode of operation of the above temperature regulator is easily understandable, so that no further explanation is required. The temperature controller can also be used for other heaters or the same. In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 4, the heated milk exits from a milk heater (not shown) through a removably arranged milk outflow line 37 in the direction of the arrows drawn.
In the milk outflow line 37, a milk heat sensor 33 is installed, which is through a capillary tube 39 with a thermostatic: static work or. Heat sensor body 40 is connected.
The working spaces of the heat sensor and working body are filled with a substance, preferably a liquid, which expands or contracts in accordance with the fluctuations in temperature and thereby controls the movements of the heating steam valve 41.
In the exemplary embodiment, the heating steam serving as the heating medium flows through an inlet connection 42 into the heating steam valve 41 and first enters a so-called expansion vessel 43 in which the thermostatic working element 40 is installed. Preferably, the thermostatic work body 40 is surrounded at a certain distance by a sieve-like perforated tube 44 or the like,
in which the steam coming from the valve first flows in and then evenly passes through the bores in the pipe 44 into the outer expansion space 45, from which the steam finally flows through an outlet port 46 into the heater.
A spring tube 47 dips into the working space of the thermostatic working body from below, which can be pressed more or less deep into the working space with the help of a regulating device 48 in order to set the desired temperature. From above, another spring tube 49, which acts on the valve spindle 51 of the main valve 52, 53 via a working pin 50, dips into the working body 40.
In the valve housing 41, a shunt line 54 branches off from the inlet connection 42, which can be attached at any point, into which a lockable shunt opening, which preferably consists of a valve passage opening 55, is connected. The bypass valve of the bypass line 54 is designed, for example, as a double seat valve,
whose double seat cone 56 works with the corresponding ausgebil Deten valve passage opening 55 together. The shunt valve could of course also be designed as a single-seat valve or as a slide valve or the like. A particularly advantageous arrangement of the entire heating steam valve is that the main control valve is designed as a double-seat valve and the auxiliary valve, which is expediently provided above it, is designed as a single-seat valve.
The closure body of the bypass valve, in the exemplary embodiment the double seat cone 56, is provided with a valve rod 57 which ends freely above the valve spindle 51 of the main control valve while maintaining a certain amount of play. In order to be able to adjust this clearance and thus the stroke of the secondary circuit valve, the valve spindle 57 is arranged in the double seat cone 56 and provided at its upper end with a head 58 which enables the valve spindle 57 to be moved forward or backward.
The closure body 56 of the shunt valve is under loading, for example under the action of a spring 59, which loads the shunt valve in the sense of a closure. The upper end of the spring 59 is supported against a screw-type closure 60.
As a result of the arrangement of the bypass valve 55, 56 with its loading spring 59 above the main control valve 52, 53, the spring loading of the main control valve must be accommodated in some other way. For this purpose, the loading spring 61 of the main control valve 52, 53 is arranged under half of the valve cone 53 in a special spring sleeve 62,
. Which is fastened in a guide piece 63 provided with sufficient openings for the passage of steam. The loading spring 61 acts on a spring plate 64 which is firmly connected to the valve spindle 51. The spring plate 64 is sleeve-like and also serves to guide the work pin 50 of the thermostatic Arbeitsskör pers 40, which can freely push from below against the valve spindle 51 to the main control valve 52, 53 to close.
The spring sleeve 62 can be designed as a guide for the thermostatic work body 40 at its lower end.
It is also expedient to see the valve housing 41 with a device which enables the valve position to be observed from the outside. This Einrich device can, for example, consist of a viewing glass or an outwardly protruding, provided with a mark part of a valve spindle. Finally, for the practical arrangement of the temperature controller, it has proven to be advantageous to:
control device 48 of the temperature controller is not fixed, but to be connected with the aid of a screw connection 65 in order to be able to rotate the dial 66 of the setting device 42 in any desired direction, depending on the local conditions.
The mode of operation of the temperature regulator device described above and shown in FIG. 4 is briefly as follows: When the temperature regulator operates in the normal manner, the valve cone -52 of the main control valve 52, 53 is in its open position. This situation is shown in Fig.4. It can also be seen from FIG. 4 that the secondary closing valve 55, 56 is closed in this position.
The valve cone 56 of the bypass valve is pressed onto its seat by the spring 59. Since there is a gap or play between the upper end of the valve spindle 51 of the main control valve and the lower end of the valve spindle 57 of the secondary leakage valve, the main control valve can execute certain movements in an opening or closing direction that are within the normal control range. without influencing the location and position of the bypass valve.
If, however, as a result of a sudden adjustment of the temperature or a change in the amount of milk or the steam pressure or as a result of other order, the valve cone 52 of the main valve 52, 53 stands by .den on the valve spindle 51 against the action of the spring 61, the working pin 50 strongly is advanced in the sense of a closure so that the main control valve is completely or almost completely closed,
so the upper end of the valve spindle 51 pushes against the valve spindle 57 of the bypass valve and thereby lifts the valve cone 56 from its seat. The valve passage 55 of the bypass line 54 is opened in this way, and the desired basic steam quantity can flow into the expansion vessel 43 and into the heater even when the main control valve is closed.
The stroke of the valve cone 56 of the bypass valve is relatively small and is set in a certain ratio to the stroke and the size of the main control valve 52, 53.
The Heizdampfventil works in general so only with the main control valve 52, 53, while the bypass valve 55, 56 is only in special cases in action ver to prevent the otherwise occurring pendulum movements of the control device. Since the normal operation of the temperature regulator is restored very quickly in this way, the activity of the secondary valve is limited to a relatively short time.
