Le dispositif faisant l'objet de la pré sente invention s'adapte -à des machines dans lesquelles l'espace disponible entre les cy lindres pour le logement d'un organe de charge est insuffisant pour permettre audit organe -d'osciller entre les cylindres;
La disposition et le façonnement de la fente 11 sont tels qu'ils- permettent à la tringle 18 un mouvement purement rectiligne pendant le fonctionnement du levier 9, tandis que la tringle 13 peut se déplacer légèrement latéralement, grâce à sa liaison par le cro chet à poids 15 avec le levier 16, dans un plan parallèle aux axes des: cylindres;
Device for loading cylinders of a machine for the preparation of textile fibers. The present invention relates to a device for loading cylinders of a machine 'for the preparation of textile fibers.
In machines for preparing and spinning cotton fibers or other textile fibers, the device for loading the cylinders comprises a saddle bearing at least two adjacent cylinders and a cam and lever mechanism mounted on this. salt lette and cooperating with a load member extending between two of these cylinders.
Until here the load member moved back and forth or in the opposite direction, that is to say towards one -of the cylinders or towards the other, during the. load application and removal operations.
The device which is the object of the present invention is suitable for machines in which the space available between the cylinders for housing a load member is insufficient to allow said member to oscillate between the cylinders. ;
it is characterized in that it comprises guide means arranged in such a way as to prevent any oscillatory movement of said load member between the cylinders during the application and during the removal of the load.
The cam and lever mechanism can be arranged so that between the positions of "load applied" and "load suppressed" it passes through a neutral point, which prevents parts of said mechanism from leaving in a manner. unexpectedly cers. positions.
The appended drawing represents, by way of examples, two embodiments of the device which is the subject of 19, this invention.
Fig. 1 is a side view of a first embodiment of this device; fig. 2 is a view similar to that of fi-. 1, the members being shown in a different position; the fi-. 3 is a perspective view of a detail; fig. 4 shows part of the device of FIGS. 1 and 2, turned from 90, and perpendicular to the threads. 1 and 2; the end-. 5 is a view similar to fi-. 1, representing a second embodiment of this device.
Figs. 1 and 2 represent the stretching head. of a pin bed, the loading device being applied to two pairs of cylinders. respectively indicated in A, A, and B, Bl. The two upper cylinders _1 and B carry a common fifth wheel 6, of which. the.
position is determined by a half-bearing by which it rests on the: cylinder _l. As shown in the. fig. 3, the saddle is provided with a speed bump portion, which is slit longitudinally at 7, to form two parallel flanges 8, between which is housed a lever 9 having a cam-shaped end 11 for.
cooperate with the groove formed at the bottom of the. slot 7, the width of this slot 7 being just sufficient to ac corder. freedom of movement to the lever 9 and to the cam 10 between the positions of the latter shown respectively to the fil-. 1 and 2.
The flanges 8 of the harness are further split vertically at 11, so as to form an effective guide for the movement of a transverse axis or pin 12 fixed to the heel of the lever 9, when the latter is actuated in the. slot 7 between the extreme positions indicated above. The peg 12 protrudes sufficiently from either side of the slot 11 to form journals for bi.furqué parts of a load rod 13, which extends between the pairs of cylinders.
The rod 13 could be linked to a weight suspended freely from a hook 14 formed at its end; in this case, the movements of this rod during the operation of the lever 9 would only be vertical and would not be affected by its. connection with weight.
In some cases, however, it is preferred. arrangement shown in the drawing, in which the hook 14 of the rod 13 engages. in the upper loop of a hook at, weight 15, which is linked to the arm 16 of a lever at. two arms 16, 1.7 rotating at 18 (fil-. 4) on the frame 19, around an axis per pendicular to the evlinders. The other pitch 17 of said lever with two arms is used to suspend the weight 20.
The weight hook 15 has shoulders 1._i1, so as to be able to rest on the edges of a drilled washer 21, thus limiting the distance: over which the weight 20 must be lifted when the load is applied, and facilitating also the release and the engagement ment of the hook 14 of the. rod 13 of and with the weight hook 15, when it is desired to remove or replace the. harness 6 and its associated parts.
Fig. 1 shows the relative positions of the parts of the device when the load is applied to the. harness. The lever 9 has been turned back, so that its cam-shaped end 10 can engage with the bottom of the slot 7 to lift the peg 12 in the vertical slot 11; this movement has the effect of pulling up the load connection rod 1.3 and lifting the weight 20 using the hook 15 and the lever with two arms 16, 17; at this time, the shoulders 151 no longer rest on the washer 21.
To free the. saddle 6 of the weight pressure. lever 9 is brought forward in the position shown in fi-. 2, so that its cam-shaped end 10 slides out of contact with the bottom of the slot 7. The peg 12 can sink into the slot 11 and lower the weight 20 until the shoulders 151 of the. weight hook 15 rest on their seat 21.
Following the movement of lever 9, after that. this point has been reached. at. to disengage from hook to. weight 1.'i the hook 14 of the rod 13, after which the. fifth wheel 6 and the parts carried by it can be removed from the cylinders, the rod 13 being pulled up between the latter.
The embodiment of the loading device shown in fi-. 5 applies to three adjacent pairs of cylinders C, C1, D, D, and E, E ,. In this case, the harness is articulated and formed @de 4eug complementary parts 21 -and 22, the first of which only bears on the front cylinder C,
while the last @ rests on the two rear cylinders D and E and carries a half-bearing effectively determining its position in relation to cylinder E. The two parts of the fifth wheel are linked together by means of a pin 23 , capable of sliding in a groove and which allows a high degree of adjustment of said parts according to the spacing:
Oylinders.
The pressure of the weight is transmitted by the rod 13 to a lever 9, the end of which in the form of a cam 10 cooperates with a groove formed by a slot formed longitudinally; in the part 21 of the fifth wheel , so that the load is applied simultaneously to all: the three pairs of cylinders.
It is preferred to make the rod 13 in its entire length of spring steel or other flexible material which, due to its own elasticity, will provide a shock absorbing or damping connection between the weight and the saddle.
It will be seen that the mode of action of the load link 13 and the way in which this link is connected to the weight are both intended to prevent any movement of the rod back and forth, or in the opposite direction, that is to say towards one or the other of the cylinders between which it is situated during the operations of applying and removing the load.
The arrangement and the shaping of the slot 11 are such that they allow the rod 18 a purely rectilinear movement during the operation of the lever 9, while the rod 13 can move slightly laterally, thanks to its connection by the hook. at weight 15 with the lever 16, in a plane parallel to the axes of the: cylinders;
a movement of the rod in this last direction is naturally negligible, since it does not start:
affected by cylinder spacing. By the means described, we are able to use the described embodiments of the loading device in machines where the cylinders are placed fairly close.
from each other to render impracticable the use of loading devices in which the load connection or rod between the fifth wheel and the weight hook participates in an oscillating movement or other movement back and forth. .
The embodiments shown and described have the further advantage of effectively maintaining the parts in the "load applied" and "load removed" positions, since the pin 12 enters the lever 9. and the rod 13 passes through a dead point in its movement between the aforesaid positions.
It is understood, however, that other means, for example. pawls pressed by res spells or similar means can be prevented to achieve the same result.
Las: two embodiments described above are shown applied to a mechanism:
stretching in which an inclined cylinder support is used, but it is obvious that one could also provide embodiments applicable to a stretching or drawing mechanism in which the line. according to which moves the stretched or drawn material is located in a horizontal plane, as in the drawing bench or the wholesale pin bed.
In such cases, the indispensable rectilinear movement of the load rod would be achieved by the use of a salt lette with a guide slot 11 arranged vertically and the weight would be suspended directly below it by the usual way for such benches.
However, when the support of the cylinders: is inclined, as in a spindle bed or a continuous ring spinning machine, the guide slot 11 @of the saddle can be vertical, as in the devices described above. above, or in olinée in relation to the harness,
so as to impart to the load rod a rectilinear movement along a line perpendicular to the line following which -se - places the wick: de preparation, etc.,. so that such a rod can pass through. equal distance of upper cylinders, like lower cylinders.
Ires described embodiments of the positive have the advantage of being able to be adapted to. already existing machines, thus reducing the number of parts to be replaced on these machines.
Another advantage. of these execution flours consists in requiring only a very small effort from the worker when he applies or suppresses the load.
