I>:</I> .: <I>=</I> rrr <I>:
</I> (b-z) und daraus
EMI0002.0093

An ihrem rückwärtigen Ende ist diese Spindel aehsial verdrehbar in einer Kardankugel 18 gelagert (Fib. 5), die ihrer seits mittels des Sehildzapfenpaares 18;m 18a in der Kardanbabel 19 gelagert ist, welche ebenfalls mittels des horizontalen Zapfens 19;
die Normalprojektion des Nullpunktes 0 der lobarithmisehen Linie 13;1 auf die mit der Seite 91-93 (Fib. ?) zusammenfallende Drehungsach @se der Trommel 13 verkörpert. Zieht man schliesslich noch durch den Mittelpunkt der Rolle 9 eine zrr dieser Drehunbsa.eh se senk rechte Linie, so schneidet diese auf der Dreiecksehe 91-92;

dumch den Sehusswinkel begrenzte Dreiecksehe der Geschossfallhöhe während der Geschossflug- zeit entspricht. Zwecks b-ung :dieser Geschossfallhöhe wird hier @d.as Gehäuse mit,der Einstellvorrichtung des Geschwindig keitsvektors um .die im Distanzskälenmass- stab eingestellte Geschossfallhöhe vertikal ge hoben;
daher wäre die Verbindung der La gerung des vertikalen Gehäusezapfens 21a mit dem manuell oder zwangläufig zugleich mit der Einstellung < der Treffdistanz z ein stellbaren Fallhöhenaufsatz derartig durch zuführen;

Device for the mechanical determination of the firing elements for the bombardment of moving targets. The invention relates to an improvement and useful embodiment of the described in the German patent No. 485475 enclosed and in Fig. 9, shown from guide form for the mechanical determination of the respective lead angle of the firearm #ind,
the respective floor flight time and meeting point distance required for floor stamping.
With this known sighting device, which is based on the mechanical resolution of the approximate equation for the projectile flight time <I> t - </I> az! (Bz), as is also the case with Swiss patent specification No. 150344, where z is the point of impact and a, b are two parameters, a cord is used as the adjusting element, which is inexpedient inasmuch as the accuracy of the transmission of adjustment movements suffers as a result of its variable extensibility.
In addition, the design used in the known device of the organ to be set by \ found in terms of size and direction and embodying the target speed vector does not allow setting in any direction.
These disadvantages are avoided according to the invention in that a two-part cardan shaft of variable length is arranged between the organ embodying the target speed vector and the device, which is also to be operated manually, for the continuous setting of the successively measured target distance Control element of the target speed vector gimbal-connected part as a part secured against axial rotation,
is designed with a helical screw spindle, while the front part of the cardan shaft, which is gimbaled to the setting device for the measured target distance, is designed as a nut sleeve seated on this helical thread and secured against axial displacement, so that every change in length of the cardan shaft ,
So every axial displacement of the threaded spindle in the nut sleeve causes a proportional rotation of the latter and the gimbal connected to it, which is rotatably mounted parallel to the barrel axis of the firearm as a carrier of a logarithmic line used as a setting mark for the measured target distance, whose point of contact with a to the drum axis pa.r- a,
llelen and axially displaceably mounted logarithmically divided target distance scale forms the setting mark for the measured target distances, this distance scale being moved in the axial direction by an amount dependent on the projectile flight time at the same time with the drum, with the control device for setting the speed vector also being designed in this way is
that this can be set as an air gap between a primordial material point and the Ka.rdan!2#@elenk- center point of the rear part of the Kar dan shaft in any size and direction. The inventor is aware that the cardan transmission does not allow an exact proportionality of the relevant angle of rotation.
The subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing in an exemplary embodiment, specifically showing: FIG. 1 the mechanical basis in a perspective view; In FIGS. 2 to 7, the horizontal position of the barrel axis of the firearm is assumed for the sake of simplicity.
and the target's trajectory in the vertical plane of the projectile trajectory; Fug. \? also shows the mechanical basis, but with the correct adjustment of the linear parameter (b) and the scheme of a logarithmic target distance setting. Fiz. 3 in a vertical middle section the overall device in side view, Fig. 4 the device for setting the target speed vector in vertical cross section,
Fig. 5 is a longitudinal section through the cardan shaft in plan view, Fig. 6 is a cross section through the front cardan joint, Fig. 7 is a longitudinal section through the telescopic sight.
In the mechanical basis according to FIG. 1, in triangle 92-95-91, point 92 designates the firearm. Point 95 the target at the moment of firing, i.e. the \ track <B> 9 -) - 95 </B> the last measured target distance (measuring distance) set on the device. from where the target during the projectile flight time t with the measured or estimated speed v in the estimated direction 95-9l. this distance = 2r.
t travels to the meeting point, so that the route a1-92 represents the meeting point distance P. If one draws the> similar <U> G </U> egendrei.eelz 92-90-96 for this path triangle, where the Strecli:
cn 90, <B> 91 </B> as linear parameter b an- 'enominen n-ird and the zii 91., 95 parallel side 9f ,, 90 is denoted by ar, the similarity of these two triangles results in the Proportion. rt <I>: </I>.: <I> = </I> rrr <I>:
</I> (b-z) and from it
EMI0002.0093
However, for constant parameters <I> a </I> and <I> b </I>, this equation only gives approximate values of the projectile flight time taken from the bullet board and related to the point of impact distance z. However, the ni .-: n. can correct by automatically changing the parameter b by amounts E according to the shooting table values of t for the shooting distances z. However, these values e are neglected for the time being.
If one considers in Fig. \? the triangle 90-9 \ 3-96 as a velocity triangle @ with the time a as the proportionality factor, then the page 90, 92 appears proportional to the mean projectile velocity along the length the tendon,. <U> de </U> r CTechoss trajectory and the page 92, 96 <I> = </I> axlt proportional to the speed of a fictitious,
C-floor moving in a straight line and uniformly, which would cover the measuring distance x in time t. It is now a question of finding the time t by dividing x and
EMI0002.0122
to be determined mechanically, using logarithms. Well is very general
EMI0002.0124
where k can be any length. Each of these three expressions is marked in FIG. 2 by a line.
The distance <I> k </I> log <I> <U> t </U> </I> <U> we </U> d is plotted from point 92 on the straight line 92, 91 and you End point 91 'does not, of course, coincide with 91, since segment 91, 92 is segment z itself.
There is therefore an excess d-91 ', 91 -z-klogt, or, if a is neglected, approximated
EMI0003.0011
The value of x should now be read on a logarithmic scale and the excess d is formed with the help of a curve disc rotatable around point 91, the radius vectors of which correspond to the changes d for rotation angle proportio nal to z.
If the above-mentioned logarithmic x-scale is now shifted to the left by this amount d, the target distance x is correctly set if, according to FIG. 2, the intersection point X of the line 90, 91 with a space curve 1,3a is used as the setting mark, which is obtained when a logarithmic line is drawn on the unwound g <U> edach </U> th lateral surface of a cylinder with a radius r that can be rotated about the distance 90, 91 as an axis and which values for ordinates
EMI0003.0024
Abscissa values 92, X = k
EMI0003.0026
supplies.
Then, according to FIG. 2, the relationship results

If the target distance x appears on the logarithmic scale where it is crossed by the space curve, the triangle 92-91-95 has exactly the shape and orientation on which FIG. 1 is based.
In particular, there is a closed angle between the <U> meeting </U> point line 90, 92 and the line of sight 96, 92, which is really the lead angle δ, so that through <U> the E </U> invisierung the target in the direction 96, 92 by means of the elevation and lateral direction of the firearm whose barrel axis comes into the position conditional on a hit when the barrel axis is still against the direction '90 -92 by one of the distance and the angle of the meeting point corresponding shot angle is inclined upwards.
This setting of the firing angle can expediently be carried out according to the known projectile height method by vertically adjusting the point 96 of the sight line 96, 92 by an amount corresponding to the height h of the projectile during the projectile flight time t will.
Strictly speaking, the correction a should also be taken into account as a function of the position angle a and the point of impact distance z. In the illustrated exemplary embodiment, however, the dependence on a is neglected. The dependency of the correction a on z can easily be taken into account when designing the cam 5.
The embodiment of the subject matter of the invention shown in FIGS. 3 to 7 can also be used for those guns that are aimed by two sights, one of which can target the target with the aid of the leveling machine, the other by means of the side straightening machine Has to pursue the sight of his rifle scope.
At the cradle of the gun barrel is provided with a slide guide bearing plate 1 is attached such that this guide is directed parallel to the gun barrel axis. A slide 2 is slidably mounted in the bearing plate and has a toothed rack 2 with helical teeth between the two C-guide surfaces, into which the worm thread 3 ″, a spindle 3 mounted in the bearing plate 1 rotatable and securely in place, engages. This is also provided with a second worm thread 3b,
dae engages in a worm wheel 4, which sits firmly next to a cam 5 -on a transverse axis 6. Against this cam there is a non-rotating. Fork 7 around: the bolt 8 rotatably mounted roller 9 pressed by means of a helical spring 10.
This fork is adjustably connected to the logarithmically divided distance scale 12 by means of the bolt 11, which is provided on the one hand with the right on the other hand with a left-hand thread. The carriage 2 is provided with two bearing stands 2; L, 2b, which are used to support the cylindrical drum <B> 13 </B>, on the jacket of which the logarithmic line 13; is drawn.
The tubular bearing journal <B> 131, </B> of this drum is provided with an inner trunnion paa.r <B> 13, - 13, </B> around which the cardan shaft 14 is rotatably mounted one to 13,., - 13 ,; vertical inner shield pin pair 14, 7-14, (Fib. 5), around which a sleeve 15 is rotatably mounted, in which a spindle 16 provided with two steep screw grooves is slidably seated.
In each of these two screw grooves engages according to Fig. 5. The remote end of one of the two Auer through the radial mortises of the sleeve 7.5 engaging pin 1.4,7--14, Un indirectly on this sleeve 15 loves the front surface of a second on the spindle ver Slidably beleaguered sleeve 17 of square cross-section, which is secured against rotation by one of the two intersecting slots of two guide brackets B1, B2,
which are stored in two pairs of visual cones, 2 and 2, i-2, 1, 2 and 2, i-2,1, of which the last named horizontally, are mounted on the tubular extension of the drum bearing? b dia metrically and perpendicularly to each other.
In addition to the two steep screw grooves, the spindle 1.6 also has an axial keyway 16a into which a parallel wedge 17 ″ fastened in the sleeve engages in order to reduce any spindle rotation.
At its rear end, this spindle is axially rotatable in a cardan ball 18 (Fig. 5), which in turn is mounted in the cardan cable 19 by means of the visual pin pair 18; m 18a, which is also mounted by means of the horizontal pin 19;
, is rotatably mounted in the bore of the cranked head of a vertically guided control rod? 0. The point of intersection of the three-way pin 18 "-18" with the axis of the horizontal fork pin 19 "embodies the point 96 of the CTesch -iiidib @ heit, s triangle 90-96-92, of which.
Point 92 is embodied by the intersection of the cardan axis of the cone pair <B> 13, -13, </B> with the perpendicular cardan axis of the cone pair 14: = 14 ,.
The triangle apex 92a of the triangle 9e, -95-91. (Fig. 3), which coincides with point 92 in Fig. 1, has here, for structural reasons, a second distance c (Fig. 3) selected from the tip 9 2 of the triangle 92-90-96 assigned to it , with the tip 92,
embodies the normal projection of the zero point 0 of the lobarithmic line 13; 1 onto the axis of rotation of the drum 13 which coincides with the side 91-93 (Fib.?). If one finally draws a line perpendicular to this rotation axis through the center of the roller 9, it intersects on the triangular line 91-92;
, the correction distance d = 91 ', 91 which, as already mentioned, according to the equation

only an approximately exact result by the Ach.sialversehiebuno- the target distance scale 12 by the amount, corrected.
According to Fig. 3 and d, the setting of the target, measured or occupied according to size and direction, is shown in a housing 21, each with a horizontal one, mounted on the gun mount so that it can rotate around a vertical pin 21 ″:
Pin <U> 22. </U>? 2 'and forks 24, 21' provided with a spur gear 23, 23 'are rotatably mounted, in each of which a screw spindle 25, 25' is rotatable and can be shifted securely.
On each of these two spindles sits a nut 26, 26 'secured against rotation inside the fork and outside each a bevel gear 27, 27' which is fastened on the spindle and which engages in a matching toothing 28, 28 'of a double toothed wheel, whose second ring gear 29,? 9 'engages in a toothed disk 30.,
which is fixed next to a loose, equal-sized tooth disk 31 on the shaft 32. A pointer 33 provided with a grip edge is attached to this shaft and serves to set the target speed v on the circumferential scale of a graduated disk 34 firmly connected to the toothed disk 31.
An identical toothed disk 31 'with a .scale disk 34' and a pointer 33 'is also located at the other end of the shaft 32. The ring gear of the disk 31', which is fixed by friction, engages in: the spur gear teeth: d: it to the toothed disk 23 Toothed pulley 23 ″ arranged coaxially and coupled to it by an intermediate gear 23a, which can be rotated by means of the arrow-shaped handles 35, 35 ′ attached to the pins 22, 22 ″.
Each of the two screw nuts 26, 26 'carries a horizontal end pin 26a, 26a' which is inserted into one of the two bores of a control rod that is vertically guided through the two parallel crank arms (FIG. 3) 20 cing, the head of which carries the previously described cardan bearing 18-18a-19-19a.
This device is attached to the cradle of the 'gun in such a way that when the target speed v - 0 is set using the pointer 33, 33', on the scales 34, 34 'and the point of impact z - 0 on a (not shown) Height of fall the gimbal center 96 lies in the shield pin axis 90 of the gun.
Such a drop height attachment is known to be based on the mechanical, scaled-down replica of that vertical triangle that is formed by the sides: gun - point of impact - intersection point - of the vertical of the point of impact with the barrel axis of the gun, the one falling into the vertical of the point of impact:
The triangular line limited by the angle of vision corresponds to the height of the height of the projectile fall during the projectile flight time. For the purpose of: this storey drop height is here @ d.the housing with the adjustment device of the speed vector by .the storey drop height set in the distance scale is raised vertically;
Therefore, the connection of the storage of the vertical housing pin 21a with the manually or necessarily at the same time with the setting <the impact distance z would perform an adjustable drop height attachment in such a way;
: that the gimbal center 96 by: the respective projectile fall velocity

vertically above the trunnion axis 90 of the gun. As a result, the lead angle d of the gun barrel axis against the line of sight, which can be seen in FIGS. 1 and 2 and which applies to a straight projectile trajectory, takes into account:
Sehuulsswinkel corrected. According to Fig. 3, 5 and 6, this corrected lead angle is now converted into a side angle and an elevation angle by the two guide brackets B1, BZ:
omponents, of which the elevation angle component is transferred to an organ influencing the line of sight of the telescopic sight F in the vertical direction by means of a 2d parallel crank pin K2 provided on the guide bracket B_ # and a hinged push rod S2, while:
the lateral angle component of the holding angle is transferred to the telescopic sight by means of a crank pin K1 attached to the guide bracket B, parallel to 2, and an iSehübstange S. This is according to Fig. 6 and 7 to a perpendicular to the elevation plane of the firearm pin F, rotatably mounted, .der is fixed in a fork Q3, the yoke Q by means of a pin Q, (perpendicular to F1) in one of the firearm (Gun cradle)
attached visor carrier B is rotatably mounted. The fork yoke Q is provided with a crank arm Q2 which is perpendicular to F1 and Q, and which is articulated to the push rod S by means of the pin F ', so that any longitudinal displacement of the latter (perpendicular to the elevation plane) causes a lateral twist - the line of sight passing through the crosshair F 'is effected while:
the vertical rotation of which is achieved by longitudinally shifting the push rod S "which engages at the upper end by means of a ball pin F" in .ein horizontal slot of the telescope housing.
A distance scale z is attached to the outer guide rail of the bearing plate, on which, by means of the pointer Z provided on the slide 2, the point of impact required for the projectile stamp and, if necessary, for the manual adjustment of the drop height attachment,. can read.
The operation of this device is as follows: First, the measured or estimated speed of the target is set by rotating the pointer 33 (33 ') on the scale 34 (34'). As a result, the bevel gears 28-27 and 28'-27 'rotate via the spur gears 30-29-29' and thus also the: diametrical screw spindles 25, 25 ', whereby a radial adjustment of the nuts 26, 26' is effected, consequently whose two pins an eccentricity proportional to the target speed against the parallel axes of the pairs of wheels 28-29, 28'-29 'he hold.
The spatial direction .dieser eccentricity caused by the control rod 20, the cardan joint center 96 of the rear wärtigen part of the cardan shaft 16 in any direction as an air gap between the latter and the in:
The vertical housing axis of rotation located unmateriell.en point 911 is transferred to the spatial arrow direction of the two handles 35, 35 'parallel, the change of inclination on the screw spindle 25, 25' partly directly, partly via the spur gears 23 ", 23a, 23, 31, 23 'takes place, the speed scales 34, 34' also being rotated together with the pointers 33, 33 '.
By setting the direction arrows 35, 3'5 'in the specific flight direction of the target, the triangle side 90-92 (FIGS. 1, 2, 3) is set so that the axis of the grooved spindle 16 passes through the sighted target point 95 has to go if the target is to be hit at point 91.
The change in length of the cardan shaft caused by each setting of the speed vector 96-90 parallel to the estimated flight direction of the target is due to the axial displacement of the threaded spindle 16 in its nut sleeve 15, a proportional rotation of the latter and the gimbal connected to it. .denen, parallel to the barrel axis of the firearm rotatably mounted cam drum 13 as a carrier of the logarithm mix line 13 "used as a setting mark for the measured target distance causes.
The gun commander is responsible for setting the target speed and the direction arrows in the direction of flight of the target, while a second man, by turning the hand crank <B> 3, </B> shifts slide 2 and, independently of that, the measuring distance scale so that it is touched by the rotating loga.rithm line 13; l in the graduation x 'corresponding to the target distance x just measured.
A third man takes care of the timing of the projectiles according to the distance to the point of impact just read off with the pointer Z, while a fourth man uses the gun. the height and side straightening machines are adjusted in such a way that the target appears as often as possible in the exact line of sight, in which case the firing has to take place.
The consideration of the influence of the muzzle velocity, which depends on the respective physical conditions (daily relation) and the barrel wear, on the firing range and shot flight time is done here simply by adjusting the target distance scale x by rotating the double threaded bolt 11 according to an angle scale (not shown), whereby the length 1, - log t (Fig. 2) is changed, which corresponds to a multiplication of all Geeehoss flight times with the same factor.
