Ausschankeinrichtung.
Serving facility. In the practical use of the device claimed in claim II of the main patent for dispensing beverages with the aid of a vacuum as the driving force for lifting the liquid and using one or more empty containers that served as a vacuum reserve, this vacuum container was dimensioned so that the vacuum pump only had to be started from time to time.
For example, it was switched on at a minimum vacuum and switched off at a maximum vacuum, with the minimum vacuum just being sufficient for pouring. Since the tap is connected to the vacuum container by means of a line, it is under the influence of this variable vacuum and accordingly the flow rate of the liquid varies.
In order to fully utilize the advantages of the vacuum reserve on the one hand and to keep the tap away from these fluctuations on the other hand, which is particularly important for systems with self-service, Dr. G. Meier and d. Jenny, diel.
Ing., The dispensing device claimed in claim II of the main patent has been improved in such a way that in the vacuum circuit to the dispensing point, be it for example on the vacuum container or on the tap or between the two, an organ is provided that ensures that during the pouring out,
that the flow rate of the suction medium and thus also that of the liquid is limited and thus withdrawn from the effect of the strong vacuum fluctuations over time, so that the flow rate remains below a predetermined limit, advantageously in the area of the weakest, i.e. the minimum required vacuum: the whole is such that the liquid flows directly from the storage vessel to the collecting vessel (e.g.
B. the drinking glass) without passing through the pump and the vacuum vessel. The limiting element can also be set with a satisfactory effect so that the vacuum in the line to the dispensing point is at most up to 70% greater than the minimum required, which latter is just sufficient to convey the liquid.
If the device is to be used for self-service, it must be trained accordingly in addition to the above; the juice lines will expediently be designed in such a way that they can easily be connected to the storage vessel (e.g. barrel) even by non-skilled personnel.
The drawing shows an example of this facility set up for self-service with a cash slot.
In Fig. A, 1 is a vacuum pump, 2 a vacuum reserve container, 3 an organ for setting, i.e. limiting the flow rate of the suction medium, 4 a Far_g- vessel, 4a a vacuum line, 5 a dispensing point, here with a coin-operated machine, 6 a liquid line, 7 a pin for connection by inserting the line 6 into the upper end of the dip tube 8 of the storage vessel 10. Instead of a pin 7, a cap 7a for connection by sliding over the upper end of the dip tube 8 can be seen before.
The connection is made quite simply by inserting the pin 7 or slipping the cap 7a over the immersion tube B. If the tap 5, which is not shown individually in FIG. A, is now operated manually or automatically, the vacuum line 4a is connected to the liquid The riser 6 is connected through the drinking glass 11 and the liquid is drawn up.
If the vacuum is high, the limiting element 3 comes into action in a known manner, for example by throttling the air sucked out of the vessel 11. 4 is a collecting vessel which serves to catch any liquid sucked into the vacuum line 4a.
For self-service, a very low-voltage electric circuit 12 is provided so that when a coin is thrown into a suitable opening 13, this coin closes or opens a contact due to its mass when it falls down, so that the bar is released in a known manner is, for example by means of an electromagnet or a small motor, (read acts on the cock plug.
This release of the bar consists simply in that, as soon as the receiving vessel 11 is pressed against the tap, (nasty things are brought into connection with the vacuum source and thus placed under vacuum, in such a way that the liquid from the line 6 and the storage vessel 10 is sucked into the vessel 11.
To make from two more electrical contacts 14 are provided on the ceiling, which, when the level of the liquid has risen sufficiently, are connected to each other through this; the current then flows through the liquid from one contact to the other, so that the control unit is closed again or the bar is blocked in a known manner, for example by actuating the above-mentioned electromagnet or turning the motor. From the seal of the receiving vessel 11 against the dispensing point 5 is done by pressing the vessel 11 by hand, or by spring 16, on which the vessel 11 is to be placed, or automatically,
against a rubber seal 15. If the pressing takes place automatically, when the coin is inserted, first the base 17 with the glass 11 placed on it is lifted up to the seal 15 in a known manner (magnet, motor, eccentric, etc.) and then the bar, as prescribed, approved. If the vessel 11 is sufficiently full, the bar is turned off, as described above, and only then is the under set 17 lowered. In this case, the spring 16 avoids a hard contact against the seal 15.
Instead of initiating the whole dispensing process with the means of the coin and performing it automatically, only any pawl could be released by means of the coin, so that the actuation of the electrical dispensing device is only released, but the dispensing is then done by hand in a known manner using the For example, a push button or lever etc. would have to be done.
FIGS. B and C show examples of tap taps for manual operation. In Fig. B two connecting pieces a, b and none in Fig. C are provided. The connection nozzles a, b are necessary for manufacturing reasons with glass taps for the purpose of better attachment to the dispensing column and connection to the two risers 4a and 6.
Porcelain and plastic taps, which can be cast from one piece and which are easier to attach anyway, can, where this seems favorable, also be carried out without connecting pieces. Both cock plugs have at least two channels or cavities c, d. At least one of these channels, namely the one for the suction medium, opens out laterally at e.
These cocks as well as the. Vacuum lines can be made of glass, synthetic glass, porcelain or other fruit acid-resistant and tasteless material. The cock plug according to FIG. B has a one-legged (one-armed) handle.
