<tb> urethanes, made <SEP> from <SEP>:
the <SEP> carboxylic acids
<tb> of <SEP> naturally occurring <SEP> or <SEP> hydrated
<tb> Greases <SEP> and <SEP> oils, <SEP> like <SEP> e.g. <SEP> B. <SEP> palm kernel fatty acid, <SEP> coconut oil fatty acid, <SEP> soy oil fatty acid, <SEP> hydrogenated <SEP> tran fatty acid <SEP> or <SEP> from <SEP> resins <SEP> or alicyclic compounds such as naplithenic acids, carbo @us acids of camphor, fenchons, etc., methylcarbamic acid methyl. -butyl-,
-decyl-, -undecvl-, -dodecyl-, -octodeeyl-. -oleyl ester usive.
For the acylation of the above urethanes, all halides are generally used. Suitable esters and hydrides of organic carboxylic acids containing exchangeable halogen atoms, e.g.
B. the halides, anhydrides or esters of α-halogen fatty acids, such as the 3lono- and I) ichloreso, igsäure, monobromosuccinic acid. a-bromo, uric acid, etc., but also substituted by halogen in other positions,
aliphatic or other organic carboxylic acid derivatives. Examples are the chlorides of benzyl chloride-4-carboxylic acid. the? -chlorobenzoic acid respectively. their substitution products, such as the 5 -, sulfo - \? - chlorobenzoic acid, etc.
The Xcyluretha.ne obtainable with the above halogen-substituted carbonic acid derivatives can be reacted with N-compounds because of the exchangeable halogen. Examples of suitable N compounds for: the reactions are: ammonia.
Mono- and dimethyl- or -ätliylainin, llono / di-Ä.tlianolamines, aminoacetic acid and derivatives, primary and secondary aromatic amines such as aniline and substitution products, piperidine and others.
Examples of these new acyl urethanes are: the decomposition products of N-chloroaceto-N-heptadecylcarliaininic acid alkyl esters with diniethylamine, dimethylaniline, taurine, etc.
Through the addition of tertiary amines such as trimethylamine, pyridine, dimethylaniline, triethanolamine, etc. or exhaustive Naeh-alkylation (also with polyoxyethylating agents) or Naeharall # .y lation of the finite ammonia,
Acyl urethane derivatives obtainable from primary or secondary amines by means of esters of low molecular weight alcohols such as dimethyl sulfate, etc., give compounds which are soluble in water because of the XIV atom. The new compounds, insofar as they are insoluble in water, are to be used as plasticizers as well as in the Iiautsclniks industry.
The water-soluble new compounds usually show pronounced capillary-active properties in aqueous solution, such as good sebum, network, and dispersion. Emulsifying properties, etc. Some of them are also excellent plasticizers for regenerated cellulose, etc. Finally, a number of the new products can be used as bactericides. Find fungicidal agents use.
In general, the new N-acyl urethanes can be produced by the action of halogenated fatty acid halides on urethanes at high temperature, if appropriate in the presence of inert diluents such as benzene, toluene, lylene, etc.
The acylation can also be carried out in the presence of acid-binding agents such as pyridine, diethy laniline and others.
The subject of the present patent is a process for the preparation of a water-soluble derivative of N-diinethylamino-aeeto-N-heptadeevl-carbamic acid diethyl ester, characterized in that N-dimetbylamino-aceto-N-lieptadecyl-carba-minsä.uremethylester z.
B. by reacting N-chloroaceto-N-heptadecyl earbaminsä ureniethylester finite dinietbylamine) treated with dimethyl sulfate.
The new compound is obtained as a semi-solid, waxy mass. which is easily soluble in water and whose solutions give cellulose regenerates and native cellulose excellent softness. <I> Example: </I> 88 parts of N-T) imetliylaminoaceto-N-heptadecyl-carbaniinsäureinethylester (manufactured e.g.
B. by reacting N-chloroaceto-N-lieptadecylearbaminsäuremethylester with di- iiiethylamine) are mixed with 15 parts of dimethyl sulfate and heated 1L) hours on the water bath. You get. a semi-solid, water-like mass which is easily soluble in water and whose solutions give cellulose regenerates and native cellulose excellent softness.
The methyl N-dimethylamino-aceto-N-heptadecyl-carbamate serving as the starting material can be prepared as follows.
50 parts of methyl N-chloroaceto-N-heptadecylcarba- nate are added dropwise to 150 parts of 20.4% aqueous dimethylamine solution. After the mixture has been stirred for 24 hours at 60 to 70, the deposited 01 is separated off, if appropriate by etherification.
