Der Handgriff 18 lässt sich so weit drnehen, bis der Daumen 15 der Sperrscheibe 14 mit seiner Bogenfläche auf die Anschlagschraube 16 auftrifft;
wodurch ein weiteres Zurückdrehen des Handgriffes 18 zunächst verhindert ist, was ein unbeabsichtigtes Löschen der Zündflamme verhindert;
die Sperrscheibe 14 selbst ist hierbei aus dem Verschiebungsweg des Anschlagtellers 17 herausbewegt. In der Folge ist -der Wasser- haha 2 zu schliessen,, worauf ernst der Gashahn 3 weiter zurttaheht werden kann;
Wenn zwecks Inbetriebsetzung des Gas- Badeofens zuerst der Wasserhahn 2 geöffnet werden sollte;
Additional patent to main patent No. 193287. Tap fitting for gas-heated liquid heaters. The subject of the main patent is a tap fitting for gas-heated liquid heaters, for example gas bath stoves, which has a gas tap with passage to the pilot burner and passage to the main burner and a locking and stop device on the gas tap and liquid tap.
The whole thing is designed in such a way that if the liquid tap should first be opened for the purpose of starting the liquid heater, the locking and stop device prevents the gas tap from opening, and the liquid tap must first be closed again in order to be able to put the liquid heater into operation, for which first the gas tap on connection of the pilot burner with the gas line is to be set, whereupon further turning of the gas tap is prevented according to the effectiveness of the locking and stop device, but this is switched off by subsequent opening of the liquid tap,
so that the gas tap can be turned further for the purpose of connecting the main burner to the gas line, whereupon the locking and stop device comes into effect again, and as a result, the opened gas tap must first be turned back to activate the locking and stop device device so that the liquid valve can be closed.
With this tap fitting, the liquid heater can only be put into operation by 1. supplying gas to the pilot burner, 2. opening the liquid tap and 3. supplying gas to the main burner. So it is, in contrast to known faucets for gas-heated liquid keitserhitzer a faulty switching both when starting up, as. made impossible even when the operation of the liquid heater is switched off.
Since only two organs (a grass tap and a liquid faucet) have to be actuated to start and shut down the liquid heater, an ent is required compared to the actuation of three organs (two gas faucets and a liquid faucet) required in known faucets for gas-heated liquid heaters Speaking simplification in operation achieved.
Furthermore, a structural simplification is made possible, and since there is only one gas tap, the number of points to be kept gas-tight can be reduced compared with known valve fittings, which is of great importance.
The subject of the present invention is a further design of the valve fitting according to the patent claim of the main patent. The invention consists in the fact that in the housing of the gas tap the openings of the ducts leading to the plug of the same to the pilot burner and to the main burner are so close to each other that the centri-angle which includes the part lying between the two openings is at most 20 ' and that the plug of the gas tap has passages of different sizes to the ducts to the pilot burner and the main burner, which passages merge,
so that they together form a single passage with different widths, the narrower part of which, after establishing a gas-conducting connection with the duct to the pilot burner, creates a gas-conducting connection with the duct to the main burner when the plug of the gas tap is turned further, whereupon the further part of the called passage with the channel leading to the main burner to interact.
In contrast to the arrangement of two separate gas passages in the plug of the gas tap, this allows the gas to be fed in more gradually and therefore more slowly in order to ignite the flames on the main burner.
This prevents the unpleasant phenomenon that arises with the known arrangement of two separate gas passages mentioned that the gas flowing out of the same and mixing with air is caused by sudden strong gas flows to the main burner (until the ignition of the gas)

<SEP> The <SEP> gas tap <SEP> 3 <SEP> is <SEP> designed as a <SEP> tab <SEP> <SEP> with <SEP> open <SEP> side <SEP> against
<tb> a <SEP> on the <SEP> main body <SEP> 1 <SEP> existing <SEP> pipe socket 8, to which the gas line is to be connected. In the wall of the plug of the gas tap two mutually different widths, mutually merging slots 9 and 10 are provided, by means of which via a channel 11 respectively. 12 of the main body 1 respectively the gas line with the pilot burner. associated with the main burner of the gas bathtub who can.
On the spindle 13 of the gas tap, a locking disc 14 is attached, the hub of which has a thumb 15, which is intended to cooperate with a stop screw 16 on the main body 1 to be ordered. An existing on the locking disk 14 finger 14 'serves to interact with a stop plate 17 attached to the spindle 4 of the faucet. The gas tap 3 is adjustable by means of a handle 18 (FIG. 1) firmly seated on the spindle 13, which can be adjusted with a pointer 19 is provided, which indicates the setting of the gas tap on a division of the housing wall 20 of the gas bath oven in question.
To put the gas bath into operation, the handle 18 is rotated from the rest position shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 in the direction of the arrow according to FIG. 2, until the pointer 19 is on the pilot light mark, whereupon the gas line passes through the slot 9 of the gas tap 3 and the channel 11 is connected to the pilot burner, so that the gas flowing out of it can be ignited for the purpose of forming the pilot flame. Here, the segment-shaped locking disk 14 is pushed with its circumferential surface on the circumferential surface of the stop plate 17 of the faucet 2 lying in the same plane, which prevents further turning of the handle 18.
The first thing to do is to open the faucet 2, which is done by turning the spindle 4 by means of the hand disk 5 accordingly. Here, the stop plate 17 of the faucet is moved in the direction of the arrow according to FIG. 1 out of the plane of the locking disk 14 out. After the tap 2 has now been opened, the handle 18 can be turned further so that the gas line is connected to the main burner first via the narrow slot 9 and the channel 12 and finally via the wide slot 10 and the channel 12, if the pointer 19 comes into the area of the main burner mark.
As can be seen from Fig. 2, makes the through the slots 9 and 10 together; ge formed the only D @ urcbliass, des, chick. the gas tap 3 approximately 2/3 the size, the chick.
Corresponding to this relatively long passage, one has a uniform radius. having peripheral part, the locking disk 1.4 has a central angle, which is approximately the same size,
how -the central angle of the passage formed from the seat strands 9 and 10 includes. By that. The to chick; the Gasha'hnes leading mouths of the other end to the pilot burner respectively. Channels 11 leading to the main burner:
12 are arranged side by side in the housing of the gas tap close ne, it is possible; with a. only get by for the same in the wall of the gas plug, tap 3. If. : the handle 1.8 in the mentioned:
Is turned out of the closed position, after a turn of approximately <B> 3.0 '</B> the narrow slot 9 of the gas tap is aligned with the narrow channel 11 leading to the pilot burner and after approximately another 1,
5 to a maximum of 20 'rotation in the area of the wide channel 12 connected to the main burner.
As a result, only a relatively small amount of gas flows through the slot 9 and the channel 12 to the main burner, until finally, when the plug of the gas tap 3 is turned, another slot 10 with your wide channel 12:
comes to work together. The size of the angle of rotation by which the plug of the gas tap .3 must be turned for this purpose means that a certain amount of time is required for this
in particular because you have to grip (wechoeln) the handle 18 with your hand after about halfway. While the narrow slot <B> 9 </B> is still in the area of the wide duct 12, the ignition of the flames on the main burner is already caused by the pilot flame,
at least over part of its focal area. As a result of the expansion of the selected slot 9 in the direction towards the other .Slot 10 (Fig. 3)
the plug of the gas tap, the spread of the ignition of the flames of the main burner over the entire burning surface before the mentioned wide slot 10 on the channel 12 comes into effect,
favored. As a result of the above-mentioned design, an overly abrupt transition from the narrow slot 9 to the wide slot 10 is avoided at the same time, as a result of which a sudden strong gas escape in the main burner is prevented.
The handle 18 can be drnehen until the thumb 15 of the locking disk 14 hits the stop screw 16 with its curved surface;
by adjusting this screw 16, the opening stroke of the gas tap can be changed ver for regulating the amount of gas flowing through to the main burner.
The “closed position of the gas tap. is given by the fact that a projection 2, 1 of the hub of the locking disk 14 is brought to interact with the arm 1 ′ of the main body 1 carrying the stop screw 16, as FIG. 2 shows.
If the gas tap 3 and the water tap 2 are open, the water tap cannot be closed immediately,
because he is secured by the locking disk 14 now lying in the displacement path of his stop plate 17 in the open position. The gas tap must first be turned back so that the flow of gas to the main burner is shut off. This is the case
when the locking disk 14 has been turned back so far that the finger 1.4 'protruding from the plane of the locking disk 14 hits the circumferential surface of the stop plate 17,
whereby a further turning back of the handle 18 is initially prevented, which prevents unintentional extinguishing of the pilot flame;
the locking disk 14 itself is moved out of the displacement path of the stop plate 17. As a result - the water - haha 2 has to be closed, after which the gas tap 3 can be seriously followed;
after the stop plate 17 when turning the hand disk 5 ″ of the faucet 2 in the closing direction out of the movement path of the finger 1,
4 'of the locking disk 14 has been pushed back. As a result, after turning off the tap, you can leave the pilot flame on or put it out at will,
For which latter purpose the gas tap is to be turned back completely from the previously mentioned intermediate position, i.e. to be closed.
If the water tap 2 should be opened first to start the gas bathtub;
and afterwards the handle 18 in the sense of opening the gas tap affects sore,
then the locking finger 14 'strikes the circumferential surface of the stop plate 17, which is now in its rotary path, where opening the gas valve makes it impossible:
As a result, neither the pilot burner nor the main burner can be connected to the gas line through the gas tap 3.
In order to be able to establish this connection, the faucet 2 must first be closed like that and then primarily the handle 18 must be turned until the locking disk 14 hits the stop light 17,
so that the pilot burner is connected to the gas line, whereupon the other circuits for starting up the gas bathtub can be carried out in the correct order.
