Freiluftöffnungen führenden Leitungen in Verbindung treten, derart,
Rotary slide control device for pneumatic sheet feeders. The known air control devices for pneumatic sheet feeders partly have a special control means for each nozzle to be controlled, partly they order a relatively large control stroke and the overcoming of large mass resistances. On the whole, the known devices for controlling the suction and compressed air from Bo are genanlegern very cumbersome and confusing in their arrangement.
Devices are already known in which the overall control is centralized. But even here a large number of control organs are still required. The invention aims to simplify the suction and blown air control of sheet feeders in the direction
that suction and blowing air are controlled by means of a single control means and with a relatively small stroke and a relatively large line cross-section, only low inertia forces occur.
According to the invention, this is made possible by the fact that two cavities of a cylindrical rotary slide on a base side of the slide are connected to the pressure and suction air supply lines and, in the course of a partial rotation of the slide, through channels opening on the peripheral surface to the various nozzles respectively. Connect lines leading to open air openings in such a way that
that suction and blown air are controlled according to the needs of the separation and supply process. This arrangement of the control device enables a substantial reduction in the mass resistances and large cross-sections of the control openings with a small stroke, since the control slots can be relatively narrow in the circumferential direction but can be of any size in the axial direction. It also enables
To control blowing and suction air simultaneously with the same control means, and finally, in cases where a device is provided to interrupt the automatic sheet feed by hand by switching off the entire air control, this interruption: by connecting suction and Bring the pressure side of the pump on the one hand and the suction nozzles on the other with the open air.
The drawing illustrates an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely Fig. 1 is an end view, Fig. 2 is a side view.
3 shows a side view of the connection surface of the frame walls after the control device has been removed; Fig. 4 to 8 show cross-sections of the control means in different positions of the same, which he explained in more detail in the description.
On one side of a frame wall 1. of the application device, a housing-like connection body 2 is attached, on the hollow spaces 3 and 4 to the pressure respectively. Suction side of an air pump leading connection lines 5 respectively. 6 are connected.
The hollow spaces 3 and 4 have openings on the connection side of the housing, which respectively with oval openings 7. 8 of the frame wall 1 are in connection. On the other side of the frame wall 1, a ge housing-like body 9 is attached to one side of the frame wall, between the walls running parallel to the frame wall a cylindrical bushing 1.0 open at both ends is inserted.
At the upper part of the housing 9 enclosing the sleeve 10, the lines leading to the blowing and suction nozzles of the sheet feeder are connected, namely a line 11 leading to the suction nozzles, a line 12 leading to the blowing nozzles for loosening the upper stacking layers and a Line 13 leading to the separating nozzles.
The suction line 1.1 is connected to the control slot 15 of the can 10 through a channel 14 provided in the housing 9, while the blowing line 12 rides through a channel 16 with a control slot 17 of the can and the blowing line 13 through a channel 18 with a control slot 19 of the cylindrical can 10 is connected.
At the lower end of the housing-like body, a blown air line 20 is connected, which leads to further blower nozzles, which can be arranged for example at the side of the stack for the purpose of feeding the Bo gene from the stack to the further conveying device, for example one Belt roller,
to support. This line is through a channel 21 provided in the housing 9 with a control slot 22 of the cylindrical sleeve 10 in connection.
Furthermore, a fresh air inlet 23 is connected to the lower end of the housing 9 and is connected to a control slot 25 of the cylindrical sleeve 10 through a channel 24 provided in the housing 9.
Each of the channels 14, 16, 18 and 21 of the housing is also provided with an open-air opening 26, which respectively opened by an adjustable screw plug 27. can be locked.
The sleeve 10 serves as a bearing for a rotary valve 28, one end side of which rests against the inside of the frame wall, while the other side abschnei det with the opposite outer wall of the housing. A screw 29 serves on the one hand to secure the bush 10 in the housing 9 and on the other hand to hold the rotary valve 28 in the bush by means of an overlapping washer 30.
The rotary valve 28 has several on the outside of the slide closed, but after the frame wall side open hollow spaces BEZW. Bores, namely a cavity 31 of oval cross-section from which two channels 32 and 33 opening onto the peripheral surface of the slide body branch off and a cylindrical bore 34 from which a channel 35 which opens on the peripheral surface branches off.
The rotary slide valve also has a cylindrical bore 36 which opens on its free outer side but is closed towards the frame wall side and has a channel 37 which opens on the circumferential surface of the slide valve.
The rotary valve is articulated by a bolt 38 attached to its free outside with a rod 39, which receives a reciprocating drive in some suitable manner and causes a swinging movement of the rotary valve ver, through which the various control slots of the sleeve together the lines connected to them by means of the radia len control channels and the axially parallel run the recesses and bores of the rotary valve with the lines leading to the pump Lei lines 5 and 6 respectively. connected to the open air, as required by the work of the sheet feeder.
4 to 8 illustrate, for example, the various successive positions of the rotary slide for a sheet feeder of the type in which the uppermost sheet is sucked and lifted by suction cups, while at the same time separating air is partially blown under the lifted sheet (Fig . 4), then, while the suction cups continue to work and convey the sheet forwards, the separating air is switched off and instead the side-mounted blow nozzles are turned anticlockwise:
(Fig. 5), then the side air is turned off and the air nozzles are placed to loosen the upper stacking layers while the suction effect still persists (Fig. 6), then the suction nozzles from the pump to deliver the sheet to the device conveying it further off and connected to the open air, while at the same time the suction side of the pump is connected to another open air opening and the loosening nozzles continue to blow (Fig. 7 ) .
From the position of FIG. 7, the slide goes back to the positions of FIGS. 6, 5 and 4 according to the requirements of the feeder, and the work cycle is then repeated. When changing from one control position to the next within a work cycle, only a small part of the actually small sliding stroke has to be managed.
In the position of FIG. 4, the glass air passes through line 5, cavity 3, opening 7 in the frame wall and opening 31 in the slide. Slide channel 32, control slot 19 of the sleeve 10 and channel 18 of the housing 9 to the separating nozzle line 18. The suction effect of the pump goes through suction line 6, cavity 4, opening 8 in the frame wall, bore 34 and channel 35 of the slide, control slot 15 of the sleeve and channel 14 of the housing 9 to the suction nozzle line 11.
In the position of FIG. 5, the rotary valve is rotated a little clockwise. As a result, the connection between the slide channel 32 and the separating air control slot 19 is interrupted and the connection between the slide channel 33 and the side air control slot 22 is established. The connection of the suction air slide channel 35 with the suction nozzle control slot 15 continues.
In the position of FIG. 6, the rotary slide is rotated further in the same sense. As a result, the connection between the blown air control channel 33 of the slide and the side air control slot 22 of the sleeve is interrupted, while the connection between the control slot is interrupted by the blown air control channel 32 of the slide 1'7 of the loosening nozzles and the compressed air line is established.
The suction nozzles are still on, but are about to be shut down.
In the position of FIG. 7, which corresponds approximately to the stage of the feeding process in which the sheet is released from the suction nozzles and taken over by the funds of the to casual, the suction line of the pump is through the bore 34 and the control channel 35 of the slide connected to the free air control slot 25,
while the suction nozzle control slot 15 is also brought into communication with the free air through the control channel 37 and the bore 36 opening towards the free outside of the rotary valve.
As FIGS. 4 to 7 show, there is a partial overlap of the slide cavities 31 for the blown air and 34 for the suction air with the corresponding openings 7 and 8 in the frame wall in each slide position.
The difference between the positions according to FIGS. 4 and 7 illustrates the greatest stroke of the rotary valve, which, as can be seen from the figures, is very small.
Fig. 8 illustrates an arbitrary Lich independent of the self-control of the machine by further rotation of the slide lever by hand beyond the position of FIG. 7 also to be brought about slide position in which the sheet feed is interrupted by stopping the air work. In this position, all nozzles are blocked from the pump.
In order to achieve idle work of the pump, the suction and pressure sides of the pump are connected to Freiluftöffnun conditions, namely the pressure line through the slide opening 31 and the slide control channel 33 with the open-air control slot 42 and an open-air channel 43 of the housing that connects to this 9 and the suction line through the bore 34 and the control channel 35 of the slide, the open-air control slot 25 of the sleeve and the channel 24 of the housing 9 with the open-air opening 23.
In addition, the suction nozzles are connected separately through the control slot 15 to the open-air channels 37 and 36 of the slide.
It is readily apparent that the control arrangement described can be used with a correspondingly changed arrangement of the control slots of the sleeve 10 and the control channels of the rotary valve even with a sheet feeder with slightly different nozzle work within a sheet feed process, especially for investors which are each provided with special suction nozzles for sucking off the sheet from the stack and for feeding the separated sheet to the belt roller.
The essence of the invention consists in the arrangement of the air control of a pneumatic sheet feeder, in such a way that all air connections and interruptions are made by turning a central organ designed as a cylindrical slide by means of radially arranged control slots and axially parallel channels.
