Auf der Zeichnung ist ein Ausführungs beispiel einer C-'reneratoranlage zur Durchfüh rung des beanspruchten Verfahrens darge stellt. Fig. 1 zeigt schematisch, zum Teil iin Schnitt, die Gasgeneratoranlage; Fig. ? ist ein Querschnitt durch den Gasgenerator;
Method for operating gas generator systems for vehicles, In recent times efforts have been made to move away from the use of <B> 01 </B> and gasoline. clear for the drive of vehicle engines. For this purpose, attempts have been made to produce gas from coal and wood in generators, which is used to drive the engines. The arrangement was usually made so that the generator system was arranged on the vehicle.
According to the invention, it is proposed to use coke as a raw material for gas generation and to suck a mixture of water vapor and air through the generator shaft with the help of the suction force of the engine. The advantages of this proposal are compared to the previously most used generators with wooden and charcoal operation mainly to be seen in the fact that the calorie yield is higher with coke,
wes half with the same engine power and the same fuel quantities, the coke gas drive has a larger radius of action respectively. the fuel requirement is lower than with wood and charcoal with the same engine power and the same action radius. Since the specific weight of coke is greater, it follows that the coke generators have smaller dimensions and weights than the corresponding wood gas generators under the same circumstances. Furthermore, coke results in little waste and good gasification.
A special selection of a type of fuel, as is the case with wood (beech), is not necessary. Wood also requires special processing such as shredding to a certain size, protection against moisture and fire-proof storage. In addition, careful monitoring of the tariff risk is required. These difficulties do not apply when the generator is operated with coke.
The invention also relates to a gas generator system on vehicles for carrying out the claimed method.
According to the invention it is proposed to adapt the gas generator to the requirements of driving that the gas has two gas extraction points which are arranged in such a way that only part of the coke column of the gases flows through during extraction from the one lower point, while at Extraction from the other upper point, the gases flow through the entire coke column.
Your idea of the invention is based on the knowledge that the fuel layer reaching down to the lower suction point enables a rapid formation of the reduction zone because of its lower height, because the pressure level to be overcome when the air is sucked in is lower. and because a smaller heat requirement for the drying and heating of the fuel is neces sary. It is therefore possible to obtain a usable gas very quickly from the lower suction point.
As a result, the lower suction is used to start quickly. on the other hand, the upper suction, which supplies a high-quality gas, is used while driving.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of a C regenerator system for implementing the claimed method is Darge. Fig. 1 shows schematically, partly in section, the gas generator system; Fig.? Figure 3 is a cross section through the gas generator;
3 and 4 illustrate the constructive configuration of a filter, namely Fig. 3 is a side view, partly in section along the line 1-I of FIG. 4, and FIG. 4 is a cross section along the line II-11 of the Fig. 3.
The gas generator consists of the ash pan e, the middle piece a and your upper part b. These parts have flanges that are connected to one another by bolts. The ash pan c is filled with water for the purpose of cooling the glowing residue that falls down. To prevent the water from lurching in disgust, is. a baffle plate <I> p </I> is provided. The plan grate <I> f </I> is. Can be pulled out through the fire door, which also serves as an ash door g.
In addition, there is a closable opening at the bottom of the ash pan for draining the water. The center piece a is provided with an opening o which makes it possible to insert a collecting device into the gas generator, which holds the coke and enables the grate to be cleaned even during operation. The middle piece a is designed as a double jacket tv filled with insulating compound which, like the ash pan, is lined with fireclay.
The upper part b has a filling chute e. which is equipped with a double lock to prevent the ingress of false air. The filling shaft can also be used as a storage container for fuel. A water container k and an evaporator <I> l </I> separated from it by a partition h are provided around the filling chute.
The opening of the control valve -ra causes the water to enter the evaporator, where the resulting steam is finely mixed with the air entering through the channel controlled by a valve a. This mixture is led through the pipes i (Fig.?) Under the grate, and it then passes through the coke column. To avoid condensation losses, the pipes i are laid in the insulating compound of the double jacket zo and the pipes are bent at the top and bottom for better guidance of the steam-air mixture.
According to the invention, two gas extraction points are provided; from the top the suction line r, goes off, from the bottom the suction line r_. A three-way valve t is provided at the point at which the two suction lines r and r2 open into the common suction line rs. Through this, the system can be set to upper or lower extraction or both together.
Furthermore, the three-way valve is designed so that the gas generator can also be blocked from the other parts of the system. While driving, the three-way valve t is set so that the gas formed leaves the generator at the top after flowing through the entire coke column and flows through the pipeline r "r3 and through the filters s" 321 s3 to the engine M. When starting up, the three-way valve set so that the gas flows through the pipes r2, r3.
To protect against a. If the pipes r1 and r2 are clogged when filling the generator, sieve plates q are attached, which at the same time serve to coarse the gas. The filters s 1, s 2 are arranged upright, which results in a more even and thus better filtration. The filter s1 is filled with coke and has a small water reservoir at the bottom.
The gas first flows through the water supply and then through the coke column. Through the pipe r4, which is laid inward to save space, the gas enters the filter s2, the structural design of which is shown in FIGS. 3 and 4. From the filter s2 the gas passes through the pipe r, into the fine filter s3 and from there through the mixing element <I> v </I> into the motor IIl.
The filter s2 has an elongated cylindrical housing A, which is divided by partitions E into individual chambers. The partition walls are respectively four pipes I '. G perforated, the cross section of which can be seen in FIG. The pipes F penetrate one partition wall, while the following partition wall is penetrated by the pipes G. The pipes are staggered and shifted against each other so that they almost reach the adjacent partition walls. The gas to be cleaned enters the filter through nozzle H.
The gases emerging from the first group of tubes F hit the first partition E. After being deflected here by <B> 180 '</B>, they flow back on the outside of the tubes F and become the tubes F bearing partition again deflected by 180. Only now can the gases enter the pipes G and in this way penetrate the first partition E. The same diversion process takes place in the chamber between this and the next partition and also in the following chambers. Finally, the gas leaves the filter through the nozzle I. The partition walls E are also broken through by a continuous pipe D through which a flow of cooling air is passed.
It is advisable to bend one end of the tube D on the outside and adjust it against the direction of travel so that an intensive air flow flows through the tube.
From a structural point of view, it is expedient to firmly connect the partitions to the central continuous tube D and to displace them in the housing A. After removing the locking piece C and loosening the cover screw, the pipe D can be pulled out at the same time as the partition walls E and pipes F and G and easily cleaned.
The operation of the gas generator system described is as follows: to start up a fire is made on the flat grate, then the generator is filled with coke through the filling shaft e with the double lock d open, and water is poured into the water tank k. Through the nozzle j (Fig. 2), which is closed during normal operation, with the help of a connected fan with the fire door closed g air is blown until the coke is brought to the glow of the wor, whereupon with the help of the control valve ra water with open Air valve m is added.
After about a quarter of an hour, a gas suitable for engine operation is formed. Now the fan is switched off, the double lock d is closed, the cock t is set to the lower suction and the engine is started. The system is now ready for operation.
The water valve n is controlled by the negative pressure in the suction line and is also adjustable by hand. The air valve m enables the air supply to be shut off completely.
If the engine is shut down, the generator is separated from the filters by turning the valve t, which prevents air from penetrating the filter when the double lock is subsequently opened and an explosion there itself. In this state, the contents of the generator can also be kept glowing overnight, whereby after pouring fresh coke the operability is restored in about 3 minutes even the next day after the fan has been activated. The resulting additional consumption of coke is minimal.
In the case of shorter stays, either the engine is set to idle, which enables immediate pus, or the same procedure is used as described in the case of a standstill overnight.
