Machine for cutting meat products and other items to be cut into slices. The present invention relates to a machine for cutting meat products and other items to be cut into slices, in which, with a frame with a support base for the items to be cut, a rotary knife and a stop plate arranged in a plane parallel to the blade for the items to be cut,
# as well as a carriage for feeding the material to be cut during cutting and means for driving the knife and for moving it transversely towards and from the material to be cut.
The purpose of the present invention is to improve such a machine in such a way that the material to be cut is cut evenly during successive cutting processes and in such a way that a surface of the same assumes a predetermined position relative to a cutting plane, and further that the labor required to operate the machine is kept to a minimum. Another purpose of the invention is to simplify the drive device for rotating the knife and for moving it back and forth,
so that independent propellants to cause rotation and reciprocation of the knife are avoided. According to the invention, a machine of the above type is characterized in that the knife is rotatably mounted at one point of a vibrating element, while at.
at a point of the said oscillating organ remote from this location, means are provided which enable an adjustable connection between the stop plate and the oscillating organ, said knife being controlled by a rotating transmission organ that can rotate around the oscillation phase of said oscillating organ Rotation is offset, and that further means are available
which can be actuated in accordance with the oscillating element in order to impart intermittent feed movements to the said slide. The drawing illustrates an exemplary embodiment from the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an end view of the machine from the side which is turned away from the side that is well receiving the vision; Fig. 2 is a horizontal section of the 34'I machine; Fig. 3 is a detailed elevation of the device for pivoting -the beam carrying the knife and the stop plate;
Fig. 4 is a detail elevation showing the means for advancing a carriage carrying the material to be cut on a base plate; Figure 5 is a left side view of Figure 4; Fig. 6 is a detailed end view of one side of said base plate illustrating means for disengaging the drive of the advancing device from said carriage;
Fig. 7 is an elevation of Fig. 6 Fig. 8 is a detailed horizontal section to show a device for a set of said stop plate relative to the knife for the purpose of changing the disc thickness, and Fig. 9 is a detailed plan to show a detailed variant of the Transmission device in which instead of the belt transmission, a gear train is sometimes used.
The machine frame comprises a base 1 (fix. 1, 2, 4 to 7) with longitudinal grooves 2 for the slidable support of rollers 3a, which are carried by a hanging side plate 3b of a slice slide .3.
Supports 4 carried by the base 1 carry at their upper ends a bridge 5 in which a shaft 6 of a vibrating beam 7, a shaft 8a with a pulley 8 for driving the said beam vibrating means and a shaft 9 with pulleys 10 and 11 for Transmission of the drive from an electric motor 12 to the shaft 8a and to a hollow shaft 13 are ge superimposed. The shaft 13 carries a belt pulley 14 for driving a rotary knife 15 carried by the beam 7.
The beam 7 is a mainly V -shaped arm which is attached to the end of one leg on the shaft 6 and in the knee of the 1T carries a pin 16 on which the knife 1.5 is rotatably seated. The one, the other leg is bent and a stop plate 17 is attached in this leg, against which the material to be cut is pressed when slicing. This stop plate is parallel to the plane of the cutting edge of the knife 15, but adjustable with respect to the same in order to be able to vary the slice thickness.
For this purpose, two parallel guide pins 1.8 (FIG. 8) are attached to the plate 17, which are guided in perforated eyes 19 of the beam 7. Furthermore, the plate 17 carries between these pins a short, screwed into a threaded eye 21 of the Bal kens spindle 210 with handle 22, whereby the plate 17 relative to the beam 7 can be finely adjusted.
The spindle 20 has a head 23, which is secured against axial displacement by two overlapping jaws 24 attached to the plate 17 by means of Nie th 2.5, but is rotatable.
To read the setting of the plate 17, a disk 26 with depressions 2, 7 is attached to the bar 7 and the spindle 20, into which a spring pin 27a mounted in the handle '22 can snap. These depressions can be provided with a scale in order to be able to read off the thickness of the disks to which the plate 17 is set relative to the knife 15.
When the material to be cut, e.g. B. meat, is placed on the carriage 3, it is pressed against the stop plate 17 and the motor 12 is started, causing the knife to rotate and the bar 7 to vibrate to bring the rotating knife into contact with the meat , wherein the plate 17 slides in front of the knife over the front of the surface of the meat.
The knife rotates in the direction of the arrow (Fix. 1), i.e. against the direction of oscillation of the bar 7, with the result that the knife cuts downwards into the meat, and the direction of rotation of the knife is complementary to its direction of movement of pivoting is. This results in a clean cut of the meat and prevents the knife from being sewn onto the meat if the knife is swung back before the next cutting process.
The knife is driven by means of a belt 28 which is placed on the hollow shaft 13 via a belt pulley 219 attached to the rear of the knife and the above-mentioned belt pulley 14. The latter rotates freely on the shaft 6 and is stored in bearings 3.0 in the eye 3'1 of the bridge 5 ge. The end of the hollow shaft 13 opposite the pulley 14 carries a pin pulley 32 over which a drive belt 3.3 is placed, which also runs over the pulley 1.1, which forms a piece with the pulley 10 and which is mounted in bearings 36 carried by the shaft 3 is.
The belt pulleys 10 and 11 are driven by the motor 12) through a belt 34 and a belt pulley 35.
The beam 7 is pivoted by means of a crank 37 at one end of the shaft 6, which crank carries a roller 38 at its end. This roller can be displaced in a slot 39 in one end of a lever 40 which, near its other end, can be pivoted around a pin 1-1 projecting laterally from the bridge 5. The lever 40 is caused to oscillate up and down around the pin 41 in that a crank pin 42 of the pulley 8 engages in a further slot 43 of the lever 40.
The water lever 40 is also used to gradually advance the carriage 3 against the stop plate 17, for which purpose the lever 40 is extended outward on the pivot pin 41 to increase the upper end of an approximately vertical link 43, the lower one End with one leg of a V-shaped lever 44 is connected. This lever is in the knee on one end of a feed screw 45 Tig. 4 and 5) stored loosely.
The other leg of the V-shaped lever carries a pawl 46 which engages in a ratchet wheel 47 attached to the front thrust spindle 45. The feed screw is threadedly engaged with a half nut 48 (FIGS. 6 and 7) which protrudes rigidly from a plate 49 supported on one side of the Schlit least 3. It must be ensured that the half nut 4: 8 can be lifted off the spindle 45 in order to release the slide 3 for quick adjustment of the displacement.
For this purpose, two pairs of slots 50 are made in the plate 49, through which four screws 51 screwed into the depending side plate 3b of the slide 3 engage. The plate 49 can be lifted through a lifting slot 5.3 of a pivot lever 54, wel cher lever is mounted at one end 55 in a set 52 of the side plate 3b and is seen at the other end with a handle 56 ver.
The handle 56 comes into engagement with a stop of the frame 1 when the leading edge of the carriage reaches a position close to the stop plate 17. to automatically switch off the slide from the action of the feed spindle and thus prevent the slide from contaminating the knife.
The deflection of the V-shaped lever 44 can be changed in order to have the effect that the carriage 3 is advanced for each feed movement by a step which corresponds to the setting of the stop plate 17 relative to the knife. For this purpose, holes 57 are provided in the lever 44 for the optional insertion of an axle pin 58 inserted through the lower end of the link 43.
The arrangement of the holes 57 is such that when the pin 58 is inserted into different holes 57, the lever 44 is given a different angular movement, and the designation, number and arrangement of the holes 57 correspond to those of the recesses 2,7 in the Washer 26. If desired, the setting of the pin 58 with that of the spring pin 27, by appro designated connection of both, z.
B. by a Bowden cable, automatically, with the pin 518 in a slot of the lever 44 against the pressure of a compression spring displaceable bar, instead of being used in separate holes.
In order to facilitate the passage of the knife over the meat, the knife (Fig. 2) is concave and covered on the concave surface with a disk @ 59, which is either attached to the pin 1,6, as shown, or on it can be loose, so that the knife can rotate relative to the disk 59, which ensures that the surface space prevailing in the cut surface of the meat presses against a non-rotating surface, which results in a clean cut of the meat.
To bring the number of pulleys to a minimum, the pulley of the motor 12 'can directly drive the pulley 32 of the hollow shaft 13, as shown in Fig. 9, and this shaft 1.3 can carry a gear wheel 60 which is in a the pulley 8 replacing gear 61 engages.
The carriage 3 slides on the upper surface before the base 1 and consequently the meat can be placed on .den the base 1 and, for. B. if a small piece of meat is to be cut, be pushed forward by the sliding carriage.
If a large leg of meat is to be sliced, the leg can be placed on the carriage and, if desired, means can be provided to hold it firmly on the carriage,
regardless of the direction of rotation and displacement of the knife, helping to lower the meat during slicing. A device for bringing down the meat can be a pair of stands 6,2 (Fis.
2, 6 and 7), on the ends of which a crosshead 63 with a lateral central shoulder 6.4 is slidably seated. In the middle of this since union approach a vertical threaded spindle 65 is threaded, the lower end of which is a plate 6,6 for pressing against - carries the meat.
This plate is supported by the lower end of the spindle 65 so that the plate can be set at an angle relative to the spindle 6-5, so that the plate can press on the upper part of a club and adapt to any irregularities in the shape.
Furthermore, when the carriage is used to push the material to be cut over the top of the base, the plate 66 can be inclined so that it lies against the rear end of the material to be cut.
