Nahbeleuchtung.
.die Möglichkeit hierfür kann aber vorgesehen sein. Wenn beim Einfahren in eine Kurve das Lenkrad des Fahrzeuges ge dreht und dabei der Schalthebel 20, zum Aus- schwenken ;
Headlight system for motor vehicles. The present invention relates to a headlight system for motor vehicles, which is equipped with at least one main headlight and with secondary headlights serving to enable cornering lighting.
Known systems of this type, one of which is illustrated in Fig. 1 of the accompanying drawings by the circuit diagram under consideration, have the disadvantage that when the lighting is switched on, various shunt currents occur, which if not a premature discharge, then a Depletion of the battery. In addition to two main headlights P, there are two secondary headlights p ', p ", which the latter are specially designed for cornering lighting. The axes of the secondary headlights are not directed parallel to the vertical center plane of the vehicle.
The device is designed in such a way that at night when driving a curve that one of the two secondary headlights is switched on in addition to the main headlights, which irradiates the route located on the convex side of the curve, which is done by means of a switch 20, which is controlled by an organ 21 of the steering device of the vehicle can be controlled, can be accomplished. Both the main and the secondary headlights each have two filaments rA and rB for remote and / or remote control. Close lighting. To switch on one or the other filament, a switch connected to a battery 25 with the two contact elements <I> A </I> and <I> B </I> is provided on the dashboard of the vehicle.
In this scheme, the current on the one hand, the main headlights P via points 1 or 2 and the wires a1 or. a2, on the other hand to the secondary headlights p 'or p "via points 3 or 4 and the wires a3 and a4 respectively. The sockets d of the main headlights, to which one end of the two filaments rA and rB is connected, have: the vehicle frame (mass 23) connected.
On the other hand, the sockets: the lamps of the secondary headlights are not connected directly to the frame of the vehicle, but rather through the wires a5 and a.6 to the contact elements 20a: respectively. 20b connected to a changeover switch, the switching lever 20 of which is connected to the vehicle frame (ground 24). Depending on the position of the switching lever 20, either one or the other of the lamps p ', p "is switched on.
In the Schaltzu shown in Fig. 1, the shift lever 22 is set to the contact organ A, while the shift lever 20 is in touch with the contact segment 20a, thus via the wire a5 with the auxiliary headlights p 'in connection; consequently, both the filament rA of the two main headlights P and the filament rA of the secondary headlight p 'are supplied with current from the battery 25.
Since the socket of the secondary headlight p "is also connected to the battery 25 via the wire a3 and the filament rA of this secondary headlight, the following electrical circuits are still present in the shunt: 1. first through the two secondary headlights p ', p ″ the circuit: battery 25, shift lever 22, contact element A, point 3, wire a3, filament rA and rB of the auxiliary headlight p ″, wire a4, filament rB of the auxiliary headlight p ', wire a5, contact segment 20a, gear lever 20 , Mass 24 of the vehicle frame.
2. In shunt with the circuit marked under 1: point 4, point 2. Filament rB of both main headlights, mass 23. It follows that both filaments of each lamp are continuously energized, which causes excessive power consumption.
However, similar conditions also exist when the shift lever 20 is in the disengaged position, because even then the filaments of the auxiliary headlights are still continuously flowing through with current.
This disadvantage of excessive Stromver consumption should be helped by the headlight system forming the subject of the invention. be prevented. An exemplary embodiment of such a system is illustrated by the diagram according to FIG. 2 of the specification.
Here, too, except for two main headlights P, the version of which is connected to the vehicle frame (mass 23), two auxiliary headlights p ', p "are provided, the optical axis of which is directed obliquely to the center plane of the vehicle, but their versions are not like that of the Headlights connected to the Fahrzaugrahmen, but are isolated from the latter, but are probably connected to at least one switch, the lever is connected to the vehicle frame.
All lamps of the four headlights are equipped with two filaments, one of which is intended for long-range and the other for close-up lighting. The main headlights P are fed with electricity from the dashboard of the vehicle. The energizing of one or the other secondary headlight is carried out via contacts of switching relays 26, which are switched into the circuits of the main headlights P, but the arrangement is such that the circuits of the main headlights are different from those of the secondary headlights <I> p ', p "</I> are completely separate.
These relays 26 should each interrupt lines through which no current should flow. The coil of one relay is connected in the connection line between the contact element A and the distribution point 1 of the line a, that of the other relay in the connection line between the contact element B and the distribution point 2 of the line a2.
When the pivotable about the pivot pin C connected to the battery 2-5 .Schalthebel 22 is applied to one of the contact members A or B, so either the filaments for long-range lighting or those for close-up lighting are at the same time on both main headlights P lit up.
The standing under the influence of springs 28 armature 2.7 of the two relays 26 are used to manufacture or position. Interruption of connec tions between one of the line points 3 or 4 and the auxiliary lights connected to the latter p 'respectively. p ″ on the one hand and the battery 25 connected to the vehicle frame (pale 36) on the other hand.
In the rest position, the armatures 27 keep the circuits after the secondary lights p ', p "interrupted. As soon as the switching lever 22 is pivoted out of its switched-off position and brought into contact with one of the contact members A or B, one of the two electrons is drawn magnet 26 to its armature, whereby one or the other of the lines a3 or a4 is connected to the power source 25. To avoid current loss, which could result from the fact that the other in a secondary circuit would flow through when switching on one of the auxiliary lights, circuit breakers 51, 52 are provided, which serve as contact levers with armature 27. Breaker 51 is connected to line a3, the other breaker 52 to line a4.
This allows the two auxiliary lights to be isolated from one another. To switch on one or the other filament of either the secondary headlight p 'or the secondary headlight p ", a switching lever, which can be actuated from the steering wheel of the vehicle by a driver element 21 and is in a conductive connection with the vehicle frame (earth 24), is used 20, which can coat one of two contact segments 20a or 20b, of which the former through the line a6 with the filaments of the secondary headlight p ',
the latter is connected to the filaments of the auxiliary headlight p "via the line a5. Only after the switching lever 20 has been pivoted to the left or right is the circuit to one or the other auxiliary headlight really closed and one or the other filament then lights up , depending on whether the switching lever 22 has been brought into contact with the contact element A or B. Furthermore, a manual or z.
B. by means of the brake pedal or another for the driving vorgese Henen device operable shift lever 33 available, which is connected to the vehicle frame (mass 36) and can be brought into contact with one or the other of two contact members 34, 35, of which the former (34) is connected to the line a6 extending from the contact segment 20a, the latter (3, 5) is connected to the line a5 extending from the contact segment 20b.
The switching arrangement with the parts 33, 34, 35 can also be set up in such a way that both side lights can be switched on at the same time if the driver wishes to irradiate the entire width of the driveway, i.e. to have the widest possible illuminated field in front of him. This switching device could be completed in such a way that one of the secondary headlights would be on with a strong light, the other only with a weak light.
The direction indicators can also be operated with both the shift lever 20 and the shift lever 33, if necessary.
The following information is also given about the mode of operation of the exemplary embodiment described: When driving straight ahead, the secondary headlights <I> p ', p "</I> do not need to be on at the same time as the main headlights p:
The possibility for this can, however, be provided. If when entering a curve the steering wheel of the vehicle turns ge and the shift lever 20 to pivot out;
is brought, so in each case the one secondary headlight is switched on, namely when entering a curve running to the right ver the left (p '), when driving into a curve running to the left, however, the right secondary headlight (p ").
As soon as the steering wheel is turned back to "drive straight ahead" after driving through the curve, the relevant secondary headlight should go out again or complete with the help of the above-mentioned:
Switch gear only burn with weak light. At least one low side headlight should also light up when the brake pedal is stepped on and the shift lever 33 of the switch 33, 3.4, 3.5 connected to the latter - as mentioned - is actuated becomes. When the main headlights are switched off, the secondary headlights are also switched off at the same time.
However, the device can also be set up in such a way that when the main headlights for long-range lighting are on, the secondary headlights only burn with a small light calculated for close-range lighting.
Under certain circumstances, the arrangement of only one relay is sufficient, the coil z. B. could be turned on in the connecting line between the Kon tact organ A and the point 1 of the line a1 and its anchor would form the contact lever of a two switching Stel lungs having switch. These two switch positions could th z. B. be chosen so that for one, when the shift lever 22 z. B. is applied to the contact organ B, the relay would be de-energized, the point 4 of the line a4 with the pivot point C of the shift lever 22 in connec tion would come, so that the filaments of the auxiliary headlights for near lighting would be under voltage.
In the other switching position, in which the shift lever 22 is applied to the contact element A, the point 3 of the line a3 would be connected to the pivot point C. In order to be able to switch off the secondary headlights during the day in this embodiment as well, when the switching lever 22 touches neither one nor the other of the contact elements A, B, a secondary switch could be vorgese ben.
