Stafenloses Geschwindigkeitswechselgetriebe.

Im Tragring 3,9 sind auf Achsbolzen 40 Planetenräder 41 .gela- geTt, welche um ein Zentralrad 42 kreisen., ,das auf dem Ansatz,3,7 des Gehäuses 2 ver- keilt ist, und welche ausserdem mit einem Innenzahnkranz des Gehäuses. 3 kämmen;
Am Gehäuse 58 ist der Sta tor eines als Flanschmotor ausgebildeten Elektromotors 67 starr befestigt, dessen Welle 68' einerends in der innern,Stirnwand .des Gehäuses ;5i8 und, andernends im gewölb ten Lagerschild 69 des Motorgehäuses dreh bar gelagert ist;
Gearless speed change transmission. The present invention is a speed change transmission with which a stepless change in the speed - transmission ratio between the driving and the driven shaft of the transmission can be made, and which z. B. in Kraftfahrzeu conditions, as well as in stationary Antriebsmoto ren, machine tools, etc. can be used.
The speed change gear according to the invention is characterized in that the same has a gear part for the mechanical transmission of the entire torque of the driving shaft, the driven shaft, which is formed so that it emits a free torque component, which the device for stepless Changes in the speed of the driven shaft influenced, with means being provided to either adjust the speed of the driven shaft accordingly,
the torque transmitted by the same automatically, or by external actuators: to regulate arbitrarily, or to be able to carry out both types of regulation.
The speed change gearbox is suitably equipped with a reverse drive connected to the driven shaft when used for motor vehicles.
The regulation of the speed. B. by means of oil pressure control gear or electrical cal control motor, but could also be mechanical, z. B. by means of an adjustable friction gear.

In the embodiment of the speed change gear for a motor vehicle shown in FIGS. 1 to 6, M is the motor housing of the same, from the end of which the driving shaft W emerges.
The speed change gearbox connected to this shaft W has a housing which is composed of the main parts 1 and 2, and the latter is followed by the reverse gearbox with the housing 3 surrounding the output shaft A coaxial with the shaft W. Between tween the two housings 2 and 3, the transmission is mounted in a fixed part F of the chassis frame or motor housing.
On the end of the shaft W, a spur gear 4 is wedged within the housing 2t, which meshes with two diametrically opposed to the spur gears 5 mounted on axes 6 in the housing 2. Smaller spur gears 7, which mesh with a central spur gear 8, are firmly connected to these spur gears 5.
This sits at the end of a hollow shaft 9 carrying a worm wheel 10, which is rotatably mounted on the motor shaft W by means of a bushing. The worm wheel 10 is in engagement with two diametrically opposed worms 11, the axes 12 of which are stored transversely to the axes 6 in the housing 5.
On the outer ends of these worm shafts 12 toothed pinions 13 are wedged (Fig. 5 and 6), which mesh with a spur gear 1.4 lying in the middle between the two, which together with a bevel gear 15 on a housing 2 parallel to the axes 12 mounted stub axle 17 is wedged.
Opposite this stub axle 17, a counterweight 18 is attached to the housing wall. The bevel gear 1.5 meshes with a larger bevel gear 16,
which is wedged within the housing 1 on a .the shaft W rotatably surrounding the hollow shaft 19. As can be seen from FIGS. 1 to 3, the housing part 1 is eccentric to the shaft W.
On the hollow shaft 19 sits a rotor 2.0 with four abge seals in the housing 1 running, sliding in slots of the rotor body slider blades 2'1, which are connected in pairs by connecting pieces 22 (fix. 3) arranged on the end faces.
In the lower part of the housing: 1 there is a control cock 2 , 13 which dominates the liquid annulus. The entire space between housing 1 and rotor 20 is filled with oil, which comes from the storage space 24, which is provided with an oil filler nozzle 26, through openings 2a in one partition between the storage space and the liquid ring space on the suction side of the latter gen can.
On the Draekseite, a safety valve 33 is in the partition.
On the shaft 23'a of the control valve 23 led out to the housing 1, a bevel gear 27 is attached to the outside of the end face, which meshes with a bevel gear 28, the axis of which is mounted in a support arm 29 attached to the end wall of the housing 1 and on the inner end of a toothed tooth '30 carries (Fig.
1 and 4), which engages in a parallel to the shaft TV directed rack 31, which is attached to a sliding on the shaft W long engagement sleeve 32. In the oil storage chamber 24 of the housing 1, an idling clutch is arranged for connecting the motor shaft W to the gearbox during start-up. The same is designed as a cone coupling and consists of a slidable on the shaft W wedge. th coupling sleeve, 34 and a coupling ring 35 wedged onto one end of the hollow shaft 19 of the rotor 20, from which the coupling sleeve 34 is held in the disengaged position by the release spring 36.
If the engaging sleeve 32 is shifted towards the clutch, it engages the same against the force of the spring 36 and '' connects here through the motor shaft W to the hollow shaft 19. The shifting of the engaging sleeve for coupling the clutch is activated when one of the drivers is released seat arranged pedal P causes by means of a transmission linkage Gk, the end member of which engages on the heel part of the pedal P, while the gas control linkage G on the tip part of the pedal. attacks, so that these 'two control processes can be accomplished with one and the same foot.
The arrangement shown has the effect that the clutch is only engaged when the gearbox is in neutral, i.e. when the gearbox is in neutral. H. With completely free oil circulation in the oil gear, before the low pressure of the heel part: the pedal P of the control path 2: 3 is completely open and the idle clutch 34, 35 is engaged, so that the starting engine is opposed to the least resistance.
If you want to throttle the oil circulation by closing the control valve 23 for the purpose of switching on a smaller translation, then you never press the pedal P, the control valve 33 closes accordingly and the idle clutch is disengaged at the same time by the spring 3.6.
The housing 2 has a sleeve-like extension 37 at one end, in which the front end of the output shaft A is supported and which is rotatably supported by means of a bushing in a wedge sleeve 3 8 fixed on the bearing part F. A support ring 39 is longitudinally displaceable on this sleeve 38; but not rotatable.
Planet gears 41, which revolve around a central gear 42, which is wedged on the extension 3, 7 of the housing 2, and which also have an internal gear ring of the housing, are on axle bolts 40 in the support ring 3, 9. 3 comb;
. Inside the wedged on the shaft A housing '3 a ver sliding coupling sleeve 43 is keyed on this shaft, the internal teeth by displacement, the sleeve can be brought into engagement with the central wheel 42, so that they together men with the wheel 42 forms a toothed coupling , if the support ring 3-9 is as shown in Fig.
1 position indicated by dash-dotted lines. To move the coupling sleeve, a driver 45 is attached to one of the axle bolts 44, which engages with its free end in a circular groove of the coupling sleeve 43. In the driver's seat, a reverse pedal Pr is attached, the linkage G ring 39 engages on an arm of the support. In the position of parts 39 to 44 drawn with full lines (: see Fig.
I) the direction of rotation of the housing 2 is transferred to the output shaft A by reversing the parts 4'2, 41 and 3. If, by stepping down the pedal Pr, the support ring: 39 is moved into the position shown by dash-dotted lines, the wheels 41 come out of engagement with the housing 3; for this, however, the toothed coupling 43, 42 is engaged, as a result of which the rotary movement of the housing 2 is transmitted directly to the output shaft A.
The mode of operation of the speed change gear described is as follows: The rotary movement of the motor shaft W is transferred to slow speed by: the double planetary gear 4, 5, 7, 8, the worm gear 10, 11 and its housing 2, which is transmitted to the drive shaft A directly via the tooth coupling 42, 43; or indirectly via .the wheels 41, 42 and the housing 3 can be connected.
The pitch of the worm 11 results in: the axial load on the worm a circumferential force on the worm in the direction of rotation of the size P - Q tg (a-9), where P is the circumferential force, Q is the circumferential force on the worm wheel, a is the pitch angle of the Screws and o is the angle of friction. This circumferential force respectively. the same corresponding torque is transmitted through the spur gear-bevel gear transmission 18, 14, 15, 1 (6 and the hollow shaft 19 to the rotor 20 of the Ölgetrie bes, which can rotate as quickly as desired, as long as the control valve 2113 is open because the oil can circulate freely here.
The idle clutch 34, 3.5 is turned on in the rest position of the pedal P and the linkage Gk, so that the engine has no other resistance to overcome except for the frictional resistance in the gear unit and the flow resistance of the oil. The translation between the rotor shaft 19 and worm wheel 10 is selected to be so large that with one revolution of the rotor shaft 1'9, the shaft W also makes one revolution in the same direction. The motor shaft can now turn at any speed without the output shaft taking part in the turning movement (idling). The oil container 24 is filled to about 3/4 s of a volume with 01 .
As long as the control valve 23 is open, the worm wheel 10 is rotated via the spur gear-bevel gear transmission and the worms in the drive direction of rotation compared to the housing 1, 2, so that a drive effect on the worms from the side of the worm wheel and the housing does not occur 1, 2 does not turn, d. H. the motor shaft W can rotate as fast as desired, there is always the ratio 1. oo.
If you now close the level cock 23: by partially depressing the pedal P more or less, the oil circulation is throttled and at the same time the idle clutch 34, 35 is disengaged. The rotor 19 now rotates less quickly, the relative speed between the motor shaft and output shaft is reduced, and .the output shaft and .das housing 1, 2 are set in rotation accordingly.
Due to the influence of the centrifugal force, the 101 is pressed outwards here and flows through the inlet openings 25 also onto the suction side of the rotor, so that it is always completely filled with oil.
If you close the .den by fully depressing the pedal. Rule tap 23. the oil circuit is completely interrupted, so that the rotor 2.0 can no longer rotate with respect to its housing, and there is a rigid connec tion between the motor shaft W and the housing 1, 2 respectively. the output shaft A.
Of course, both in this position and in all intermediate positions, a further speed regulation by means of the mixture supply to the engine is through. Operation of the tip part of the pedal P possible.
As soon as the torque taken from shaft A is greater than that which can be outputted by the motor shaft W at a certain speed, the pressure valve 3.3 opens as a result of the excess pressure in the oil pressure transmission and leaves a certain amount of oil pass into the oil storage chamber 2'4. As a result, the rotor can rotate 2.0 and the output shaft A is driven with a correspondingly lower number of revolutions.
In this way, ..sch results in an automatic load control in the transmission to protect against damage in the event of overload or for automatic downshifting on inclines.
The pedal P is of course provided with return springs that are not provided. The speed regulation could also take place automatically as a function of the output torque, in that the control valve 2.3 is rotated from a shaft 47 via a pair of spur gears 46, 48. and thereby more or less throttles the oil circulation. The rotation of the shaft 47 could take place in such a way that the worms 11 are axially displaceable against a return spring and one of the worms actuates a linkage during the movement, which causes the rotation of the shaft 47.
It goes without saying that both types of control can be used at the same time.
While in the embodiment described, for example, the speed control is carried out by hydraulic means, happens .dies two examples described below according to FIGS. 7 to 13 by an electric motor.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 7 to 10, a slave disk 51 is wedged on the motor shaft W, which is inserted together with an outside on the housing of the worm gear mentioned below on the ordered ring 53. and between the two parts 51, 5'3 Lock rollers 54 and springs 5.5 forms a freewheel of a construction known per se (Fix. 8 and 10).
In the same way as the disk 51, an inner driver bushing 52 is provided with cams, locking rollers and springs located outside the housing 5, which bushes with the last-mentioned parts and the disk 51 together second freewheel forms. On the inner driver bushing, which can rotate freely about the shaft W, sits a worm wheel 5, 6 which meshes with two worms 57 which are diametrically opposed to one another.
Each worm sits on an axle pin 5,9 which is mounted transversely in the housing 58. One end of the one axle bolt (Fix. 9) rests in a bush 79 mounted in the housing wall, on which the screw 57 is wedged in a longitudinally displaceable manner.
The axle bolt is supported axially in the position shown on the sleeve 79 with a collar 59b, which at the same time rests on the worm, which is fastened to the axle bolt with a cross wedge.
A helical spring 60, which surrounds the axle bolt, is inserted into a bore at one end of the worm, which is supported on the inner housing wall and tries to close the worm in the position shown in FIG hold.
At the end opposite the bushing 79, the axle bolt 59 has a joint head 59a protruding towards the housing 5, 8, on wel chem, the arm 61a of an angle lever 61 mounted on the outside of the housing 58 at 62 engages. On the other axle bolt 59 (whose worm is non-rotatable, but against the action of a spring -60 slidably mounted.
On the protruding to the housing end of the sleeve 79 respectively. of the one axle bolt, 59 a spur gear 63 is attached, and .the two spur gears of both .Schnecken mesh with a .stirnrad 64 (fix. 9) mounted between them.
The stator of an electric motor 67 designed as a flange motor is rigidly attached to the housing 58, the shaft 68 'of which is rotatably mounted at one end in the inner end wall of the housing; 5i8 and, at the other end, in the arched bearing plate 69 of the motor housing;
within the latter, the collector 70 is also attached to the shaft. On the opposite end of the shaft 6 & a bevel gear 65 is keyed, which meshes with a not shown bevel gear, which sits together with the .Stirnrad 64 on the same axis and the connection between,
the motor shaft 68 and the worms 57 produces, in a similar manner as described in the most recent example.
The end shield 6.9 of the motor has a centrally attached hollow shaft 80, on the end flange of which the shaft to be driven is set, and a shorter sleeve 71 concentrically surrounding the hollow shaft. On the hollow shaft. & 0, two slip rings 72 are attached by means of a support disk, each of which is supplied with power by means of brushes 73.
Within the bushing 71, a rheostat 74 is attached to the hollow shaft, and the contact slide for this opposition is. @duTCh a sleeve 75 which is longitudinally displaceable on the sleeve 71 and on which the contact spring 76 is fastened in an isolated manner. On the sleeve 75 engages the actuated from the pedal of the driver's seat, the linkage Gk of Fig. 1 corresponding Ge linkage Gm.
In addition, a two-armed lever 77 is mounted on an arm 69a of the bearing plate 69, one arm of which engages the sleeve 75 and the other arm is connected to the arm 61b of the angle lever 61 by a connecting rod 78.
The mode of operation of the embodiment described is as follows: The drive shaft W transmits the torque via the freewheel parts 5,1, 54, 52 to the worm wheel 56 and from this to the: Worms 57, the housing 58 of which is rigidly connected to the output shaft 80. The worm gears are in turn connected to the rotor shaft 168 of the motor 67 via the spur gear-bevel gear reduction described.
If the electric motor is not switched on; The drive torque is transmitted directly via parts 5, 1, 54, 52 and 57 to: the housing 58, which is rigidly connected to the motor housing carrying the hollow shaft 80, creating a direct connection between the motor shaft W and the driven shaft (e.g. B. Cardan shaft).
If the electric motor was 6.7 on the regulating resistance 7.4; switched on, the worm wheel is rotated in the drive direction via .the bevel gear-spur gear reduction 63, 64, 65 and .the worms 5, 7, so that the: driven shaft rotates more slowly than the drive shaft, i. H.
an intermediate speed is switched on. The electric motor and the translation of the helical-bevel gearbox are dimensioned so that at maximum speed of the rotor of the electric motor opposite its housing, the latter drives the worm wheel at the speed that is equal to the maximum speed of the drive shaft W, so that between driving and driven shaft the translation 1: @o exists.
Here, thanks to the freewheel, the worm wheel can rotate up to the maximum speed of the shaft W without this shaft W being taken along by the electric motor. The engine of the vehicle can therefore run at maximum speed and the latter can stand still.
By appropriate setting of the series resistor 74, the speed of the electric motor can be reduced and thereby also the relative speed of shaft W and driven shaft, so that an intermediate speed is switched on.
By changing the speed of the rotor of the electric motor in relation to its housing, the driven shaft can be achieved with any intermediate speed from 0 to the maximum with a rigid connection of the two shafts (driving and driven Wave) runs.
It is also possible, by reversing the direction of rotation of the rotor of the electric motor, to increase the relative speed between the two shafts in the sense that the driven shaft rotates faster than the drive shaft, i. H.
It allows you to achieve an overdrive speed, although the electric motor is dimensioned and designed to be correspondingly powerful.
Of course, a single screw would also suffice, the centrifugal force of which could be compensated for by a compensating weight arranged opposite it.
Starting up the engine and driving the vehicle is as follows: When the starter is switched on, the electric motor 67 is switched on, which causes the worm wheel 56 to rotate at maximum speed in the direction of the drive.
Thanks to the freewheel 52, 54, 55, 51, the worm wheel 56 can rotate in this direction without the motor shaft W rotating. The variable resistor 74 is short-circuited here so that the electric motor runs at full speed.
To start off. With the drive motor running and the electric motor 67 switched on, the sleeve 75 is moved by means of the foot pedal and the transmission linkage G. and the resistor 74 is switched on. So that the speed of the electric motor 67 respectively. whose rotor is reduced accordingly and, as a result, the relative speed between the driving and driven shaft.
As soon as the speed of the drive motor is greater than that of the worm wheel 56, the rollers 54 of the freewheel 51, 54, 55, 52 are stuck and the cardan shaft is driven on.
The return springs 60 assigned to the worms 57 are dimensioned so that they see torques occurring on the driven shaft which are greater than. that of the drive motor, press together. When the springs are compressed, one axle pin 59 is pushed outwards with the joint head 59a and causes the sleeve 75 and the contact spring 76 to shift via the connecting rods 61-78-77, which changes the voltage supplied to the electric motor and therefore its rotor speed is, whereby the speed of the driven shaft changes automatically accordingly.
When going downhill, the cardan shaft drives the motor and this acts as a brake. For this purpose, the outer freewheel 51 is. 54, 5, 15, 3 are provided, the rollers 54 of which jam as soon as the cardan shaft acts as a driving force, and the motor shaft TV is then inevitably mutated. A reverse gear transmission can also be provided, similar to the embodiment described first unless the electric motor itself is designed so that reverse gear can be switched on through it (see above).
In the embodiment described, the electric motor acts the speed regulation; here the pitch of the screws 57 must not exceed. be equal to the angle of friction so that the rotor of the electric motor is not driven by the worm wheel.
However, the design can also be such that the electric motor acts as a brake: in this case, the helix angle of the worms must be greater than the angle of friction, depending on the desired braking effect of the motor.
11 to 13 show a variant of the embodiment according to FIG. 7 to 10. Here, a pinion 81 is wedged on the end of the motor shaft W protruding from the motor housing M. Furthermore, a worm wheel 5, 6 is rotatably placed on the motor shaft, which worm wheel engages two worms 57, which are arranged parallel to one another in the worm gear housing 58. The entire design of this worm gear and the worm bearing is exactly the same as described above.
The electric motor .6,7 is, however, attached to the side on an extension 58a of the worm gear housing 58 so that its shaft 68 is perpendicular to the motor shaft W and the drive from the spur gears 63 directly. takes place by means of a spur gear 64 which engages in the latter and is wedged on the shaft 08. A lateral extension 53: (Fig. 13) of the worm wheel 5i6 forms the outer race of a freewheel, which is formed in the same way as described above with locking rollers 514 and springs 5, 5 inserted between drivers of the hub 83 (Fig. 1, 3).
On the hub 8,3, sits a disc with internal ring gear 83a, with wel chem two planetary gears 82 mesh, which revolve around the central gear 81 and are mounted on 84 sen Sen, which are fixed in a support plate 85. On the hub 8,3, sits laterally a disc with internal ring gear 83a, with wel chem two planetary gears 82 that revolve around the central wheel 81 and are mounted on Ach sen 84. The support disk sits at the end of the hollow output shaft 9, which is mounted coaxially with the motor shaft W in the housing 58 and at the end of which the end of the motor shaft W is centered with a guide pin.
On one arm of the worm gear housing 58, an angle lever 61 is mounted at 62, on one arm of which the joint head 59a of the one axle bolt 59 engages and the other arm actuates a variable resistor 90, which is arranged in the motor circuit as a series resistor.
When the electric motor is at a standstill, the ring gear disk 8-3a and the worm wheel 56 are also at a standstill. The motor shaft W drives the planetary gears via the central gear 81, as a result of which the support disk 85 and thus the output shaft A are rotated. The speed ratio in the planetary gearbox always remains the same, so that the rear axle respectively. Front-axle transmission has to be geared down accordingly.
Starting the engine, starting up and speed control takes place in the same way as in the previously described embodiment. At the same time as the starter is switched on, the electric motor 67 is switched on, which rotates the worm wheel 5,6 against the direction of rotation of the motor shaft ZV via the parts 64, 68, 57. Thanks to the freewheel, the motor shaft W can rotate as quickly as desired until the speed is reached at which the freewheel rollers 54 jam and the freewheel engages.
In the borderline case, where the electric motor is running at full speed, the motor shaft W can also run at full speed without the shaft A rotating. By regulating the speed of the motor by means of voltage regulation through the variable resistor 90, which takes place through the movements of one axle pin 59, the speed of the driven shaft A is now automatically and continuously changes according to the torque to be transmitted: ge. You can of course also provide the necessary means to. The resistance was 9! 0 can also be regulated by means of the pedal linkage.
If the pitch of the worm teeth is sufficiently small to achieve self-locking, any continuously variable electric motor can be used. However, if there is no self-locking, the motor must act as a brake and be designed accordingly. To start and stop, the control resistor is actuated by a pedal by means of a linkage (not shown).
As in the embodiment just described, a reverse gear could also be connected to the shaft A here. Instead of the electric motor, an oil brake transmission similar to that used in the embodiment described first could be provided.
Instead of the spur gear planetary gear 81, 82, 83, a double bevel gear could be provided according to Fig. 1,4. Here, a bevel gear 86 is attached to the worm gear 56 and the motor shaft W carries at its end a crosshead 88 in which two bevel gears 87 are stored, which are diametrically opposed to one another and with. the brick wheel 8,6 and also mesh with a bevel gear 89 which is wedged on the end of the output shaft A, which is mounted coaxially with the motor shaft W in the housing 58.
Individual speed change transmissions described above offer the following advantages when used in motor vehicles: The speed of the motor vehicle can be increased continuously from 0 to the maximum speed given by the drive power.
The coupling between the motor and the drive shaft is no longer required.
The drive motor can run at full speed when starting up and accelerating, so that the car can be accelerated with the maximum engine power and speed, which is of great value in difficult terrain and especially with racing cars, but also in city traffic with many Forced hold allows a significant gain in time.
The operation of the vehicle: is significantly simplified, since shifting and clutching are no longer necessary, and instead of the clutch pedal required for gearboxes, a combination pedal for simultaneous control of the mixture supply and the gearbox can be arranged so that the vehicle speed can only be used can be adjusted arbitrarily with a single foot. The hands never have to be removed from the steering wheel, which increases driving safety.
The change gear enables the lowest possible driving speed at high engine speed. Gradients can be overcome that can no longer be mastered with the usual gearboxes in first gear.
The automatic shift results in a further simplification in: driving the vehicle. No additional movement is to be made when driving uphill. The engine can always run at a favorable speed, and the speed is controlled automatically, depending on the incline, for faster or slower travel. The driver can therefore concentrate all his attention on the steering: the car.
The efficiency in direct gear is 100.%, Because in: this gear a rigid connection is established between the driven shaft and the driving shaft, with no parts moving relative to one another.
The change gear can be retrofitted in any existing car who, if desired with: combined an additional overdrive.
The manufacturing costs of the gear change are not higher: than those of a normal gear with clutch.
No additional overdrive needs to be installed. The ratio between the motor shaft and the rear axle can be selected so that when the direct connection between the drive motor shaft and the cardan shaft is switched on: the additional ratio of the overdrive through appropriate dimensioning of the rear axle resp. Front axle drive is achieved.
