Device for pushing the resistance of insert filters, as well as potash or other cartridges. The invention relates to a device for -Hessen the resistance of insert filters, as well as potash or other cartridges and consists in that a BEZW at one end to an adjustable resistor and at the other end to the filter to be measured. The tube connected to the cartridge is also connected to a pointer anemometer at both ends,
that both the front of the resistor and the front of the filter respectively. Back pressure occurring in the cartridge is transferred to the pointer, which remains in the zero position with the same back pressure.
A finely perforated sieve can be used as a resistance, the sieve openings of which can be more or less covered by a non-perforated wall that is slidable on the sieve.
The sieve is advantageously designed as a cylinder, over which a cylinder that is not broken through can be moved and in which a second cylinder is arranged that forces the air to rise within this cylinder and in the cavity between the sieve cylinder and the inner cylinder and downwards to flow outwards.
The space between the inner cylinder and the screen cylinder can be filled with a filter material, in particular glass wool.
A bellows can be used as the air delivery device, which is stretched by means of a lever that can be actuated by hand, then triggered automatically and compressed under the pressure of a spring.
With the resistance meters previously used, you always had to install a special air flow meter. With the new ohmmeter this is not necessary because .the resistance can be calibrated at an air volume of 30 1 / min and then can be used for all air speeds.
This makes the construction and operation much easier. The resistance tester also has the further advantage that the actual ohmmeter does not need to be filled with liquid.
The use of a bellows, which collapses under the pressure of a spring, has the advantage that a uniformly flowing air stream can be generated. The drawing shows an embodiment and a detailed variant of the new device, for example, namely FIG. 1 shows a view of the device, partially in section,
and FIG. 2 shows the detailed variant.
According to Fig. 1, the air is supplied with the aid of a rubber bag provided with lip valves d .Through the pipe a, both to the filter to be tested c. And to the counter stand b. Both in front of the filter c and in front of the resistor b there is a back pressure which is transmitted through the pipes p and q to the pointer s of the anemometer e.
If the backwater is the same on both sides, the pointer remains in the zero position, otherwise it deflects to the right or left, depending on the backwater in front of the filter or. Cartridge or before the resistance. Is larger.
As can be seen from FIG. 1, the resistance consists of the inner cylinder h, the finely perforated. Sieve cylinder f and the sliding full-walled cylinder g. Between the cylinder f and the cylinder h there is a filter layer i, through which the air must pass.
By moving the cylinder g, more or fewer sieve openings can be covered or exposed so that the resistance can be easily regulated. The level of resistance can be read on a scale r.
The variant of the air delivery device according to FIG. 2 has a bellows m, which is stretched with the aid of the angle lever n against the action of the spring o.
The short, fork-shaped leg of the angle lever n. Presses against two 'pins u. Located on the end wall of the bellows. As a result of the circular movement of the short lever leg, it finally slips off the pins u and releases the bellows, the then; under the pressure of the spring o returns to its old position, pushing a certain amount of air in front of it at a certain speed.
The air flow is roughly uniform, since the greater spring force (initially) corresponds to the greater friction in the leather bellows and vice versa.
