Die Zeichnung veranschaulicht eine bei spielsweise Ausführungsform desselben. Fig. 1 ist ein Grundriss der Fussstütze gemäss der Erfindung mit aufgeklebter Deck sohle von unten gesehen, Fig. 2 ein Längsschnitt der Fussstütze ge mäss der Linie D-D der Fig. 1 unter Fort- lassung,der Decksohle;
Pad-like footrest. The subject of the invention is a pelotte-like footrest, which is intended to fill the space of the longitudinal and transverse arch of the foot lying between the first and fifth metatarsal heads and extending from these to the metatarsal 3 and which has an asymmetrical basic shape, the outline of which forms a closed curve takes a concave course on the inside of the foot, roughly following the inner sole boundary,
while its outer boundary line is convexly curved and is made up of individual curved sections that merge seamlessly into one another.
The new footrest is generally intended to support the forefoot and metatarsal arches and can be used advantageously in the treatment of so-called foot tumor. It can be permanently incorporated or glued into the footwear or designed as an insole and can also be combined with other shoe insoles, for example arched or arched foot insoles.
In medical as well as lay circles, the term "foot tumor" is the pathological swelling of the soft tissue that is located in the metatarsal and forefoot and in the advanced stage protrudes over the metatarsal heads, the tread area between the first and fifth metatarsal heads thickened so much
that the patient's toes are free in the air and cannot touch the ground even when stepping on. Well-known scientists have established that the swelling of the soft tissues of the metatarsus, the thickening of the metatarsal heads and the associated periosteum inflammation are caused by the spasm of the interbone muscles. The interbone muscles are apparently the focus of the disease.
The patient then feels the pain every time the foot is wrapped; when the double bone muscles their strong pull on the periosteum or. Exercise muscles at the points of origin or attachment of the interbones.
With every pressure on the pathologically flattened metatarsus, namely on its head, a strong pull is exerted on the points of origin and attachment, which are in the metatarsal bones on the phalanges of the toes, and this triggers a spasmodic state.
The object of the invention, due to its peculiar shape in plan and curvature, serves to weaken the strong pull of the interbone muscles against the periosteum that causes the spasm.
The drawing illustrates an embodiment of the same with example. 1 is a plan view of the footrest according to the invention with a glued-on deck sole, FIG. 2 is a longitudinal section of the footrest along the line D-D of FIG. 1, omitting the deck sole;
3 illustrates cross sections of the footrest at three different points of the same, drawn in the outline form indicated by dotted lines.
The footrest shown represents an asymmetrical body, the curvature of which takes from a highest point in the foremost third of the supporting body in such a way that it gradually descends on all sides, so that it lies between the first and fifth metatarsal heads and from this to the metatarsal root - is able to fill the joint extending space of the foot longitudinal and foot transverse arch both in terms of area and height.
The cross-section of its transverse curvature is strongest at A-A (Fig. 1) and its longitudinal arch line D-D runs in a curve approaching the course of the inner boundary line 2-2 of the support body.
Its transverse arch, which comes to lie under the second and third metatarsal bones and is most strongly developed at about A = A, falls off left and right towards the first and fifth metatarsal bones.
The longitudinal vault has its highest elevation at the intersection of A-A and D-D (Fig. 1 and 3) and gradually flattens out to tip rounding 3 down to 1: or 1/4 nm.
For many years, find probably round, oval and heart-shaped, pelotte-shaped support body for splayfoots, made of rubber and the like or made of metal driven ben, use that have the purpose of preventing the flattening of the front transverse arch. Because of their unsuitable symmetrical shape and the lack of a curve in the longitudinal direction, they are unable to fill and support the longitudinal arch of the metatarsus.
They are therefore also unsuitable, .the cause and the complaints of the foot tumor or. to prevent over-tensioning of the considerable interbone muscles. In the case of swelling of the foot, attempts have hitherto been made to relieve the foot of the cramp-like pain by resting it, using compresses and the like.
The illustrated footrest causes relaxation in a simple, natural way by bringing the base of the entire metatarsus including the adjoining anterior tarsal knuckles and including the heads as well as the basic limbs of the second, third and fourth toes into their physiological position, and here they are too full load on the foot as well as when it is rolled while walking in it.
By correcting the longitudinal and transverse arches of the metatarsus, the new footrest causes a normal distribution of the swelling caused by the Lsiden. It pulls the thickened soft tissues from the front, that is, from the base of the toes and the metatarsal heads backwards.
This reduces the strong bulge; the highest phalanxes of the toes return to their physiologically correct position, or approximately to it, so that the phalanges of the toes come back to the ground when standing and walking.
The -N # @ arching up of the foot removes the unnatural load on the basic limbs and restores the natural static relationship. This correction easily causes the relaxation of the affected interbone muscles and prevents the strong pull of the latter BEZW at their approach. Attack points.
The new footrest can consist of a single full or hollowed out, perforated or porous piece of suitable material. It can also be multilayered, the upper layer softer and the lower layer harder and, by arranging suitable penetrations a (Fix. 1), made air-permeable, particularly flexible and also absorbent.
It can be made of a soft and elastic material such as rubber, in particular sponge rubber, and can also be exchangeably inserted into a special pocket of an insole or provided with a special, suitably perforated insole. It can also consist of a closed pillow with suitable filling.
Finally, it can also be combined with insoles, for example arched and arched foot insoles, because it often happens that the foot swelling occurs as a result of the foot's dissolution and change in shape.
