Zeitschalter.
Fig. 3 ist eine Draufsicht bei abgenommenem Zifferblatt.
Will man nun mittels der Schaltuhr z.

Time switch. The invention relates to a time switch ter, with a drive, such as clockwork, electric motor, synchronous motor or the like chen, the drive being installed both in the switch housing, as well as arranged outside the same and coupled to the drive device in the time switch. The time switch according to the invention has the purpose of performing switching processes at predetermined times and is characterized in that part of the switch housing is designed as a ring, through whose rotation the time can be set at which a switching process takes place. should.
The timer according to the invention is, for example, for automatic on and off th of radio systems and other electrical apparatus, as used in Ilaushaltungen, z. B. by electrical stimulation pads or cooking appliances, and is usually served by laypeople in these cases. The arrangement of a rotatable housing ring in the subject matter of the invention for setting the switching times is a great relief in the opera tion.
In the drawing, the subject of the invention is shown in two exemplary embodiments. It shows Fig. 1, the timer of the first embodiment in front view and Fig. 2 partly in longitudinal section, partly in side view. Fig. 3 is a plan view with the dial removed.
FIG. 4 shows a partial section through this time switch on an enlarged scale. In a second embodiment, FIG. 5 shows the part of the movement actuating the contact device in a plan view. Fig. 6 is a plan view of the movement with the dial removed, and Fig. 7 is a partial longitudinal section.
The switch housing has the lower part 1, which contains the clockwork and .the switching mechanism, and en as a housing ring formed upper part 2, which is rotatable on the lower part and is intended to set the switching time. Inside the ring opening covered by a sight glass 3 is the dial 4. The outside process when setting a certain switching time takes place in such a way that, by turning the adjusting ring, a mark 5 is placed on its inside, which is in the area of the dial is on: the desired time is set.
By pressing a button 6, the switch-on time is fixed by means of an actuator.
The switch itself is mounted on a disc 7 which sits on: the axis 8: the hour hand. It consists of two pairs of lamellae 9, to which the current is fed through slip rings on the underside of the disk 7.
The lamellas of each pair spring against each other and have contacts at their free ends. The contacts expediently consist of two double-cone-like contact pieces 10 made of noble metal, directed against one another, between which, when the circuit is open, a separating knife 45 pin isolating the two cone parts from one another is pushed. The knife can swing about an axis 11, which is seated on an arm 12 of the disk 7 and is pressed between the contacts by a spring] F '.
If the 1LTesser swings out against the action of the spring in the direction of arrow 14, the contact pieces 1.0 can spring together and close the circuit. This swiveling out of the knife should now take place, automatically controlled by the clock, at a predetermined time.
For this purpose, an outwardly protruding stop 15 is connected to the knife, which, like the whole switch, is drcht along with the hour hand and assumes its extreme position in the position of the knife shown in FIG. 3. If a counterstop 16 is brought into the path of this stop, then the stop 15 deviates when it is moved past its counterstop and swivels the switch blade in the direction of arrow 14 so that it is between the contacts is brought forward and the contact closes as a result of the spring pressure of the lamellas.
The swinging out of the cutting knife takes place against the action of the spring 13, so that it is tensioned in the process. If the lever arm 15 (FIG. 4) slides from its counterstop, the separating knife 45 slides under: the action of the spring between the contacts and, due to its knife-like front edge, which momentarily separates the contacts, releases the arc quickly Bring extinction.
The relative wear of the counter strike 16 to the dial of the clock determines the time of activation. If this point in time can be selected at intervals of five to five minutes, you need twelve per hour, i.e. 144 counter-stops for a full revolution of the hour wheel, which can optionally be brought into the path of the stop 15. The desired counter-stop is to be pressed in by an actuator on the housing ring 2.
The standing member consists of a push rod 17 provided with a button 6, which protrudes through the ring wall into the housing interior and acts on a one-armed ITebel 18 pivoted on the wall. When the button 6 is pressed, the lever 18 is pivoted against a return spring 19 into the interior of the housing. -This end hits the head of a rocker arm 20 mounted in the lower housing part and also pushes it into the inside of the housing.
The foot of the rocker arm, which is penetrated by the bearing axis 27, contains a notch 21 into which a bend 22 of a spring 2-3 jumps into the rocker arm's standby position. If, however, the rocking lever is swiveled from the standby position into the interior of the housing by pressing the button 6, the bending 22 comes out of the notch 21 and comes to rest on the roller part 24 of the foot. The part of the spring containing the bend is also pressed into the interior of the housing.
The free end of the spring is extended to form a tongue which forms the counter arm 16 for the arm 15 of the cutting knife. By actuating the rocker arm 20, the counter-stop 16 is pressed with the spring 23 into the interior of the housing and into the path of the stop 15 and the switch is actuated in the manner already described. If the stop 15 and the counter-stop have passed each other, the rocker arm must be automatically reset to the ready position.
This purpose is served by a resilient stop 25, which is seated on the arm 12 of the disk 7 and acts directly in a restoring manner on the rocker arm 20 pivoted from it. Of course, each of the 144 stops 16 is assigned a special rocker arm.
When setting the clock hands to the rihti-e time, it often happens that the hands are turned in the opposite direction. The stop arm 15 of the cutting knife is therefore to be designed in such a way that when the pointer is turned back it can pass its counter stop 16 without operating the cutting knife.
It expediently consists of a pawl, which is limited in one direction by a pin # 10, but which can swing out in the other direction against the action of a return spring 41. If the pawl is now moved clockwise past the counter-stop 1.6, it rests on the pin 40 and is held rigidly so that it takes the cutting knife with it when it is diverted.
However, if the pawl is rotated past the stop in the opposite direction, it evades while tensioning the return spring 41. The rocker arm can thus be turned into the standby position even when the pointer is turned backwards. The resilient stop 25 is equipped with two symmetrical running surfaces, of which the corresponding direction of rotation always comes into effect.
By means of this stop, any number of rocking levers located in the stop position can be opened by a single full turn of the hour hand. be returned to the standby position.
Since such Se-Haltuhren are mass-produced, the assembly must be extremely simple, but still guarantee high precision. In order to meet these requirements, whoever presses the slots 26 located radially in an annular shoulder of the lower housing part, which receive the foot ends of the rocking lever. A wire ring 27, onto which the levers 2 0 are threaded, serves as the axis of rotation for the rocking levers.
The ribs 28, between which the slots are excluded, have on their upper edge grooves 29 which bil in their entirety a row of grooves concentric to the housing, in which the wire ring 2,7 is inserted and in which it is held by fastening clips.
The springs 23, which carry the stop 16 at the top, are also housed in the slots 26 and are supported at one end on a ring 30 inserted into the housing, the -die .Schlitzmündungen on the inside. Covered lateral surface of the rib body. The springs 23 can also sit on a common, ring-shaped carrier with which they are made from a single piece.
The lower part of the housing with the ribbed body is expediently pressed in one piece from insulating material, which on the one hand provides protection against contact and on the other hand ensures a uniformly precise product.
The upper ends of the rocker arms 20 are guided in radial slots 31 of an annular plate 32 , @dio my groove 3,3 is inserted into the upper end face of the lower housing part. The central recess of the ring 32 is covered by the dial 4.
The head of the rocker arm 2, 6, has projections 35 directed towards the inside of the housing, with which it, when it is swung out of the standby position, over the Zif ferblatt, so that it is visible from the outside of the dial in a curved Zage and you can check which switching times are set.
The rocker arms 20 must be able to move easily in their slots: and therefore have some play. This game, however, makes it difficult to put the ring plate 32 on, since the rocker arms then do not all coincide simultaneously with the corresponding slots in the ring plate. To counter this, notches are pressed into the upper edge of the lower housing part, which center the rocker arm in the ready position.
If you want to use the timer z. B. turn on a radio at a certain time, so one sets: the mark 5 of the collar 2 'on the desired point on the dial and presses the button 6, which swings the corresponding rocker arm 20 for the respective position. The extension 35 of the pivoted lever is visible above the dial.
Precise adjustment can be facilitated by the fact that corresponding notches 36 are pressed into the outer surface of the lower housing part, into which a spring 37 located on the inner surface of the adjusting ring jumps.
The spring is held by an angle 42 which engages with one leg in a groove 43 on the outside of the lower housing part and prevents the housing ring from being pulled off.

But you can also connect the device in the usual way by means of a cable to the plug-in contact and equip the clock with the half part of a plug-in contact, the opposite half-part of which sits directly on the device to be switched.
With a two-pole time switch, the plug contact must of course be four-pole, since it has to take care of both the supply and the discharge of the current.
The apparatus according to the invention is advantageously suitable for switching radios, heating pads, cooking appliances. Man

The corresponding embodiment is shown in FIGS. 5 to 7, for example. To drive the contact device, the spring mechanism 46 is used, which drives a disk 47 via a gear train, which carries a locking pin 4.8. A rocking lever 49 resting on the locking pin prevents the disk from running off. The rocker arm is pressed by a spring 50 against a non-circular disk 51 which sits on the axis of a wheel of the disk 47 before.
The non-round disk was created from a circular disk by cutting off two segments and accordingly has two points with a smaller distance from the axis of rotation than the radius of the circle that has remained. In the rest state, the lever 49 rests on a straight section of the disk.
If the lever is lifted off, it releases the locking pin 48 and the disk 47 is rotated a little by the spring mechanism via the gearwheel, until the end of the lever 4.9 comes to rest on a second pin 65 of the disk 47, which is slightly further from the axis of rotation than the pin 4.8. Through this .Stift the lever 49 locks the device until its actuator from the rocker arm 20 respectively. has slipped from the stop operated by the rocker arm.
At this moment the end of the lever can swing towards the center of the disk 47, where the lock is released and the disk 47 is set in rotation. The disk 51 also rotates and the lever 49 comes into contact with the circularly curved part of the disk circumference, where its end interacting with the disk 47 is moved radially outwards and the pins 48 and 65 are brought out of the path.
Only when the lever comes to rest on the second straight section of the disk does it sink back into the initial position and its end enters the path of the locking pin 48 so that the rotation now comes to a standstill. The disk 51, which performs only half a rotation during the entire process, is used to carry out the switching process. For this purpose, the disk carries a semicircular bead 52, on which an angle lever 58 is pressed by means of a spring 54.
The free end of the lever carries an isolie-generating switch blade 55 which interacts with the contacts 56. If the angle lever rests on the bead 52, the separating knife 55 is outside the contacts and these are thus closed; but if the locking of the work is released by a rocker arm 2-0, the disk 51 and thus the bead 52 rotates by 180, the angle lever slides off the bead and pushes the separating knife between the action of the spring 54 the contacts 56 so that they are interrupted.
The next indented rocker arm 20, which triggers the device, again causes the unround disk to rotate 180 °, so that the angle lever slides onto the bead while the spring 54 is tensioned , pulls the isolating knife out of the contacts and closes the contacts. Thus, each one moved rocker arm 20 transfers the device to the switching state opposite to the previous one.
If the contacts were open, the engaged swing lever causes the contact to close, the next swing lever again causes an interruption, etc. It is therefore for an operating time of one hour, e.g. B. between 11 and 12 o'clock, only necessary to engage the rocker arm that corresponds to the time at 11 o'clock and the lever that corresponds to the time at 12 o'clock, so that the contact remains closed for an hour.
In order to let the engaged rocker arm on the release lever 49 take effect, a toothed wheel 5 7 is loosely mounted on the axis of the hour wheel, which is coupled to the release lever via a pin 58. If the toothed wheel is turned a little in the direction of the arrow (Fig. 6), the release lever is actuated and the contact is switched.
With .the axis of the hour wheel, an arm 59 is firmly connected, which carries an angle lever 60, the lever 20 protrudes with one end in the area of the engaged rocker. If the lever 60 is rotated by the hour wheel axis past an engaged rocker arm 20, it is swung out so far that it engages with its end in a gap in the toothed wheel, takes it with it and thereby triggers the switching process in the manner described. Naturally, each rocker arm must have a gap in the serrated wheel.
There are therefore also 14.1 points to be arranged with 144 rocker levers.
The resetting of the engaged .Schwing- lever 20 takes place automatically by the angled lever 60. It should be noted that the resistance of the rocker arm 2.0 to resetting is greater than the resistance of the toothed wheel when the switching device is triggered.
It is often also advantageous to sound an acoustic signal while the switching process is being carried out. For this purpose, a ringing mechanism consisting of the clapper 62 and the bell 63 is actuated by a wheel 61 seated on the axis of the disk 47. A timer equipped in this way can also be used without being connected to a power source, e.g. B. use as an alarm clock.
The respective .Schaltstatus can be seen in a window of the dial, namely, by a mark 64 placed on the cutting knife and moved with it. If this appears in the dedicated window of the dial, this means that the switch contacts are closed.
The dial itself is advantageous un dependent on the ring 32, executed, which contains the radial slot guides 3.1 for the rocker lever 20, so that you can dismantle the clockwork with dial for yourself without having to remove the guide ring from the assembly is tedious, since all rocker arms have to be inserted into the associated slots first.
