Gekapselte Steckvorrichtung.
Encapsulated connector. The invention relates to plug-in devices: in an encapsulated design. These plug-in devices consist of a socket and a plug.
According to the invention, the housing of one part of the plug-in device has stops that interact with the housing of the part not provided with stops, such that when the plug is inserted into the socket, contact between the insulating base of the two parts carrying the contact parts is prevented. This avoids mutual damage to the insulating base of both parts.
In the drawing, a Steckvorrich device according to the invention is provided as an example. Fig. 1 shows the socket in a section and Fig. 2 shows a plug in a section.
The socket housing 1, which is made of cast iron or, if necessary, of molded insulating material, is equipped with a gland entry 2. The opening for a lead of the plug is obliquely downward ge tends and is located in a Halsähn union part 3 of the housing. If the socket is to be connected to a continuous line, the socket is advantageously provided with a second gland entry 4,
the wall on one side between the neck-shaped part 3 and the rear wall of the housing is arranged. Over the opening for inserting the plug sits the cover 27, which is also inclined and which is sealed with the aid of a rubber seal and is expediently provided with drip edges. The insulating base 5 is designed in such a way that the connection terminals 6 are easily accessible from the cover opening.
The connector sleeves 7 are from the back of the base .in the protruding used the base part and are in connection with the terminals 6. The connector shown in Fig. 2 ent holds in the usual way inside its made of cast iron or molded material Housing 8, the insulating base 12, which carries the plug pins 9, the connection terminals 10 and a clamp (not shown) for strain relief. At .Steckerkkörpers 8 sits a protective collar 11 which surrounds the connector pins.
In order to prevent the insulators 5, 12 of both parts from colliding and damaging each other when the plug is inserted into the socket, a stop 13 is advantageously provided on the housing 8 of the plug, which abuts against the edge of the socket when the plug is inserted . The stop 133 is arranged on the plug in such a way that contact of the insulating parts of both parts of the connector is prevented.
The stop can also be located on the housing of the can, e.g. B. in the space between the insulating base 5 and the neck-shaped 'Heil 3 of the housing, which is used to receive the protective collar of the plug. In this case, the stop interacts with the protective collar of the plug.
Advantageously, on the socket and the plug, the space used to accommodate the connecting lines is sealed against the outside by the insulating base carrying the contact parts and an elastic intermediate body. The housing of the plug and the socket on the inner wall is advantageously provided with a circumferential projection on which the insulating base rests with the interposition of a rubber seal. In the drawing, the circumferential jump and the sealing ring of the socket are denoted by 14, 15 and the corresponding parts of the plug with 16, 17.
At, _der box is, the insertion opening for the plug by a resilient hinged lid 18 closed. The cover 18 is articulated to be movable on an arm 19 which can be rotated about hinge 20. The hinged lid 18 is advantageously provided on the inside with a soft rubber plate 21 which, in the closed position of the lid, lies against the insulating base -5 of the can.
The openings for the plug pins located in the insulating base are sealed off in a watertight manner by the soft rubber plate. The insertion opening of the socket is surrounded by a protruding edge 22 which serves as a drip edge. In order to be able to close the hinged lid with a lock, a bore 23 is seen on the drip edge 22 '. The bore 23 is arranged in such a way that a padlock 24 can be inserted through it when the cover is closed.
The clip on the trailer lock prevents the hinged cover from opening.
If the plug is inserted into the socket from below, there is a risk that the plug will come out of the socket by itself if it is jolted. To prevent this, the resilient hinged cover 18 is advantageously designed as a pawl and, when the plug is inserted, engages with a protrusion 28 behind two lugs 25, 26 located on the outer wall of the plug. In this way, the inserted plug receives a secure hold in the socket and cannot make any undesired movements in the socket.
