In.
Fig. 5 entspricht Fig. 3, und Fig. 6 der Fig. 4.
Device on explosion engines for admitting fresh air into a mixture intake line provided with a throttle when the throttle is closed. The invention relates to a device on explosion engines for admitting fresh air into a mixture intake line provided with a throttle with the throttle closed. The device is suitable for all explosion engines, regardless of whether they are equipped with a carburetor that gasifies liquid fuel, or with gasför moderate fuel is used. It is already known to let fresh air into the mixture line in explosion engines.
Such devices serve one another purpose, namely to regulate the composition of the fuel-air mixture, while the invention applies to a device which only lets the fresh air into the mixture line when the throttle is closed. The invention is used with particular advantage in the operation of motor vehicles. It enables a significant fuel saving here. As is well known, a relatively large negative pressure is generated by the engine when driving downhill, whereby a large amount of fuel is sucked into the cylinders, which is not needed there.
The suction takes place with the throttle closed through the bypass channel provided for idling. The same overconsumption of fuel occurs at a much higher number of revolutions and therefore to a greater extent when the car is suddenly stopped at high speed, for example when entering bends.
In order to prevent excessive intake of fuel, according to the invention, two air inlet openings are provided in the mixture line behind the throttle, which are controlled by a double seat valve that is actuated by a control device connected to the throttle linkage. In the closed state, the valve plates are flush with the wall of the mixture line. The invention causes a cooling, especially in heavily used engines.
It also avoids in gas engines with a throttle dominated mixture intake line pulling 01 into the combustion chamber with the throttle closed, which occurs in particular with engines that have been in operation for a long time and have no absolutely tight piston or piston. Have more piston rings.
The actuation of the valve for the fresh air can be effected by an electromagnetic, mechanical or pneumatic arbei tend control device.
The drawings relate to execution examples of the invention, namely FIGS. 1 and 2 show a device with an elec trically acting control device for motor vehicles with open BEZW. closed throttle valve. FIGS. 3 to 6 show two additional devices which prevent the motor from stalling.
In FIGS. 1 and 2, 1 is the air intake connection of the intake line 7, in which the fuel nozzle 2 is located, which receives its fuel from the float housing 3 with the float 4. In the mixture line 7, the throttle valve 6 is seated on the axis 5. This is opened by means of the rod 26 against a tension spring 63. The closing spring 63 could also be a spiral spring which sits on the throttle valve axis 5.
The mixed line 7 has two air inlets behind the throttle valve 6: openings 8, which are provided by a double seat valve with two valve plates 9 on a valve spindle 10. In the closed state, the valve disks are flush with the wall of the mixture line 7. The valve is under the action of the closing spring 11 with the abutment 12. The valve spindle 10 carries a disk-shaped armature 13 and a cone 14 at one end.
The disc-shaped armature 1.3 works together with an electromagnet 15 which is attached to the mixture line.
So that an exact closure of the side wall is always achieved, one of the two valve disks 9 is expediently arranged displaceably on the valve spindle 10 and is under the action of its own closing spring.
A second electromagnet 16 is also provided, the armature 17 of which is rotatable about an axis 19, is under the action of a train spring 20 and a locking lug 18 for the cone 14 carries. Furthermore, a contact device is provided with a central contact 21 connected to a battery (not shown) and two fixed contacts 22 and 23 through the line 33.
The middle contact 21 sits on the leaf spring 214, which carries a sensor 25 made of insulating material at its free end, which works with the cone 14. The throttle valve axis 5 is operated with the rod 26, which carries a frame made of insulating material in which two contacts 30 and 31 sit and a lever 32 is rotatable. The lever 32 is closed to the under the action of the return spring 28 accelerator lever 27 to.
The lever 32 carries a con tact 29 which cooperates with the contacts 30 and 31 and is connected to the ground 40 through the line 39. From the contact 22, the line 34 goes via the electromagnet 16 'to the contact 31. The contact 30 is connected to the contact 23 by the opening line 316, an intermediate line 37, the line 38 and the coil of the electromagnet 15.
During operation, the pedal 22 is operated in the normal manner and gas is ben. The throttle valve 6 is opened according to the position of the pedal 27. All parts are in the position shown in FIG. If the foot pedal 27 is released, the throttle valve 6 first closes under the action of the spring 63.
Afterwards, the lever 32 is switched over under the action of the spring 2.8 and since the contact 2.9 is connected to the mating contact 3: 0, and a circuit is closed as follows: ground 40, line 39, contact 29, contact 30, lines 36 , 37, 38, elec tromagnet 15, contact 23, which is still in conductive connection with contact 21, spring 24, line 33, battery.
When this circuit is closed, the electric magnet 15 is excited and the armature 13 is attracted so that the locking lug 18 steps behind the cone 14 and the valve disk 9 is opened against the action of the spring 11. At the same time, the sensor 25 and thus the spring 24 are raised by the cone 14. The contact 21 is lifted from the contact 23 and brought into conductive connection with the contact 221. So after opening the valves 9, the circuit is immediately interrupted again.
The parts are now in the position shown in FIG. No circuit is closed. The air enters the mixture line 7 through the openings 8, cools the engine and prevents the negative pressure from affecting the suction line and sucking in fuel.
Since the motor only receives air, it is braked and will finally come to a standstill if the pedal 27 is not actuated again in good time. When you press the foot pedal 2 7, the contact 29 is first lifted from the contact 30, brought into contact with the con tact 31 and thus a circuit is closed as follows: Ground 40, contact 29, 31, winding of the electric magnet 16, line 34, contact 2: 2, 21, spring 24, lead 33, battery. The electromagnet 16 is thus excited.
It attracts the armature 17 and the locking lug 18 releases the cone 14 so that the valve is closed by the spring 11.
At the same time, the sensor 2.5 slides down along the cone 14, so that the contact 2.1 separates from the contact 22 and comes into contact with the contact 23. The circuit via the electromagnet 16 is thus interrupted again. When further Be actuate the lever 27 then the Dros selklappe 6 against the spring 63 is opened.
The actuating device of the air inlet valve can expediently be put out of action by a switch-off device. Known disconnection devices can be used for this purpose.
As stated above, if the pedal 27 is released for a long time, only air will get to the motor and the motor will gradually stop. It is now often he wishes that the engine can continue to run with the lowest number of revolutions. For this purpose, the opening: of the valve 9 must be reversed.
The purpose of the invention is still achieved because the engine then no longer has the high number of revs and as a result, in carburetor engines with an idle line, the intake of fuel in the mixture line and the oil in the cylinder is reduced due to leaks. For this purpose, a switch can be built into the line 3, 6, 37, 38, for example.
If this is open, the opening of the air inlet valve is prevented.
In. Fig. 3 and 4 such a Einrich device is shown schematically, which works automatically table. According to FIGS. 3 and 4, lines 36 and 3-8 are connected to contacts 41 and 42. The contact 41 is seated on the spring 43 which is influenced by a pressure pin 44 made of insulating material. The pressure pin 44 sits on the armature 45, which is under the action of the electromagnet 61 and a spring 46 and is rotatably mounted at 47. The armature 45 carries a contact 48 which is connected to the line 33 leading to the positive terminal of the Bat terie 55 and works with a contact 50 together.
Furthermore, the armature 45 carries a contact 49 which is placed through the line 57 to the ground 40 and interacts with the con tact 51 which, as the drawing does not show, through a line 35 to the line 3.6 in FIG. 1 connected.
The contact 50 is connected via the current coil 59 of the electromagnet 61 and the line 52 to the positive terminal of the alternator 53. The negative terminals of the alternator and the battery are on .der ground 40. Finally, the line 52 is still connected by the voltage coil of the electric magnet 61 and the line 58 to ground.
The operation of this device is as follows: As long as the motor has a sufficiently high number of revolutions after the release of the pedal 27 (Fix. 2), the alternator works and sends current through the line 52 via the contact 50, the contact 48, the Lei device 45, the line 33 via the battery to ground. The battery is charging. The armature 45 is attracted and the pressure pin 44 presses the contacts 41 and 42 on each other. When the number of revolutions of the engine has dropped to the number of idling revs as a result of the fresh air entering, the voltage of the alternator 53 decreases.
Only the lower voltage of the battery 55 is still present. This is no longer sufficient to attract the armature 45. This is released (Fix. 4). The contacts 41 and 42 are thus also separated from one another and the connection of the lines 36, 38 is interrupted. At the same time, the contacts 49 and 51 come into contact, and thus the line 35 is grounded via the line 57.
The circuit now goes, without the foot pedal having been operated, from ground 40, line 57, contacts 49, 51 via line 35, line 34, contacts 22, 21, line 33 to the battery. So that the armature 17 is pulled with the locking lug 18, and the air inlet valve is closed by the spring 11.
If now the foot pedal 27 is actuated for the purpose of accelerating, the contact 29 comes into contact with the contact 31. But since the Lei device 34 is already connected to the ground via the lines 35 and 57, this new connection does not change anything. When the accelerator is accelerated, the number of revolutions of the machine increases and thus the voltage of the alternator 53 and the contacts 41, 42 now come into contact again. The connection between the lines 36, 38 is closed. But they have no connection with the crowd.
This only occurs when the lever 27 is released again, so that only then is the electromagnet 15 re-excited and the air inlet valve opens.
According to FIGS. 5 and 6, a special electromagnet 62 is provided, the current coil of which is formed by the line 52 which leads from the alternator (not shown) to ground 40. FIG. 5 corresponds to FIG. 3, and FIG. 6 corresponds to FIG. 4. When the voltage of the alternator is sufficiently high, the armature 45 is attracted by the electromagnet 62.
If the voltage falls below a certain level, then the armature 45 is released, the contacts 49, 51 come into contact and the line 34 becomes. Ver on the lines 35, 57 with the ground 40 connected. The mode of operation is the same as with the device according to FIGS. 3 and 4.
