Machine with rotors consisting of intermeshing helical gears that can be used both as a compressor and as a notor. The invention relates to a machine which can be used both as a compressor and as a motor and has wheels consisting of intermeshing helical gears.
Recent studies have established that rotary compressors BEZW. Rotary motors with rotors consisting of intermeshing helical gears can only produce satisfactory performance if the helical gears are driven at very high speeds and are designed in such a way that they are not only completely frictionless against the housing, but also between the individual helical gears There is always a play, even if only a small one, in such a way that the helical gears do not come into direct contact with one another.
At the high speeds that lead to economical operation of these screw compressors respectively. Motors are required, namely a construction with touching helical gears is practically impracticable because of the high peripheral speeds of the parts coming into contact with one another. On the other hand, however, the clearance between the helical gears and between them and the housing must not be too large, because the performance and the degree of efficiency are very quickly lower with greater margins.
The present invention has set itself the task of training the helical gears of machines of the specified type that can be used as compressors or as Hotoren so that the leakage cross-section connecting the high-pressure side with the low-pressure side and formed by the clearance is as small as possible, and that the helical gears can be carried out as briefly as possible.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that both the suction and pressure flanks of the teeth of the one helical gear are convex, and that the pressure flank of the teeth of this helical gear has a smaller radius of curvature than its suction flank and with a certain engagement position of the two helical gears completely on the neighboring flank of a tooth gap of the other. Helical wheel rests.
The thread gap is expediently filled in that position in which the apex of the tooth of the first-mentioned helical gear intersects the plane passing through the axes of rotation of the two helical gears. The pressure flank of the thread is to be understood as that tooth flank which corresponds to the higher pressure of the respectively to be compressed. exposed to expanding agent; when operating as a Ver denser so the front, and when operating as a motor, the rear tooth flank, based on the direction of rotation of the helical gear.
To explain the invention in more detail, reference is made to the exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention shown in the accompanying drawings. 1 shows a compressor formed according to the invention in axial longitudinal section, FIG. 2 shows a section of the compressor along the line II-II in FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows one of the rotors of the compressor with the course of the sealing lines,
Fig. 4 is a section of the compressor along the line IV-IV of Fig. 1, Fig. 5 is a somewhat modified Ausfüh approximately, and Fig. 6 is a representation corresponding to FIG. 5 with a further modification.
The Ver shown in the drawing poet has two helical gears 10 and 12, which are given by a housing 14 adjoining the outer periphery of the rotor, which is hollow for the purpose of receiving a cooling liquid. The runners 10 and 12 are made of one piece with their associated shaft parts and are in .den the radial pressures receiving Rol lenlagern 16, 18 respectively. 20, 22 and in the ball bearings 24, respectively, which absorb the axial pressures. 26 stored.
The roller bearings are supported by covers 28 and 30 screwed to the housing 14, which close the working space of the compressor on both sides in the axial direction and through which the shafts of the runners are guided with the interposition of seals 32, - 34, 36 and 38 .
The compressor is driven by the shaft 40, the movement of which is transmitted by the gears 42 and 44 to the rotor 12, which is arranged opposite the rotor 10 so that the two rotors do not touch at any point.
In order to be able to cool the runners from the inside, the shafts are hollow and have a coaxial inner tube 46 respectively. 48 provided. For the purpose of internal cooling of the rotor 10, cooling liquid is passed through a nozzle 50 into the interior of the tube 46.
The cooling liquid first flows through the tube 46 in the direction of the arrow 52, then flows back between the inner tube and the hollow shaft in the opposite direction and occurs in the direction of the arrows 54, 56 in a closed space 60 by a cover 58, which it leaves through an outlet opening not shown in the drawing to be cooled and fed to the cooling system again. The internal cooling of the rotor 12 it follows, as is readily apparent from the drawing, in the same way and therefore does not need to be described in more detail.
The inlet into the compressor is denoted by 62, the outlet by 64. The cover 30 at the suction end of the compressor is provided with radial bores 66, 68 which extend outward from the rotor shafts and have the purpose of a suction effect on the right of the seals 34 and 38 union spaces and a suction of lubricant in to prevent the compressor. The cover 28 located at the pressure end of the compressor also has bores 70, 72 leading to the outside of the shafts, which are provided for the purpose of penetrating compressed medium into the bearings containing the
to the left of the seals 32 and 36 with certainty to prevent spaces and to divert escaping pressure medium as a result of leaks. In the gap between the high pressure end of the screw 10 and the cover 28, one or more sealing edges 71 are arranged in order to avoid pressure losses.
As can be seen from Fig. 2, the two runners are designed as three common helical gears in the case before. However, the invention is not tied to any specific gear number of the helical gears. The size ratios of the two helical gears are chosen so that the theoretical tip circle 74 of the smaller helical gear and the theoretical root circle 76 of the larger helical gear coincide with the pitch circle. While in the illustration in Figure 1, the margins between the two Läu remote and between runners and housings were interpreted, the cooperating parts have been drawn in without play in the following Figures to allow a better overview of the processes taking place.
Of course, it is always a prerequisite, in accordance with the considerations made at the beginning, that there is actually a certain play of, for example, 0.2 mm between the parts concerned. For the most part, for the sake of simplicity, the following description also only takes into account the conditions that would occur in the absence of any leeway. It is easy to know how the situation is in reality, however, if you think of the scope as actually available.
The thread profiles shown as an example in the drawing have been determined as follows: With a point A on the root circle 76 of the larger screw as the center, an arc BC is created, the radius r of which is equal to the head height AC of the thread. This gives a flank a of a thread profile. A point D is determined on the tip circle 74 of the smaller screw in such a way that points A and D simultaneously pass through the connecting line of the two screw centers H and K, that is to say coincide at point E.
Since in the present example the points A and D lie on the partial circles and therefore move at the same speed, their distances from point E must always be the same: with D as the center a circular arc FG is drawn, which has the same radius r as the arc BC and extends from the point of intersection F with the line DK to the point of intersection G with the tip circle 74. This gives a flank c of the profile of the thread gap. From the emergence of the profile lines a and c described, it follows that they coincide when the points A and D are in point E.
In this position, points C and F coincide, namely they meet on the connecting line HK of the visual helical wheel axes H and K. It follows that in the position mentioned, the thread gap along the line FG is completely separated from one another Part of the thread profile a is filled, which is important with a view to achieving a good seal.
The point L delimiting the thread gap on the other side results from the condition that points L and C are to be located at the same time at the intersection point M of the tip circles. The flank b located between the points C and N is generated by the point L, that is, the point L touches the flank b over its entire length from C to N. Finally, the flank d from F to < I> L generated by point C.
The expression used in the above point is of course only valid as far as the consideration of the cut surfaces in Fig. 2 is presented. But if you look at the helical gears, point C naturally becomes a line.
In Fig. 3 the helical gear 10 is shown alone, in the direction of the arrow 82 (Fig: 2). Seen in order to the sealing line, i. H. .the line along which the two runners touch or. along which they are closest to each other. As can be readily seen from the consideration of Fig. 2, the sealing line is determined on the flank b by the position of the line L, and then the part 84 to 86 of the sealing line is obtained.
This is followed by an axially parallel part from 86 to 88, which is formed by the circular cylindrical surfaces NBi and LM . The theoretical seal line, i.e. H. the line that results without taking into account the clearance between the runners then follows along the line G to 90 and then runs on the intersection of a plane perpendicular to the axis with the area ai to the intersection with the line Ci at 92. The theoretical The sealing line then follows the line Ci up to the intersection with the line Li at 94 and then the line Li up to the point 96.
From here, the further course of the sealing line is repeated in the same way as from point 86. If one takes into account the presence. Clearance of play between the two runners, so he keeps the sealing line due to the curvature of the flanks a, b, c, d partly a slightly different course from the theoretical sealing line, namely it follows from 88 to 92 of the line 98 and from 92 to 96 of the line 100: Fig. 4 shows the way in which the compression of the work equipment is going on.
It is assumed that air is to be compressed that enters the suction side of the compressor through the inlet connection 62. When the rotor rotates in the sense of the arrows drawn in, amounts of air are initially taken along without compression in rooms P and R until the position shown in the drawing is reached, in which points C, L and M coincide. As the rotor continues to rotate, the thread 1J penetrates into the space P, where the volume of the space P is reduced and the pressure of the trapped air is increased.
As soon as the point Gi has passed the point M, the two rooms P and R come into contact with one another, whereby a pressure equalization takes place in these rooms. With further rotation of the runners, the thread Ti pushes itself into the gap R, and the compression continues until the diminishing spaces P, R come into contact with the outlet opening when they move towards the end of the pressure.
In the execution example described above take place. Inlet and outlet of the compressed air in respectively. from the compressor essentially in the radial direction. In order to cope with large volumes, however, it is often desirable to simultaneously feed the air in and out in the axial direction. to flow out. This could be achieved, for example, by removing the housing parts delimiting the rotors in the axial direction and modifying the inlet and outlet connections accordingly.
But this would require so long helical gears that closed compression spaces are formed without axial limitation. According to the invention, the helical gears can be built significantly shorter by special end plates or the like are arranged at the ends of the runners, which only a certain one or. Leave the cross-section open in the axial direction, but completely close the rest of the section.
The way in which the compressor can be closed in the axial direction is explained below using a few examples.
In the more or less schematic representation of FIG. 5, the runners are seen in the axial direction from the end of printing from ge. The greater part of the end faces of the runners is closed abge by an end plate 102, the shape of which results from the following considerations.
First of all, it is obvious that the rooms Pi and Ri must be closed until the desired compressor end pressure is reached. Assuming that this is the case when point Ci has got to U and point G2 has got to V. This is followed by the end lines k and e of the plate, which in the last-mentioned position with the flanks bi respectively. c2 coincide.
The lines f and g join the foot circles of the two runners. An extension of the plate 102 beyond the root circles would reduce the exit cross-section, on the other hand the curve parts f and g could easily be replaced somewhat inwards, for example by straight lines. In the position shown in FIG. 5, the flanks b and d enclose a wedge-shaped space that extends down to the suction side and thus creates an undesirable direct connection between Forms pressure side and suction side.
This can also be seen from the course of the sealing line in Fig. 3. In order to obtain the ge position shown in Fig. 5, you have to move the screw in Fig. 3 by a right through the line 90 to 92, perpendicular to the axis Cut level and think the top part away. The view from above of the lower part then corresponds to the position shown in FIG. It can be seen without further ado that the part located between the point 92 and the line Li is directly connected to the suction side.
In order to close this connection, the closing plate is led to the outside at this point and the boundary line h is obtained. Outside this line, a closure is not required because there the upper curved curve 100 (Fix. 3) seals against the suction side. .
Fig. 5 shows how large you can choose the axial outlet opening. For practical reasons, namely with regard to the accommodation of the seals and bearings, it is -but not always possible to perform the axial termination in the manner shown, and it may be necessary for this reason, the end plate 104, for example from Fig. 6 apparent boundary line k m to give noe.
At the end of the surface wedge d-b shown in FIG. 5, which is represented in FIG. 6 by b'-d ', the other shape of the plate naturally does not change anything. In contrast, this plate shape requires a further measure that is to be explained with reference to FIG. 6.
In this figure, the thread profiles are drawn in a position that they assume shortly before they reach the position shown in FIG. As can be seen from FIG. 6, the flanks a, c and part of the flank d enclose a wedge-shaped space which tapers towards the suction end,
which becomes more and more ge wrestling as the rotor continues to rotate and finally disappears completely when the position shown in FIG. 5 is reached. In order to be able to discharge the amount of air enclosed in this space, which is completely closed off due to the position of the plate 104, to the outside and thereby prevent an inadmissible increase in pressure in the space, an opening is in the plate 104 at a suitable location 106 provided that the between a,
c and d connect an enclosed space to the discharge side of the compressor. Of course, the opening 106 must have such a position that it does not connect the space enclosed between b and d to the suction side.
The closing plate located at the suction end expediently receives the limit shown in Fig. 4 by the line s-t-u-v z or a similar one, the plate closes the part to the left of the line mentioned with reference to FIG. 4. The course of the line a results from the consideration that the space P must be completely closed on the suction side,
when the thread "S" begins to penetrate this space or, in other words, the compression in space P is to begin. The other lines are chosen so that a direct connection between the suction and pressure side is prevented under all circumstances.
Instead of assigning special end plates, the cover 28 shown in FIG. 1, the runners closing off on both sides in the axial direction, respectively. 30 may be provided with appropriately shaped recesses which allow the working medium to enter and exit in the axial or at least partially axial direction.
The machine described can also be operated as a motor, for example as a steam or gas machine. In this case, the propellant is supplied through the nozzle 64 and the outlet of the expanded propellant at 62, the direction of rotation of the runners being opposite to that; which they have when operating as a compressor. You can also use the machine both as a compressor and as a motor with the same direction of rotation, but in this case the nozzles 62 and 64 are to be interchanged, i.e. H. the working medium flows through the machine in a light direction regardless of whether it is working as a compressor or motor.
The invention is not tied to the embodiment shown as an example, but can be embodied in many ways. Of course, the invention can also be used with double-acting runners in which the working fluid takes up or work in parallel flows Ar. gives.
