Device for airless fuel injection in internal combustion engines. The invention relates to a device for airless fuel injection in internal combustion engines, in the fuel pump of which a spring-loaded storage piston is arranged in the pump cylinder and the pump piston is rotatable and controls the fuel inlet and outlet, the latter by having one connected to the pump working chamber Recess of the Pum penkolbens towards the end of the pressure stroke connects the pump chamber with the fuel outlet ver.
According to the main patent, the recess of the pump piston is designed so that in at least one rotational position of the pump piston, the fuel outlet is strongly throttled during at least part of the injection compared to the other rotational positions.
In the Ausfüh approximately examples described in the patent specification of the main patent, the throttle point of the fuel inlet is in the running surface of the piston and its cross section depends on the mutual position of the recess of the pump piston and the outlet channel.
Inaccuracies in manufacture and adjustment cause differences in this mutual position, which are of the same order of magnitude as the dimensions of the throttle point, so that the effect of the latter is dependent on randomness.
According to the present invention, during at least part of the injection with a strongly throttled outlet, the cross section, the throttle point, and the opposite position of the pump piston and the outlet channel are independent. The throttle point can be arranged in the pump piston or in the pump body or be formed by a channel that runs along the running surface of the piston.
In the drawing, Ausführungsbei are shown games of the present invention. 1 shows an injection pump in vertical section; Fig. 2 is a horizontal section of this pump along the line A-B in Fig. 1; 3, 4 and 5 show variant embodiments in horizontal sections analogous to that of FIG. 2.
In Pumpeiizylincder a of the pump according to Figures 1 and 9, the pump piston b is moved up and down by a cam, not shown; In the cylinder bore, the pump piston is opposed to an escape piston c, which is loaded by a spring s. The inlet channel d, which communicates with a fuel tank (not shown), is controlled by the front edge e of the pump piston b.
The fuel outlet f, which leads z to also not shown injection valve, is connected through the recess lt and the channel k in the pump piston towards the end of the pressure stroke of the latter with the Pum penarbeitsraum i, so that the in the latter from Spring-loaded bypass piston pressurized fuel through the injection valve into: the working cylinder of the internal combustion engine injects.
Through the rack c and the gear 7t, the piston b can be rotated around its axis independently of its stroke movement, the amount of fuel to be injected, which remains enclosed in the pump chamber i at the end of the channel d, changes due to the inclination of the front edge e can be.
The recess h is designed so that in the rotary position of the pump piston for the largest injection quantity, as shown in the drawing, the fuel outlet is strongly throttled compared to other rotary positions. In this rotational position, the pump working space i is connected to the outlet channel f by a narrow channel t, which forms part of the recess h and runs along the contact surface of the pump cylinder and pump piston.
Even before the full width of the channel t coincides with the mouth of the outlet channel f, its cross section q perpendicular to the running surface of the cylinder is decisive for the throttling effect.
Since this cross-section q is independent of the mutual position of the pump piston b and the cylinder a, inaccuracies in the rotary setting of the pump piston, in the diameter, the outlet channel f, or in the extent of the recess in the circumferential direction of the pump piston are not significant A flow on the amount of throttling.
After some of the fuel has been injected through the channel t with a strongly throttled fuel outlet, an annular groove v also belonging to the recess h is aligned with the outlet channel f so that the remainder of the fuel is injected with significantly less throttling.
The variant according to FIG. 3 differs from the described embodiment in that the channel t, which runs along the contact surface of the pump cylinder and the pump piston, is formed by a groove in the cylinder wall and represents part of the outlet channel. The effect is the same as that of the channel t in FIGS. 1 and 2.
Fig. 4 shows a further variant. both the recess h- is divided into a part h ', which is effective in the rotary positions for medium and small amounts of fuel and a part formed by a hole h', which in the rotary position, the piston b for the rösste amount of fuel the connection with the Manufactures outlet channel.
The injection then takes place through the throttle point t 'arranged in the pump piston, the cross section of which is constant.
According to Fig. 5, the throttle point is arranged in the Pum pen body. Here the outlet channel f branches into channels f 'and f'. In the latter, the exchangeable nozzle plate p held by a pierced screw r is switched on, whose bore t 'acts as a throttle point.
The recess h is designed so that, depending on the rotational position of the piston b, the channel f 'or the channel f' is traversed by the fuel.
