Temperaturschalter.
Temperature switch. The present invention is a temperature switch which has a switching element rotatable about an axis whose movements are under the influence of temperature fluctuations and a magnet, with adjustable contacts and a regulating screw being provided, conveying the switching element according to the desired temperature limits can be regulated.
The temperature switch according to the invention is characterized in that a resiliently supported member is connected to the axis of rotation of the switching element, on which the regulating screw is intended to act, in order to thereby change the position of the switching element with respect to the adjustable contacts.
The accompanying drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section through densel ben, and Fig. 2 is a plan view. On a base plate 1, two bearing blocks 4 and 5 each having a recess 3 are arranged. In the recesses 3 with a bimetal spring 6 verbun dene axis 7 is rotatably mounted, on which a rectangular plate 8 is attached. At its free end, this has a riveted leaf spring 9 which is bent down on both sides and which is supported on a shoulder 10 of the bearing blocks 4 and 5.
Approximately in the middle of the bearing blocks a plate 11 connecting them is screwed on, in which a screw 12 provided with ran dviert head screw 12 is mounted bar.
At the free end of the bimetal spring is on the lower side 'a rectangular, over the entire width of the same extending steel piece 13 is attached. On the upper side of the bimetal spring, opposite the piece of steel 13, there is arranged a plate 15 made of insulating material and carrying a contact 14. The contact 14 is connected by soft copper lamellas 16 to a screw 17, which in turn is connected to a connection terminal 19 via an insulated piece of wire 18. Under and above the contact 14 formed as contacts, adjustable in height screws 20 and 21 are arranged, which are connected to terminals 22 and 23 a related party.
Below the bimetallic spring is a permanent hoof iron magnet 24 on the base plate, the fastening screws 25 of which are formed as effective poles and the steel piece 13 strives to attract.
The mode of operation of this switch is as follows: First, the switch is on the desired upper or lower position. to set the lower temperature limit at which it should be used. The switching points corresponding to these temperature limits depend for a given bimetal spring on the one hand on their position with respect to the contacts 20 and 21 and on the other hand on the mutual distance from these contacts. To adjust the bimetallic spring, the screw 12 is used, which rotates the axis 7 when turning inward while overcoming the tension of the spring 9 and moves the bimetallic spring against the base plate.
When the screw 12 is screwed outwards, the plate 8 follows it under the action of the relaxing spring 9, whereby the bimetal spring is rotated in the opposite direction.
The bimetallic spring is bent by the temperature fluctuations, for example, in such a way that its free end moves away from the base plate when the temperature rises and towards it when the temperature falls. Assuming that a circuit connected to Kontak th 14, 20 dominates a heating system, this circuit is interrupted during the first-mentioned movement and the heating system is put out of operation. In the opposite movement, the effect is reversed, the circuit mentioned is closed via contacts 14, 20 and the heating system is switched on.
The purpose of the magnet 24 and the steel piece 13, which acts as an anchor, is to achieve instantaneous connection of the bimetal spring and thereby reduce the formation of sparks to a minimum. If the bimetal spring slowly approaches the base plate, the force of attraction of the magnet becomes so great at a certain distance that the armature 13 is suddenly attracted and the closing of the contacts 14, 20 is accelerated.
Conversely, if the bimetallic spring tends to move away from the base plate due to temperature changes, the bimetallic spring is held back by the magnet until the bending stress of the bimetallic spring overcomes the attraction of the magnet and thereby causes a jerky separation of the grain bars 14, 20.
The details of the described embodiment can of course vary without departing from the scope of the invention. So the plate 8 and the spring 9 could spring from a single piece of material, or the plate B. could only be resilient and instead of the spring 9, an inelastic support member could be used. Instead of the leaf spring 9, one or more coil springs could also be used who. It is also not absolutely necessary that the spring 9 has to be supported on the base plate via the bearing blocks 4, 5; this support could just as well be done on the cover, not shown, of the temperature switch. In this case, however, the plate 8 is to be extended beyond the axis of rotation 7 and the support spring on the. To attach extension.
The temperature switch described and shown in the drawing has the advantage over the known, similar purposes, the Nenden switches that the switching element 6 is very sensitive according to the special Anord voltage and responds precisely to the temperature limits set.
