Farbband zum Drucken Zeichen. Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Farb band, welches zum Drucken von Zeichen dient und zum Beispiel für Schreibmaschi nen, Buchhaltungsmaschinen, Rechnungsma schinen, Registrierkassen, Kontrollapparate und dergleichen bestimmt ist. Die bis jetzt verwendeten Farbbänder sind ganz mit Farb stoff getränkt, so dass sie auf beiden Seiten Farbstoff abgeben, das heisst sowohl an das zu bedruckende Papier, wie auch an die Zei chentypen.
Die Typen werden so mit Farb stoff gefüllt und nach kurzer Gebrauchs dauer des Farbbandes auch mit Faserteil chen, die durch das Anschlagen der Typen an das Farbband von dem letzteren losge trennt werden; dies bedingt ein häufiges Reinigen des Typensatzes mit harten Bür sten, was denselben abschleift und seine Lebensdauer sehr beeinträchtigt.
Erfindungsgemäss wird dieser Nachteil dadurch behoben, dass das den Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung bildende Farbband einen Farbstreifen und ein eine Seite des Bandes bildendes iNtittel besitzt, das für den Farbstoff undurchlässig ist und derart aus gebildet ist, dass beim Anschlagen der Typen gegen dieses Mittel keine Teilchen desselben abgetrennt werden.
Auf der Zeichnung sind zwei Ausfüh rungsbeispiele der Erfindung dargestellt. Fig. 1 zeigt eine Draufsicht auf das erste Ausführungsbeispiel; Fig. 2 zeigt dasselbe in einer Seitenan sicht, wobei zur Darstellung der Arbeits weise des Farbbandes auch noch ein Typen hebel in der Anschlagstellung, sowie die Druckwalze dargestellt sind: Fig. 3 zeigt eine Draufsicht auf das zweite Ausführungsbeispiel, das nur zur Hälfte seiner Breite mit Farbstoff getränkt ist, dagegen auf seiner ganzen Breite einen Gummibelag besitzt; .

In den Fig. 1 und 2 ist mit a die Druck walze und mit b ein Typenhebel in der An schlagstellung bezeichnet. Das Farbband be steht aus dem Gummibelag o und dem -Farb- streifen d.
Die Typen schlagen gegen den elastischen Gummibelag c und nicht gegen den Farbstreifen d und werden auf diese Weise nicht mit Farbstoff gefüllt; auch können keine Faserteilchen vom Farbstreifen losgetrennt werden, welche sich in die Buch stabentypen hineinsetzen würden, da der Gummibelag zwischen diesen Typen und dem Farbstreifen liegt, und der Gummibelag selbst eine solche Elastizität besitzt, dass keine Teilchen des letzteren durch das An schlagen der Typen abgetrennt werden.
In Fig. 3 und 4 ist ein Farbband veran schaulicht, welches aus dem Gummibelag c und dem Farbstreifen d besteht; dieser Farb- streifen d ist jedoch nur zur Hälfte seiner Breite mit Farbstoff getränkt. Ein solches Farbband wird verwendet, wenn ausser der normalen Schreibarbeit auch sogenannte Ver- vielfältigungsmatrizen geschrieben werden sollen, bei denen nur die Zeichen durchge schlagen werden müssen, dagegen keine Farbe benötigt wird.
