Description

  

  Générateur     d'oxygène    pour l'alimentation d'un espace clos, tel qu'un abri, etc.    L'objet de cette invention est un géné  rateur d'oxygène pour l'alimentation d'un es  pace clos. Ce générateur comporte un réci  pient muni intérieurement de chicanes, et  dans lequel est disposé du peroxyde de so  dium mélangé, d'une part, avec un catalyseur  et, d'autre part, avec une substance     destinée     à maintenir des orifices pour le passage de  l'air au travers de la masse placée dans le  récipient, une des extrémités de ce dernier  étant munie d'un couvercle et l'autre d'un  goulot destiné à être relié avec un ventilateur;  un filtre est en outre prévu à chaque extré  mité dudit récipient.  



  Le dessin annexé montre, à titre d'exem  ple, une forme d'exécution du dispositif ob  jet de l'invention.

  Le générateur représenté comporte un ré  cipient 1 en fer-blanc, par exemple,     muni    de  cloisons partielles 2, formant chicanes, et des-         tinées    à obliger l'air, refoulé ou aspiré par un  ventilateur non représenté, à traverser toute la  masse 3 constituée à l'aide de peroxyde de so  dium mélangé avec un catalyseur, tel que  de l'oxyde de cuivre, et de la laine de verre;  cette dernière sert à maintenir dans la masse,  des orifices pour le passage de l'air.  



  Les cloisons 2 sont constituées par des pla  quettes d'amiante ou encore par des plaques  métalliques paraffinées; ces chicanes sont  placées au fur et à mesure du remplissage du  récipient 1 et soudées avec de la paraffine sur  des nervures circulaires 4.  



  Aux extrémités du récipient 1 sont prévus,  d'une part, des filtres 5 et 6, constitués par  une masse de laine de verre, servant à empê  cher l'entraînement des poussières et, d'autre  part, un orifice 7 et un goulot 8. L'orifice 7  est fermé avec un bouchon métallique 9, tan  dis que le goulot 8 comporte une partie éva  sée 10 sur laquelle est adapté un couvercle 11;  de plus, une membrane 12     destinée    à être per  forée obture normalement l'extrémité dudit  goulot.      Pour faire fonctionner ce générateur, on  enlève le couvercle 1.1 et le bouchon 9, puis,  à l'extrémité du goulot 8, après avoir perforé  la membrane 12, on adapte un tuyau en  caoutchouc ajusté, d'autre part, à la buse  d'aspiration, par exemple, d'un ventilateur.  



  L'air aspiré par le ventilateur traverse  alors le récipient dans lequel il se débarrasse  de son humidité et de son anhydride carbo  nique et ressort chargé d'oxygène.  



  La laine de verre peut être remplacée par  ou mélangée avec de la fibre d'amiante; en  outre, les surfaces métalliques intérieures du  récipient 1 peuvent être paraffinées.  



  Le générateur représenté, facilement  transportable d'une pièce à une autre, peut  être avantageusement utilisé dans un espace  clos tel qu'un abri servant à protéger la po  pulation contre les gaz nocifs.



  Oxygen generator for supplying an enclosed space, such as a shelter, etc. The object of this invention is an oxygen generator for supplying a closed space. This generator comprises a receptacle provided internally with baffles, and in which is placed sodium peroxide mixed, on the one hand, with a catalyst and, on the other hand, with a substance intended to maintain orifices for the passage of air through the mass placed in the container, one end of the latter being provided with a cover and the other with a neck intended to be connected with a fan; a filter is also provided at each end of said container.



  The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the object device of the invention.

  The generator shown comprises a receptacle 1 made of tin, for example, provided with partial partitions 2, forming baffles, and intended to force the air, discharged or sucked in by a fan not shown, to pass through the entire mass 3 formed using sodium peroxide mixed with a catalyst, such as copper oxide, and glass wool; the latter is used to maintain in the mass, orifices for the passage of air.



  The partitions 2 are formed by asbestos plates or else by waxed metal plates; these baffles are placed as the container 1 is filled and welded with paraffin on circular ribs 4.



  At the ends of the container 1 are provided, on the one hand, filters 5 and 6, formed by a mass of glass wool, serving to prevent the entrainment of dust and, on the other hand, an orifice 7 and a neck. 8. The orifice 7 is closed with a metal plug 9, tan say that the neck 8 comprises a flared portion 10 on which is fitted a cover 11; in addition, a membrane 12 intended to be drilled normally closes the end of said neck. To operate this generator, the cover 1.1 and the plug 9 are removed, then, at the end of the neck 8, after having perforated the membrane 12, an adjusted rubber pipe is fitted, on the other hand, to the nozzle d suction, for example, from a fan.



  The air sucked in by the ventilator then passes through the receptacle in which it gets rid of its humidity and its carbon anhydride and comes out loaded with oxygen.



  Glass wool can be replaced by or mixed with asbestos fiber; furthermore, the interior metal surfaces of the container 1 can be waxed.



  The generator shown, easily transportable from one room to another, can be advantageously used in an enclosed space such as a shelter serving to protect the population against harmful gases.
