Stop valve with attached handle secured against axial displacement, especially for wash basin fittings. The invention relates to a shut-off valve with an attached handle secured against axial displacement, in particular for wash basin fittings with a non-rising spindle and a capless upper part.
Such shut-off valves, in which the raising and lowering of the actual valve body by a screw thread at the lower end of the aehsiale, non-displaceable spindle takes place, have ge compared to other constructions in which the spindle itself is rigidly connected to the Ventilkör by and within the Slidably ascends and descends with its coupled actuating handle, the advantage of greater simplicity and better sealing, as well as easier assembly and disassembly,
so that they are used today to a much greater extent than the first mentioned. However, in such designs, the previously known for the connec tion of handle and spindle left something to be desired. The essential feature of the invention is that a gland nut is rotatably attached to the handle attachment so that the gland nut can be tightened independently of the handle attachment.
Here, the handle attachment with the gland nut is advantageously connected in such a way that it can be freely rotated, but is secured against axial displacement.
This makes a construction of great simplicity possible light, which is not only easy to assemble, but also constantly easy to re-seal during use, especially the advantage of the secure Ab seal the gland housing against the valve housing and on the other hand the secure inner gland itself enables light.
In the drawing, three exemplary embodiments of the invention are illustrated in section, namely: FIG. 1 shows the embodiment in which the connection of the operating handle and the stuffing box nut by means of a snap ring follows; Fig. 2 shows the embodiment of the connec tion with split gland, and Fig. 3 shows the embodiment with split ter grip sleeve.
In the figures, the stuffing box housing with a, the stuffing box nut with b, the handle with c and the spindle with d, which in the illustrated embodiments have the slot e that engages in the sword insert f in the spindle hole g. h is shown in Fig. 1 in the corresponding grooves of the stuffing box nut and the handle approach are the snap ring and i a conical rotation of the upper part of the gland nut. k is the thread on the lower part of the gland housing, with the aid of which the latter is screwed in a sealing manner into the valve housing 1, the approach of which is only indicated schematically.
The gland nut b # and the handle c are connected by the snap ring lt in such a way that the handle can be freely rotated with respect to the nut, but not axially displaceable and the gland nut can be tightened independently of the handle attachment can.
The introduction of this ring and thus the assembly of the parts is made possible by the conical enlargement i of the upper part of the gland nut b. The extended part of the stuffing box nut also serves as a support surface for the handle.
According to FIG. 2, the stuffing box nut b is divided into the two halves b ', b2 and has at its upper end a collar-shaped extension m projecting inwards. This collar approach engages after assembling menbau in an annular groove n in a handle socket o inserted into the handle.
Here, too, the same effect of the fastening, namely that of securing the handle against displacement in the axial direction while maintaining its ability to rotate, is achieved independently of the stuffing box nut. Of course, the handle bushing can also be omitted and the entire handle with the cylindri's, appropriately milled approach can be made in one piece.
According to FIG. 3, the gripping sleeve o consists of two parts o ', o2 and has an un tern, collar-shaped inwardly protruding approach p, in an annular groove q of the stuffing box nut b engages, whereby the stuffing box nut is rotatably attached to the handle and the stuffing box nut can thus be tightened independently of the handle attachment:
The invention is of course not limited to the embodiments described above and shown in detail in the figures, but can be modified in many ways without deviating from its basic concept.
