Advertising sheet to be attached to envelopes or containers. The subject of the present invention is an advertising sheet to be attached to product covers or containers, which has a strip provided with a discount information, which is attached to a tearable part of the sheet in such a way that after attaching the sheet, the discount information is only made visible by tearing this part can be.
Two embodiments of the subject of the invention are illustrated by the accompanying drawing.
Fig. 1 shows the rear side of the advertising sheet designed as a bottle label; Fig. 2 is a cross-section through a bottle provided with the advertising sheet, and Fig. 3 shows an advertising sheet designed as a chocolate pack.
In Fig. 1, the bottle label 1 is provided from the left longitudinal edge with two perforation lines 2, 3 reaching approximately to the longitudinal center of the label, between which the part 4 of a strip which can be folded along its transverse center line 5 is glued to the illustrated label back. The inside of this strip bears the number 50 on part 4 and on the other, part 6, it bears the name of the company that produces the contents of the bottle, for example.
Before sticking the bottle label prepared in this way, the strip is folded along line 5 so that part 6 comes to rest on the side of part 4 bearing the number 50 and thus covers the number. As if from Fig. 1, the strip is arranged in such a way that the fold protrudes beyond the label edge. The label with the folded strip is then glued to the filled bottle 7 in the manner shown in FIG of part 6 of the strip on the bottle is avoided.
The buyer of the bottle can then grasp the strip on the protruding fold and tear it off together with the part of the label lying between the perforation lines 2, 3. The label is thus destroyed and a second 142a.1 cannot be illegally used. Since the part of the strip bearing the number is stuck to the label, the number remains invisible until the strip is torn off. The strip with the label part adhering to it is then shown to the seller, who then uses the number printed on part 4 to determine the discount corresponding to the latter.
When in Fig. Ss. Chocolate pack shown is denoted by 8, the outer paper shell of the same. This is provided with two perforation lines 9 and 10, one end of which runs against a transverse slot 11 fen.
In this transverse slot the as in Fig. 1 and as described above Bene folded strip is inserted so that the fold protrudes from the transverse slot 11 and the part 4 of the strip on the inside of the paper sleeve, the part 6 on the other hand the usual inner cover located under the paper cover, which can consist of metal foil or glassine, for example, applies. The folded strip with adhesive on the outside is then glued to the inner and outer casing of the pack. If the strip is torn off, the pack will then be destroyed.
Without this tearing of the shell wrapped around the chocolate and sealed, it is not possible to show the discount.
The material for the strip is of course expediently chosen so that it is more difficult to tear than the part of the advertising sheet to be torn. The strip is therefore appropriately made of tough cardboard or a fabric. The perforation lines on the part of the sheet to be torn can also be omitted.
The strip can also be fastened in other ways than by gluing, for example by means of clasps, which can be formed and attached in such a way that the strip cannot be detached without damaging the tearable part of the sheet. When using adhesives, it is expedient to choose those which are neither soluble nor swellable in water, for example solutions of cellulose derivatives in organic solvents, rubber solutions, etc.
The side of the strip bearing the discount information can be provided with an overprint in such a way that forgeries of the discount information are immediately recognizable.
It is not necessary that the strip is always attached to the sheet in the folded state. In certain cases, a single strip can be sufficient, if it is ensured that the type of application of the strip and its attachment means that the discount information cannot be viewed before it is torn off.
The advertising sheet described is suitable for use in connection with all such product covers that are either tearable as such or have at least one tearable part.
