Device for displaying angles. The invention relates to a device for displaying angles, in particular elevation and depth angles, with an auxiliary graduation suitable for fine reading, for example a scale in which two digits of constant sum are assigned to each sub-division, and with a pitch circle with two opposite numbers.
According to the invention, such a display device is designed so that the zero points of these two numbers are set against each other by the length of the auxiliary graduation, a scale of the length of a division interval of the pitch circle is advantageously chosen as the auxiliary graduation.
The previously known two types of angle display devices with opposing numerals have the common feature that the zero points of the numerals coincide. In one type, the auxiliary graduation has the form of a scale the length of a division interval of the partial circle and each graduation of the scale has two digits, the sum of which is constant.
Reading using such a scale assumes compliance with certain rules and therefore easily leads to reading errors. For this reason, the second type of display device has been developed in which the auxiliary division has the length of two division intervals of the pitch circle. With this display device the reading of memo rules is free, albeit not very clear, but the disadvantage compared to the first-mentioned display device is that the demands on the imaging optics are twice as high in view of the greater length of the auxiliary graduation.
The angle display device with ver set zero points according to the invention combines the advantage of the short auxiliary division with the advantage of the elimination of memory rules. An error in the reading is practically impossible if the digits of one number are applied on the inside and the digits of the other number on the outer side of the pitch circle and the zero lines of the auxiliary graduation are of such length and direction that the The graduation mark relevant for the reading comes close to the numbering of the partial circle that is relevant for the reading.
The drawing shows a Ausführungsbei play the subject of the invention: In Fig. 1 to 3 of the drawing, three different positions of the auxiliary division are shown compared to the graduation, of which the first of the zero position of the auxiliary division, the second of setting a depth angle and the third of Setting an elevation angle corresponds.
The drawn auxiliary division a has the length of a division interval of the pitch circle and is divided into six parts, the associated seven division lines are provided with two groups of digits a + and a-, the former for reading the angle of elevation and the latter for reading the The depth angle is decisive. The digits of one group are on one side and those of the other group on the other side of the tick marks.
Each group of digits consists of the digits 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 and the two digits assigned to each division result in the constant sum 60 for each division, i.e. the divisions carry the digits 0 and 60 10 in sequence and 50, 20 and 40, 30 and 30, 40 and 20, 50 and 10, and 60 and 0. The partial circle contains a part bF for the (positive) elevation angle and a part b- for the (negative depth angle. The Zero points of these two parts are offset from one another by the length of the auxiliary division a, that is to say by one division interval of the pitch circle.
The digits for part b + stand with the digits of group a + of the auxiliary division a and the digits for part b- stand with the digits of group a- of the auxiliary division a on one and the same side.
In Fig. 1; which illustrates the zero position of the auxiliary division, the end lines of the auxiliary division fall a. with the zero points of parts b + and b- of the pitch circle together. In Fig. 2, the auxiliary graduation a protrudes with two of its graduation intervals into part b- of the pitch circle, so that a depth angle of 20 'can be read . In Fig. 3, the auxiliary graduation a protrudes with two of its graduation intervals into part b + of the pitch circle, so that an elevation angle of 20 'can be read off.
When reading it should be noted that the group of digits a +, resp. a-, the auxiliary graduation a is to be taken into account for the fine reading, which is on the same side of the graduation lines as the digits of the part b +, respectively. b-, the pitch circle into which the extended zero line of the partial division a protrudes.
