EMI0002.0012
zwischen den Klemmen 1 und 2 annähernd durch
EMI0002.0013
dargestellt werden kann, worin
EMI0002.0014
zv = 2 7r f ; f =Frequenz ; ,S =Steilheit der Anodenstrom - Gitterspannungscharakteristik bedeutet.
Circuit for the amplification of Boeh frequency oscillations. It is known that in amplifier tubes with one or more grids between the control grid and the cathode there is a certain capacitance, the size of which depends in part on the space charge between these electrodes and consequently also on the negative grid bias.
If a visual oscillation circuit tuned to a certain frequency is connected between the control grid and the cathode and the grid bias is changed, for example to regulate the gain, the resulting change in the control grid cathode capacitance will change the tuning of the oscillation circuit.
This phenomenon is particularly unpleasant in amplifier circuits with several amplifier tubes that are coupled to one another by tuned oscillation circuits, in which the circuits are tuned by means of mechanically coupled capacitors and the bias voltages of the amplifier tubes are changed in various ways to regulate the strength. In this case, the changes in the control grid cathode capacitances will be different for each amplifier tube, so that the oscillation circuits are detuned from one another, which results in a reduction in the selectivity of the amplifier.
The aim of the invention is to at least almost eliminate the dependence of the grid cathode capacitance on the grid bias.
According to the invention, this is achieved by connecting a resistor in the cathode line of an amplifier tube with at least one grid, which resistor is common to the control grid circuit and a circuit connected to another tube electrode and is dimensioned in such a way that the control grid cathode capacitance is almost independent of the grid bias is.
The drawing illustrates an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention through FIG. 2, while FIG. 1 serves to explain the principles of the invention.
In Fig. 1, for example, an indirectly heatable three-electrode tube with a glow wire F, a cathode K ,. a grid G and an anode 9. In the connection line of the grid and the anode with the cathode, an impedance Zf is switched on. In the anode circle an Im pedanz Za is added, and the grid cathode capacitance is denoted by C..f.
A simple calculation can be used to derive that the apparent admittance
EMI0002.0012
between terminals 1 and 2 approximately through
EMI0002.0013
can be represented in which
EMI0002.0014
zv = 2 7r f; f = frequency; , S = steepness of the anode current - grid voltage characteristic means.
The above formula was derived on the assumption that the internal resistance of the tube is large compared to the total impedance of the anode circuit and on the assumption that SZf <1.
If the impedance Zf is a resistance Bi , then by substituting RE for 2f it follows from this equation:
EMI0002.0026
from which it can be seen that the coupling of the anode to the control grid circuit through a resistor Rf results in an apparent grid cathode impedance, which can in part be represented by a negative capacitance. A negative capacitance is to be understood as an impedance which has the same frequency dependency as a capacitance but with opposite phase.
It can be seen that by such a coupling of the anode and the control grid circuit by means of an ohmic resistance, the increase in the grid cathode capacitance with decreasing negative grid bias in amplifier tubes can be completely or partially eliminated, since this capacitance and that caused by the coupling negative capacitance brought about by means of the resistance Rf are dependent in the same way on the steepness S of the anode current characteristic. Such an embodiment example of the invention is shown in FIG.
If the steepness S 'is changed by changing the negative grid bias, for example for intensity control, then this will not have any influence on the size of the control grid cathode capacitance and then no detuning if the resistance Bi is correctly dimensioned an oscillation circuit included in the control grid circuit.
Above, only one embodiment of the invention with an indirectly heated three-electrode tube was mentioned. The invention is not limited to this, but can also advantageously relate to execution examples with 112ebrgitterröhren and in this case it is possible to couple the control grid circuit with an auxiliary grid circuit through a resistor.
