In.
Device for displaying the acceptance respectively. Increase in pressure in pneumatic tires. The invention relates to a device for displaying the decrease BEZW. Increase in pressure in pneumatic tires, at which an organ influenced by the air pressure in the tire is provided, which belongs to a contact device in a circuit guided via a display device located in the driver's field of vision, such that the organ with normal pressure in the tire, the circuit is kept open when the pressure increases or decreases. The pressure on the contact device closes in order to display this change in pressure on the display device.
The subject of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing in two examples of execution.
In the illustrated by Fig. 1 first embodiment, a is attached to the wheel body A and with the pressure air chamber of the tire B by means of a pipe b denotes a small air pressure vessel connected to the wheel body A. The pipe line b is connected to the usual valve port r, which has a branch s for pumping up the air pressure chamber. From the air pressure vessel a is a pressure-sensitive, elastically flexible, elec trically conductive tube c, for example consisting of a spring tube, which is closed ge at the free end.
The tube c is bent in such a way that its free end comes to rest between the two legs of a fork-shaped contact piece e connected electrically to a slip ring d housed in the brake drum D of the wheel and insulated from the wheel body A, the slip ring d. and its connec tion with the contact piece e are also electrically isolated from the wheel mass. The two legs of the contact piece e are provided with adjustable contact screws, which make it possible .the path to be covered for Kontakther position of the spring tube end upwards or respectively. adjust downwards.
A sliding contact socket E, which is insulated from the same, is attached to the stationary end, deekel F of the brake drum. whose sliding contact f, which is preferably made of carbon, is pressed resiliently against the slip ring d and grinds on the same when the Ra is turned, while the other end of the sliding contact socket E, opposite the sliding contact f, by means of a line i with one pole in the driver's field of vision lying electric display device m, for example a signal lamp, is connected.
The other pole of this device is on one pole of a .Stromquelle q, the other pole is on the vehicle ground.
Naturally, the same pressure prevails in the compressed air chamber of the wheel tire B and in the air pressure tank a due to their constant mutual connection by means of the pipe b. At normal pressure in the tire, the spring tube end is roughly in the middle between .den two legs of the contact piece e, without touching either one or the other.
If the pressure in the pneumatic tire decreases as a result of a leak and thus also in the container a and in the spring tube c, the free end of the spring tube c will approach more and more of the contact screw of the contact piece e shown below in Fig. 1 until it finally comes to a certain Druckab acquisition the same touches, whereby the circuit is closed and the display device m is set in function, so that the latter is about by lighting up when it is in a light bulb, the abnormal, respectively. indicates that the tire is in a tight condition.
The situation is similar if there is an increase in pressure that occurs, for example, as a result of the heating of the air in the tire. which has the consequence that the spring tube tries to stretch in order to finally close the circuit at the contact screw located at the top in FIG. 1.
In. Fig. 2 is the contact device, which sits on the wheel body in Fig. 1, assembled with the wheel tire connection valve. A union nut piece k is screwed onto a nozzle r, into which a sleeve-shaped regulating screw l is screwed, the bore of which is threaded to accommodate a two-th but made of insulating material such as fiber, be standing regulating screw w.
Passed through the latter and freely movable in the longitudinal direction Lich is a .Stift o, which is switched on one hand by means of a clamping device h sitting on it, for example consisting of two nuts in the circuit of the electrical display device m and on the other hand a pressure-sensitive, controlling it , preferably made of insulating material, for example rubber. carries existing membrane v, through which it protrudes airtight in order to be able to make contact with a perforated, electrically conductive plate p held by means of the union nut piece k on the end of the valve connector.
The plate p serving as counter contact with the pin o also has the purpose of keeping the valve t open so that the membrane z is under the effect of the pressure prevailing in the wheel tire. Beyond the membrane v there is a conductive plate g under the action of a spring n, which is fixed to the pin o and which, if there is sufficient pressure, can make contact with the regulating screw l by means of the membrane.
It is easy to understand .that, similar to the first embodiment, the circuit upon acceptance resp. Increase in pressure in the wheel tire is closed by the diaphragm v receding when the pressure decreases and the pin o moves up to the plate p, which is electrically conductively connected to the mass, while conversely, when the pressure increases, the diaphragm v bulges further
in order to finally establish contact by means of the plate g at the regulating screw 1 that is electrically conductively connected to the ground.
The regulating screws l and w can be adjusted as desired, so that with a smaller or larger pressure change in the wheel tire, the contact closure is established for the purpose of closing the circuit in increasing or decreasing direction. The first embodiment is shown in application to a single pneumatic tire.
Understandably, it can also be used on twin tires, in which case two separate air pressure tanks would then be provided on the wheel body, the pressure-sensitive spring tubes of which could control one and the same circuit.
