Verfahren und Vorrichtung zur Erzeugung einer Bahn in Form eines Filmes, einer Folie, Platte und dergleiehen aus an sich hartem, hart werdendem oder härtbarem Material. Zur @erarbcitun @.;
Die äusserst enge Begrenzung in der Her- ctellung gleichmässig dimensionierter Bah- nen mittelst solcher Pressen ist darin begrün det., dass das Pressgut trotz sorgfältigster Druckverteilung und Führung zwischen Verteilerelementen hindurch in den Matrizen kopf nicht gleichmässig auf der ganzen Schlitzbreite austritt, sondern den Schlitz un regelmässig und wellenförmig passiert, wo durch die .Stärke der ausgepressten Folie in .der Breitenrichtung stark schwankt;
Fig. 3 einen Schnitt nach Linie III-1_11 der Fig. 1, Fig. 4 ein zweites Ausführungsbeispiel in Vorderansicht, Fig. 5 einen Querschnitt nach Linie V---V der Fig. 4, Fig. 6 eine Vorderansicht eines .dritten Ausführungsbeispiels, und Fig. 7 einen Querschnitt nach Linie VII-VII der Fig. 6.
Bei dem zweiten Ausführungsbeispiel des Matrizenendes der Pressvorrichtung nach den Fig. 4 und 5 ist die untere Längsseite des Ausgangsschlitzes 3 der Matrize durch eine Walze 1.5 gebildet, die beiderends mitteilst Zapfen lt;
Method and device for producing a web in the form of a film, a sheet, a plate and the like from material that is hard, hardening or hardenable per se. To @erarbcitun @ .;
From plastic masses to sheets in the form of films, foils, plates and the like, especially those that are primarily made from cellulose derivatives, three different processes are generally used, the film casting process,
the cutting of a block and the rolling out of the plastic mass into a coherent diess. Furthermore, one also produces fleece or webs from such masses by pressing them in a viscoplastic state through a die with a slot-shaped exit. With the help of known presses with such matrices, webs that are evenly dimensioned,
in widths over 300 mm; if a thickness of less than 1 mm is required, the usual one. Tolerance in the thickness of 10; not manufacture.
The extremely narrow limitation in the production of evenly dimensioned webs by means of such presses is due to the fact that the pressed material does not emerge evenly over the entire width of the slot, despite the most careful pressure distribution and guidance between distribution elements in the die head happens regularly and in waves, where the .thickness of the pressed film fluctuates greatly in the width direction;
Such unevenly dimensioned foils are useless for most purposes.
The method according to the present invention now enables, with the help of a die with a slit-shaped exit made of intrinsically hard, hardening or hardenable material, webs of commercial uniformity in far greater widths and in smaller thicknesses than was previously possible, please include to produce, in that the plastic mass is moved during the pressing process on a support element moving in the same direction as the mass through the die, which has approximately the same width as the web to be formed.
This can be achieved in such a way that means are provided which allow a band-shaped support element for the web of approximately the same width as the latter during the pressing of the material to form the web through .the exit slot .the die To guide the slot, or that at least one of the two longitudinal sides of the output slot of the die is formed by a roller that can be rotated through the slot in accordance with the direction of passage of the web.
The pressing device for carrying out the method according to the invention is characterized in that at least one of the two long sides of the slot-shaped passage of the die is designed as a support element movable in the direction of passage of the material to produce the web.
If now, when using this device, the press material in the die head in front of the slot accumulates, it is pressed when the support element is formed as a band against the band-shaped support element guided through the slot and evenly over the entire width of when exiting the slot led this band. After the material web has been pressed out of the slot, it is pulled off the guide belt. In this way, uneven dimensioning of the web, for example due to wave formation on its surface, is effectively prevented.
When using one or two rotatable rollers to form the longitudinal sides of the exit slot, the material is picked up by these and shaped.
The method according to the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing, in which three exemplary embodiments of the die end of the pressing device for performing the method are shown. It shows: FIG. 1 a first exemplary embodiment de: <die end in front view, FIG. 2 shows a cross section along line II-II in FIG. 1.
3 shows a section along line III-1_11 in FIG. 1, FIG. 4 shows a second exemplary embodiment in front view, FIG. 5 shows a cross section along line V --- V in FIG. 4, FIG. 6 shows a front view of a third exemplary embodiment , and FIG. 7 shows a cross section along line VII-VII in FIG. 6.
In the first embodiment according to Figures 1 to 3, 1 is the press head of the device, 2 is the adjoining die head with exit slot 3. The inner wall: 1 of the die head narrows gradually from the press pot towards the exit slot, creating a conical transition part for central feeding to this slot of the pressurized plastic material to produce a web in the form of a film, a sheet, plate or the like.
In front of this transition part, disc-shaped distributor elements 4 'are arranged on an axis -5 with the formation of spaces next to one another in order to supply the material flowing through after it has passed through a sieve plate 6 to the outlet slot 3 in as uniform a distribution as possible.
The slot-shaped exit 3 of the die is formed by an upper cutting edge in the form of a movable ruler 7, which is arranged vertically displaceable by means of fine adjustment screws & in the die head 2 and can be fixed by screws 8 '. The cutting edge 7 is a guide rail 9 ge opposite, the means of screws 10 relative to the lower part of the front end of the Ma trizenkopfes to form an inclined guide gap 11 is adjustable.
The gap 11 serves to guide an endless band-shaped support element 12 for the web to be produced by the press material, which element passes through the exit slot 3 together with the plastic mass during the production process by means of transport rollers 13 in the direction of passage of the web through the exit slot 3. the die is moved.
The width of the support element 12 is selected to be approximately the same as the web width and the material for the element is expediently provided.
In the second exemplary embodiment of the die end of the pressing device according to FIGS. 4 and 5, the lower longitudinal side of the exit slot 3 of the die is formed by a roller 1.5, which is at both ends with a pin;
is mounted on the sodium head 2, so that it can rotate in accordance with the direction of passage of the web to be produced, that is to say clockwise in FIG. 5. For this purpose, drive means (not shown) can be provided for the roller in order to be able to drive the roller at different speeds depending on the pressing pressure.
The roller 15 is a replacement for the endless guide belt 7.2 and the edge 9 of the first embodiment, in that it also forms a support element for the web to be formed, which is moved during the pressing process with the plastic mass through the Ha trize.
In the third embodiment, the upper longitudinal side of the exit., - slot of the die is formed by a rotatable roller 17, which is supported in a bearing bracket 18 between the side walls 19 of the press head 2 and on ribs 20 of the bearing bracket of the lower roller 15 is suitably guided, is stored and is supported from above against the web, for the generation of which when the plastic mass emerges from the die.
In order to prevent the press material from escaping from the side at the exit of the die, annular flanges 21 are provided at the ends of the roller 15: for the same purposes, flanges 22 are also arranged on the bearing journals 23 of the roller 17.
The rollers serving as the long sides of the exit slot can either be freely rotatable, so that in each case they rotate along with the direction of passage of the web through the slot. Or there could also be special drive means for the rollers for rotating the same in the corresponding direction. Fer ner could both these rollers, as well as the guide belt 12 made of highly polished Me tall to prevent sticking of the plastic's rule, or these parts can be moistened or dusted with a sticking preventing substance.
To produce, for example, a web, for example from celluloid mass, by means of this pressing device, the procedure is as follows: nitrocellulose and camphor or celluloid waste are dissolved and kneaded in a kneading unit with the addition of solvents; After filtering, the cellular putty is processed in the usual way on the rolling mill until the medium solute is still around 20 to 25%.
The mass obtained is poured into the press pot, and using the fine adjustment screws 8 exactly to the desired strength <; the web to be produced is set, after which the ruler 7 is fixed with the help of the screws 8 '. The celluloid putty filled into the press pot 1 is pressed with a pressure of about 100 to 200 kg per 1 cm 'through the sieve plate 6 and past the distributor elements 4' into the conical centering space of the slot die, where it accumulates and preforms is formed in order to emerge into a plate-shaped path together with the guide band through the exit slot 3.
The pressed film or plate is then pulled off the endless rotating guide belt. If the cell trloid mass is not tough enough to take the guide belt with it under the pressure, it is pulled through the slot at a speed that is approximately matched to the exit speed of the plastic mass from the slot by driving one of the various transport rollers 13: through By increasing the speed of rotation of the guide belt, the resulting films are stretched and their thickness is reduced.
The degree of viscosity of the celluloid mass can be regulated both by heating or cooling the mass, as well as the press or parts of the same, such as the slotted die.
Another procedure allows the production of webs in the form of films, plates and the like, which are ver with fibrous structures such as fabrics, paper and the like as inserts for the web. This is done, for example, in such a way that while the material for forming the web is being pressed through the exit slit of the die, the supplement for the web is placed on a band-shaped support element for the latter, for example the element 12 described above, or for example on the roller 15, through the exit slot,
or that during the pressing of the material to form the web .through the exit slit of the die, the tape intended as a supplement for the web is guided directly through the exit slit of the die instead of the guide belt .72. The plastic mass passed through the slot settles so firmly in the tissue as a result of the pressing pressure that a fleece consisting of celluloid and the like and tissue is obtained in this way in a single operation, which can be used for many purposes, for example as a rigid insert for Footwear that can be used immediately.
According to the new process, films, foils, plates and the like of any length in a width of up to 1000 mm and more and in thicknesses of up to approximately can be made from substances of all kinds, which can be softened by heat or the use of solvents Turn down 0.2 mm.
