Electricity meter housing. The invention relates to an electricity meter housing whose metal cap, provided with a protective coating, has tabs through which it is fastened to the geerde th housing part by means of screws, and consists in that the tabs are kept bare at the point where the screws are supported and provided with a conductive coating are. This creates a particularly simple and advantageous derivation for the housing cap.
Based on the drawing, which shows a Ausfüh approximately example of the housing for an electricity meter in section, the inven tion will be explained in more detail.
The enameled metal cap 1 of the meter housing is provided with welded tabs 2; it is attached to the housing part 5 by means of the screws 3, 4, namely the upper screw 3 ends in the hanging bracket 6, the lower screw 4 in a metal part 7 of the clamping piece B, which is preferably connected to the neutral conductor The housing is impossible to cut, the sealing ring 9 made of flexible material is provided between the housing cap 1 and the housing part 5. This sealing ring isolates the housing from the cap so that electrical charges are possible on the tap.
To dissipate these charges, the contact surface 10 for the screws 3, 4 is provided with a chemically applied copper coating. This creates a highly conductive connection between the housing cap 1 and the grounded housing part.
The copper coating could just as well be applied galvanically instead of chemically.
