In beiliegender Zeichnung ist der Erfin dungsgegenstand in zwei beispielsweisen Aus führungsformen dargestellt. Fig. 1 zeigt einen senkrechten Schnitt durch den Motor, das rohrförrnige Wellengehäuse und das Propeller- ager der ersten Ausführungsform; Fig. 2 stellt in grösserem 11Iassstabe einen Quer schnitt des Wellengehäuses nach der Linie A-.B in Fig. 1 dar; Fig. 3 zeigt das Pro pellerlagergehäuse in einer Ansicht von hin ten;
Outboard motor on boats. The present invention relates to an outboard motor with a vertical motor shaft on boats, in which the exhaust gases and the used cooling water are passed under water in a tubular housing surrounding the motor shaft. According to the invention, the exhaust gases and the used cooling water are led away in a shared drainage channel which opens out under a horizontal distribution plate on the tubular housing that extends backwards with respect to the direction of travel, while the fresh water is conveyed upwards through the propeller in a special channel becomes,
whose inlet opening is located under and in front of the outlet of the discharge channel.
In the accompanying drawing, the subject of the invention is shown in two exemplary embodiments. 1 shows a vertical section through the motor, the tubular shaft housing and the propeller support of the first embodiment; Fig. 2 shows a larger 11Iassstabe a cross section of the shaft housing along the line A-.B in Fig. 1; Fig. 3 shows the propeller bearing housing in a view from behind th;
Fig. 4 shows in vertical section and Fig. 5 in a rear view of the propeller bearing housing of the second embodiment.
1-3 has at the upper end of a tubular shaft housing 6 a combustion cylinder 5 with a horizontal cylinder axis that works on the vertical motor shaft 15 and at the lower end of this housing a Lagerge housing 7 for the propeller shaft. The shaft housing 6 is pivotable and lockable in a clamp 8, which can be attached to the boat. In the shaft housing, the motor shaft 15 is guided downwards in a central sleeve and, in the bearing housing 7, is coupled to the shaft of the propeller 9 by means of bevel gears.
For the supply and removal of the cooling water and for the exhaust gases from the shaft housing around the sleeve of the motor shaft channels are provided. The cooling water is from the propeller 9 through an opening 10 in a housing in the shaft 6 upwardly leading channel 11 presses, which is ver through a pipe with the upper part of the cooling jacket of the engine connected.
The outflowing cooling water and the exhaust gases enter a space provided below the engine cylinder and from this in a common channel 12 of the shaft housing 6, which forks in the upper part of the bearing housing 7 in horizontal channels 13, which in openings 14 under a open horizontal plate 20. Due to the combination of the exhaust gases with the outflowing cooling water, the volume of these gases is reduced by cooling, which has the effect of lowering the exhaust pressure and improving the underwater drainage. The vertical shaft 15 is protected from contact with the water.
The exhaust duct 12 in the housing 6 takes up most of the circumference around the sleeve of the motor shaft 15 and the duct 11 only takes up a small part.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 4 and 5, with all parts of the same design, the plate 20 has a greater length and width, so that the gas bubbles are prevented from rising, since the exhaust is removed. Gases spread under it in all directions and are broken up into very small bubbles before they rise to the surface of the water, which prevents annoying noises and annoying smells. On the other hand, the screw 9 can generate a higher pressure under this plate, which improves the water delivery in the channel 10, 11 ver.
